I think this is going to become our new favorite local spot. We brought friends here and we eat here by ourselves too.
Food is delicious... service great, and the atmosphere is too... what isnt' there to love?
Best Indian food ever eaten outside India! Every dish tasted different, fresh vegetable, and also the appetizers were delicious.
The menu at Indian Table offers many dishes not found in your typical Indian restaurant, as this is not your typical Indian restaurant! Kevin, the host, is a pleasure and recommended a wonderful wine which was very reasonably priced. We asked for a dish that was not on the menu as an appetizer, and we were gladly accommodated. Highly recommended!
The food here is always good here but the service was a bit lacking this time. We had a reservation through Open Table for 5 people but when we arrived, our table was not ready. There was a four top and a smaller 2 top which they put together but it was awkward with the much smaller table. It took a long time for them to take our drink order and then they brought appetizers to our table before we had even given a food order. Thankfully we did not touch them and we had to let the server know to bring them to the adjoining table.
Overall everything was ok but service a bit disappointing on Mother's Day!
The receipes are amazing. Distinctive flavors that are well prepared and blended. We love Kevin and all the staff who always make us feel welcome and well taken care of. Ask Kevin to guide you through the full menu which changes seasonally. Excellent wine. Warm and cozy ambience.
Indian Table has the most delicious food! We ordered delivery and then came in to try a meal in the restaurant. The people are fun and nice and the food is outstanding. The portions are more than decent and their cooking is clean, not heavy or greasy. One of the staff even suggested adding spinach to a meal, a great recommendation. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes in the near future.
Indian Table continues to evolve and get better every time we go. The atmosphere is very welcoming - nice decor and low light but not so dark you can't see. The food has been delicious. We had Chaat to start, which was tasty but a little light on the lentil cracker. Samosas are not on the menu but can be ordered anyway. They were good. For entrees, we had the Saag Paneer which was creamy, full of paneer and a huge portion. The Shrimp Kerala was interesting - at first looking like the Chicken Tikka Masala (same color) but definitely a different flavor and the black mustard seeds gave it a little extra zing, kind of like popping a bit of caviar when I bit it. However, the shrimp was over cooked. It was chewy and could have used a few less minutes on the grill before it went into the curry. Chicken Tikka Masala was standard -- ie good -- but it's not a truly representative dish of India. Naan are crispy and light. The amount of rice served with three curries was small and we had to ask for more but it was no problem. There is a limited bar - beer and wine only - but a decent selection of wines. The only thing that is a bit bothersome is the level of delivery that goes on while you are eating in the dining room. The delivery guys are constantly going in and out or waiting on chairs by the bathroom and there is no winter enclosure on the front door -- it was very drafty and cold repeatedly.
Really loud, food is only above average. Also, what’s with all the security cameras pointed at the dining room?
First time and can’t wait to go back. Very comfortable neighborhood spot. My friends and I received excellent service. The food was amazing as well! Definitely recommend
We were a bit apprehensive about entering this restaurant as it was somewhat empty, but we had reservations and decided to go in. Good decision! It was early (7 pm) and the restaurant filled quickly. Kevin, the host, was very accommodating and answered our questions. All of the servers were very attentive and poured our wine throughout the meal. We had a delicious eggplant starter, and then we shared a creamy chicken entree with a side dish of sauteed spinach. We have eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants, and this one was one of the best. We loved the spinach so much we returned a few days later at lunch time and got a take out order for dinner that night. Highly recommend this restaurant!
The experience was good. The servers were both attentive. The fried calamari appetizer was fantastic. The lamb and shrimp entrees were good. Overall a good experience.
Upscale Indian restaurant. All the food we had was well prepared and flavorful. The wine the waiter recommended was an excellent pairing with the spicy food.
The food was delicious, and the servers were kind and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
The fabulous and creative Indian food served at Ghee is really special. However, the deafening noise level is a real problem if you want to carry on a conversation at dinner. We dined there twice, and both times were week nights, so I can only imagine the noise on the weekends. In fact, the second time, we opted to eat outside which was clearly quieter. The only downside to that is that there aren't that many tables.
