Fantastic restaurant! Service and food was outstanding! Highly recommended!
Great restaurant.
Very good on all fronts. One of my best meals in NYC in years!
The service and food was fantastic, the music gave a great atmosphere. Very pleased with the whole experience.
The food was lovely and the service was great, certainly an experience to have whilst in New York.
Rather austere room. Old school but not in a good way. Food ok, nothing special.
The food we received was just okay. It took a long time to get our food and then when the larger parties left they started cleaning as if we were not even present!!! Too pricey to be treated as such!!
Always a winner!!
The service is outstanding from greeting through departure. Everyone has a warm smile for every client. Service is impeccable and the food is delightful.
This is truly one of my favorite restaurants!!!! The food and service are simply exceptional. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just getting together with friends or family, Il Gattopardo is the right choice. They never disappoint. I have taken friends, family, and clients there and everyone raves about it! From pasta (Lasagna is my favorite) to fish and meat entrees, I have never been disappointed.
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was slammed that night so our total time there was 3 hours. Way too long for our liking, but our delightful waiter helped us not get cranky. Good food and attentive staff.
Absolutely love this special restaurant! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. One of my favorites in NYC.
Fabulous food and fabulous service! I could not ask for a better birthday dinner. Small, intimate setting in a beautiful old townhouse. We had a fantastic waiter in Enzo, who gave us very good advice on the wine and dessert. We will definitely be back next time we are in New York.
Saturday dining at lunch is better than mid-week when the rooms are filled with boisterous men.
We had a table of three and thoroughly enjoyed it last Saturday.
We each ordered the “special” .... pasta with truffle (2)
When presented with the bill we were shocked to see, $190.00
per entre. Seriously?? Pasta with a few truffle shavings?
This was outrageous. Even though white truffle is a delicacy, and we have enjoyed it previously in other establishments both here and abroad, we have be never seen $190.00 for pasta and a few truffle shavings.
Very very posh restaurant and scene. Outstanding food and service. They bring the fish table side and de bone if for you. I recommend the mascarpone sponge cake for dessert if you like tiramisu.
Terrible restaurant. Awful service. Mediocre food. Way over hyped and overpriced.
The food was good not great. There was a 30 minute delay between the 1st and 2nd course and the 2nd and 3rd course do to overbooking. Very expensive thus poor value.
Warm and cosy atmosphere , tasty food, good crowd, seems appreciated by locals, very competent and
helping staff, asked for items not on menu and were easely accomodated, will surely return
Very average restaurant. It looked hopeful and quaint from street level, but the actual restaurant looked like a 1980's IKEA boardroom. No ambiance. Just a long white room.
The service was fine and the menu good. But the food was pretty bland and not creative. I had the Octopus salad and really couldnt figure out what it was supposed to be. A healthy salad or something inventive with Octopus. Regardless, it could have been tofu as it had no flavour. Solo was good. Risotto was very bland with no real flavour except salt. Burrata was very liquidy.
Sorry, just being an honest Italian.
We were invited to go in a kind of internal courtyard which was cold. the food is ok but very expensive for what it is.
unfortunately i had a reservation and ended sitting in the downstairs area between the buildings. despite the use of portable heaters the area was quite cold and three of our guests wore their coats during dinner. this also made the food cold in a short period of time . for a price tag of close to $600 for 5 people (and two guests only had appetizers) i feel we should have been able to eat dinner in a warm room. i have eaten here numerous times but will not return nor would i recommend the restaurant to anyone in the future-sorry i am not one who typically writes reviews but i think its only fair that people should be warned
Absolutely Fantastic in every way. Staff and food were top of the line. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent food and service
It was good.
Very enjoyable experience. Arrived at the restaurant slightly ahead of reserved time and get seated immediately. The service was warm and professional. Food was presented nicely and with great quality.
I will re-visit again when I'm in New York City.
Much too expensive for the food that we received. The Dover sole was bland and almost everything we ordered was subpar. The only redeeming feature was the service. This restaurant was recommended to me but I would not recommend it to anyone else.
Everything was quite good — food, service, ambience — but too pricey. The waiter should state the price of the specials. We ordered several specials: a simple salad appetizer was $19, ravioli was $33, and turbot was $59. Two persons each ordered one appetizer, one entree and coffee. The tab was $171 before tip. But we did enjoy it. My cafe Americano ($9) was really good!
This is a lovely place to meet friends in midtown. It's an up-to-date yet old-fashioned Italian restaurant. Great, professional waiters; delicious food; and a nice contemporary vibe. Plus, you can even hear the people you're dining with!
Really good food and very attentive service .
Not the usual Italian .
Everything was outstanding, just a pasta order was a little under cook, not al dente.
Branzino was a little overcooked but still nice. Skimpy on the white truffles and very noisy at least the evening we were there. Great wine list and neat little bar area. I’d give it another shot but there’s a LOT of great Italian in New York.
Beaucoup trop de bruits insupportable!
Attention au service boissons, ils réservent sans cesse et poussent à la consommation
Great service. No atmosphere. Food is very pricey for lunch and just fair. Nothing special. We were very disappointed.
This restaurant was fabulous for our visit to NYC! Beware, the dress code is a little elevated and if you dress casually you will feel out of place. Most dishes are priced reasonably. Food was delicious. Service was incredible. Overall, a very special experience.
Top to bottom amazing experience
Excellent and authentic
Rock band in basement. Not the best of service. Thanks for free dessert. You still charged me for the soup
Noise allowed to be to great....cannot return. They could add ceiling softeners.......
Really good - people are great setting was very nice
