Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Food was tasty. The restaurant was tastefully simple and elegant. My only criticism would be is that the tables are far too close together. This makes it difficult to hear the person you are dining with but hear the others tables instead.

Fab food and drinks, welcome service , comfort and ambiance. Unisex toilets not great. Don't feel comfortable to be able to stay and top up lipstick at mirror, especially when gentlemen forget to close cubicle door whilst weeing.

The service and the atmosphere are impeccable. The staff are so friendly, kind and welcoming. The food tasted so good. Everything was authentic with a twist which was just right. I have another say about the portion for the value though. One more note, mixed bathrooms. It’s so awkward. Walking into the bathroom was not a fun experience although the bathroom itself was amazing.

Fantastic experience! We’ve never had Syrian food before so this was all new to us but it was fantastic. Loved everything-great pita & hummus, succulent chicken, delicious spicing. Just everything was perfect & we will be back.

Fantastic meal, both courses. They layers of flavour in the dishes were superb. A couple sat next to us half way through our meal and when I saw what they had, I wanted to try those meals too. Staff service was impeccable. First, but definitely not the last visit here! Thanks for the experience.

WOW!!! We wanted to visit after we had purchased the recipe book! A must visit! The food was incredible, so many choices, flavours - we will definitely be back! Great service and friendly welcoming staff.

Simply one of the best meals we’ve had in quite some time! Food was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy and there was a gentle buzz about the place. Could not recommend this wonderful restaurant enough.

Fabulous food - Baba Ghanouj to die for with its smoky flavour. The only downside was the Tahini Kofta as it was a bit dry and didn’t have the wow factor in the mouth of the other dishes. Will be back !

We had the most delicious lunch here. The Saroja and Haraa Absaeu were amazing. I would eat them everyday if I could! The space is beautiful and staff are lovely. I cant wait to come back again

Our first visit to the restaurant. Food was excellent,really flavoursome. we shared items some mezze items to start with then had separate mains and shared desserts. The whole party enjoyed it immensely. Only really minor comments, we arrived early and were told we could not order alcoholic drinks at the bar. With the noise level sometimes difficult to hear the server. I would highly recommend

Enjoyable experience. We came to this restaurant because we wanted to support Imad on his enterprise. The decor was lovely, service warm and appropriately attentive, and importantly the noise level was not deafening as can be in restaurants. The food was tasty but the portions pretty small for the pricing and some dishes seemed over salty and some under-salted. I'm reasonably familiar with Syrian and Lebanese food so maybe my expectations were too high. The slow cooked lamb was particularly delicious though. I'd still recommend the restaurant for a good experience and very nice for a get-together. Best of luck to Imad for the future and well done all he and his team have achieved thus far.

I had booked dinner for my friend’s birthday. As we walked in, she was greeted with a warm ‘happy birthday’ which set her on a super high note from the start. The restaurant owner came by every table and greeted everyone with a warm hello and a charming smile. The food was phenomenal and I’ve eaten at hundreds of Mediterranean restaurants!! The lamb skewers were heavenly as every bite just melted in my mouth!! We also ordered the grilled chicken with harissa mayo!! Devine!! The secret is in the balance of flavours and cooking that had your taste buds dancing!! I have already recommended this place to multiple friends will be returning for not just the food but the friendly staff!! Did I mention they surprised my friend and I with a baklava and a candle complimentary for her birthday!! What a night!! Love you guys!!

We had starters and mains. The starter with aubergine, halloumi and sour cherry was divine, as was the lamb kebab. Very attentive service, excellent food - however what made it extra special was that Imad overheard a question we had to the waitress and spent time talking to us and fetched (himself) a specific sauce from the kitchen for us. That is service and attention to detail from a different planet, highly recommended. The only downside for us - the wine list is very short and expensive. Maybe because its specific wines from Syria that are difficult to source (im guessing).
