Still the best egg curry in town. Authentic delicious food. Formica tables.
We booked the ‘South Indian bottomless brunch with cocktails and Prosecco’ for a birthday celebration. The staff looked surprised when we told them about our reservation and it seemed as if they had never heard of such a thing as a bottomless brunch. The ambiance didn’t quite match a bottomless brunch venue either so it felt like the restaurant was punching above their weight. Anyway, we ended up ordering from the regular menu and the meal was delicious. Generous portions, flavourful but without any frills. Will be back for a lunch but definitely not a place for a special occasion.
After 30-40 minutes of ordering, and almost finishing the starters, we were told that the main course is not available. Not a professional thing to do.
The service was good, and the staff very pleasant. My lamb bhuna - the chef special - was unfortunately not as good, or as tasty as I expected, but apparently the briyani was great.
Service really let down our meal at the India Club, we waited 45 minutes to receive our drinks after sitting down at the table and overall service was extremely slow throughout the meal. Food was ok however, very disappointing lack of service and attention to detail was disappointing.
Unique place within London
Full of character
Lots of history
Relaxing and friendly.
Not posh and bland - not grey with fake chandeliers like so many London restaurants .
Best dosa in the capitol. An institution a treasure. A hidden gem.
very good. hope the place can continue in a new way
No frills, really good food. Slightly frantic atmosphere but is was a very busy Saturday evening.
The India Club always delivers - delicious food, helpful service, quirky ambience and top value for money. Highly recommended.
Tasty curries but pilau rice a disappointment. Would not recommend set menu, think that one choice would be more satisfying and better value. Noise level off the scale, so don’t go for conversation with your companions. Would go again.
I've been coming here on and off for 45 years. Decent, unfussy Indian food at a very fair price. Deservedly popular but the downside is that it's very noisy when crowded- the problem being that there are hard reflective surfaces everywhere, and no absorbent ones. Might help if they put up eg fabric wall hangings.
Great food, friendly staff. Although they had closed, another customer was served food. Going again next time we visit London!
Wonderful. A truly unique venue.
The food was good however the service (other than for the food) was a little on the slow side and forgetful as we had to ask 3 times for our extra drinks. Despite this I would go back as the place has a certain charm about it!
We had a lovely meal at India Club. The food was served very quickly and was extremely flavourful. The restaurant looked a bit tired but this didn’t effect the meal. We will be back!
Extremely good quality food. Recommended for true authentic Indian cuisine. Good value for money. Simple, yet sufficient ambiance and friendly staff.
The authentic setting for this restaurant and the amazing food will be hard to beat if you fancy a curry whilst in London.
Delicious food, friendly staff and great value. Would recommend supporting this business
Authentic Indian meal reminded me of great canteen food while growing up India. Great service, good food (resembling home cooked) and historical venue. Always a good place to have a good curry.
Such a iconic establishment of London and great food and excellent service.
