A delightful little Italian restaurant, we arrived early for our reservation and were instantly sat down. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was absolutely delicious. A wonderful place to watch the world go by before heading off to the theatre just down the road.
Excellent place with first class food and first class service
Exceptionally friendly and courteous staff. Made our evening 💕
Cosy authentic Italian restaurant with wonderfully friendly staff. The food was beautifully cooked and served. It was extremely good value for money in an area of town where it is sometimes very difficult to find a well cooked good value meal. Even the wine wasn't stupidly priced. Excellent pre-theatre meal thank you.
V nice food and good, friendly service. Decent wine choices. Well priced and clams were a shout.
Beautifully cooked Italian food and very quick service. Great location, right around the corner from the Palace Theatre which enabled us to get dinner between the parts of the Harry Potter Play. Great value for money too with the location it’s set in. Would definitely go back again!
Lovely restaurant with relaxing atmosphere. Good food and service. Highly recommended.
My daughter and I had a lovely experience here. Staff, service and food all outstanding, and at a very reasonable price.
Would definitely recommend and will return!
Lovely Italian restaurant with great ambience and and delicious food! Great dining experience!
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and the wine we chose was amazing. Wine list contained lots of good choices though.
Good honest Italian Fare at a reasonable price. Friendly and swift service. Would go again.
Booked for pre theatre dinner. The Cucciolo was ideally situated for the theatre we were visiting. Our table was ready on arrival and we were quickly seated. Our waiter brought our menus, which had a wide and varied choice, and left us just the right time before returning for our order. Drinks were delivered swiftly and there was no problem in providing a jug of iced water and extra glasses. We did not have to wait too long for our starters to arrive and were given a nicely timed gap before our main course was served. All 5 of our party thoroughly enjoyed both their starter and main course, which were perfectly cooked and well presented. 2 had room for dessert which was again much enjoyed, whilst the other 3 settled for coffee. The atmosphere was busy and buzzing without being over bearing or interfering with our table conversation. Staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. We had a lovely meal, served in good time without feeling rushed, but completed in good time to get across to the theatre. Would definitely return.
Good value. Staff friendly and efficient. Felt like traditional Italian food. Good quality. We would return.
Booked this for pre dinner meal based upon other reviews. Excellent choice. We were late and pit table had been given away. No problem in taking our order and getting us another table really quickly. Friendly staff. Lovely food. Past all dente . Will give again.
A great find and perfect for our dinner between Harry Potter shows.
Lovely food and excellent service even though they were very busy
Pre theatre meal. Service was quick and food good. Reasonably priced.
What a darling spot in SOHO for dinner. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Will be back!
this is a lovely little Italian restaurant. the service was friendly and quick. Pizza was really really good. Mozzarella starter was lovely. its not a big place but well laid out and great for a reasonably priced meal.
they have the longest pepper grinder, totally excessive but amusing
We enjoyed our pre-theatre meal at Il Cucciolo. Value was outstanding given its' location in the centre of London.
Very good feel to this restaurant, the staff are very friendly and efficient, the service was great and we both really enjoyed the food. The price was very very reasonable well worth a visit to enjoy this family run business.
Nice little place. Hearty food and appears to be family run.
Fabulous meal with good service. Nice quiet table at the rear. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Service was good , food tasted great good atmosphere that wasn’t to loud at all!
We had booked a table at Il Cucciolo between two theatre performances. The welcome from the staff was warm and relaxed. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was very comfortable and had the feel of a good, old fashioned, family run Italian restaurant. We will certainly return.
Food and wine was lovely. The staff seemed distracted and was hard to get their attention at times for example when I was ordering my meal the waiter was watching the table next to us, it took some time for him to bring his focus back to our table. Then he left before we finished ordering. A little frustrating but overall it was a nice experience thanks to the food.
An excellent place to eat where we have been many times. Friendly family run authentic Italian restaurant. Always a pleasure to go there.
Perfect location for a pre/post theatre meal with an excellent menu and friendly staff - thanks!
Essen war mittelmäßig. Hatten einen Tisch neben der Toilettentüre. Diese führt gleichzeitig zur Küche höchste und deshalb immer offen stand. Sehr unangenehme Toiletten-Gerüche.
Great food and service for the whole family. Went between Harry Potter shows and were out with plenty of time to spare
Okey but expensive
We loved our visit at your place! Lovely food and great service. The kids got a pantone-cake from the papa in the house😊 kind old man😊
Family run authentic Italian. Delicious freshly prepared food and generous portions.busy and clearly popular. Quite noisy as busy and all in one room...so fun but not for a quiet romantic meal.Enjoy!!
Really nice venue with lovely friendly staff, food was very tasty and really enjoyed the experience .
Amazing food and service. Truly authentic Italian food. We had the homemade gnocchi, bruschetta and Mozzarella. All were fantastic!
This was our fifth visit to Il Cucciolo during our annual visit to London and once again we had a really super evening meal. Traditional Italian atmosphere and food to accompany the situation.
I went with several work colleagues for a leaving/ Christmas lunch. Generally the food was very good. Pasta dishes very good, apparently. The pizzas looked amazing. The saltimbocca, veal with aubergine and steak were all very good. I ordered the pollo limone, which was a little disappointing because it was fairly small and the chicken was a bit tough. The sauteed potatoes were a little undercooked. The home made tiramisu was very light and delicious.
Service was a bit slow- it was 35mins before we got food. The restaurant was also fairly busy for a Tuesday lunchtime, which is a good sign. I would say it was also a bit pricey, but the pasta and pizza portions are generous.
I would go back, but I would stick to pizza or pasta dishes and leave room for tiramisu.
It was an awfully wet night and our table was just inside the door. There was a constant stream of people coming into the restauarnt , it was cold and draughty and why the owners did not put a notice up to say fully booked and not cause disturbance to people eating is beyond me. The restaurant was busy, but service was very slow and waiter not very attentive. The food portions were rather mean and overall the meal was avearge and pricey for what we had. although the food that we had was nicely cooked.
Been once before and it was much better on first vist.
Not a good start. Reserved a table for 3. Found ourselves in the corner at the back corner of the restaurant. Seemed to be filling up tables on first come, first served, basis. Aperitif.. for 3...G&T.. tonic was flat and already poured.. no slim-line available.. sent back.. reaction was"Look sir.. you should have told us before if you didn't want the tonic poured in first. Now I'm going to have to pour them away ! Food was good.. but honestly, I've been in more "authentic" Italian restaurants, especially in Soho.