This is one of our favorite places for Indian. The food is outstanding, service attentive and friendly, and decor is cool and appealing. The only drawback is the music, which was quite dull (like borderline Muzak). Honestly, if they played a good mix it would push this restaurant from “good” to “spectacular.”
Lovely authentic and tasty food and very attentive staff. It’s so nice to know there is an amazing Indian restaurant nearby now!
Wonderful flavors; real “home”’recipes. The service is great and the step-down ambiance charming. But most of all, each dish has it’s own character. We have been back 3 times and looking forward to many more!
Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Elevated Indian.
Made a reservation on Open Table, arrived early and was told there were no seats and no way to estimate when we might be seated. I may have accepted this explanation had the person sharing this information not been surly and dismissive as well. C’mon, this is NOT a five star restaurant, pretension and rudeness have no place with customers holding a reservation. This restaurant should be tossed from Open Table and any other reservation system if they have no intention of honoring these reservations. Be honest, tell prospective patrons you don’t accept them. BTW, there is an outstanding Thai restaurant, Ghang , across the street!!!
Very accommodating and the food is spot on! Will definitely be back!
We made a reservation, but the place was really busy when we got there, so we were not seated right away- in fact, it took about a half hour before we got a table. But we had a glass of wine at the bar, which was comped since we had to wait, so no harm no foul.
We ordered the tandoori mixed grill for an appetizer, which I highly recommend. A nice mix of chicken, salmon, and lamb with a variety of sauces and spices.
For the entree, I ordered a curry lamb dish which was excellent - I love spicy food, and asked for same - I was pleased with the outcome!
Service was good - ambiance was a bit noisy, but still nice - a very comfortable dining atmosphere.
We would go again, and would also recommend this restaurant to our friends.
I’ve been twice & both times, I loved their preparations. Everything tasted great. Servers are polite, knowledgeable & unobtrusive.
Good food. Reasonably priced including wine. Just wish the food were a little spicier.
Excellent! The service, the food, the ambiance all were just perfect.
We had a simple meal with our son and friend as we had been visiting our other son and daughter-in-law in Cobble Hill.
Chicken Tikki Masala and Chicken Biryani, lemon rice and garlic naan - ah, thinking about our next visit already!
The first time I tried Indian Table, shortly after they opened, I wasn’t impressed. This time was a different story. Avocado chicken appetizer was delicious and good for sharing. The Lamb madras was tasty though not as hot as expected and worked well with the Dal Makhani creaminess, perfect basmati and best naan I’ve had in ages. Wine choices were plentiful and priced well for the neighborhood. Lovely decor and good service. We will go back.
My fiancee and I LOVE this place! The atmosphere is lovely, the food is excellent and the service is great. Tell your friends!
Really tasty India food with reasonable portion sizes. We shared an app, entree and break and was enough for two. No liquor license, but conveniently there is a liquor store opposite so byob.
Great Indian that really satisfies. Their food ranged from mild to spicy. There's something for everyone. The Tandoori Mixed Grill is a must!
Splendid! Very good eggplant-coco!
Third time there and three times as impressed with the service quality of food and the ambience. I am from India and I know what authentic Indian flavors taste like. This is one such place.
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The food was fantastic. Everyone in my large party was in love with their food. They’re currently byob which is nice, there’s a wine store across the street. I can’t wait to come back and try another dish!
Pleasantly surprised excellent food and great veggie options. Service very good. Didn't realize it was BYOB but there's a drink shop opposite!
Best Indian food ever. Food portioned and priced just right. Try mango moose.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Also they are byob right now which is an added bonus.
Explosive flavors, good portions, menu w variety, reasonable prices. Couldn't keep myself from over eating. So glad to finally have good Indian in the neighborhood. Welcome!
Food was delicious and nice mix of conventional and some on conventional dishes. Different regions of Indian cooking we're on the menu.
Very good Indian food, it took way too long to get our food but I hope that was a one time slip up
We will go back
Excellent food and a friendly, solicitous staff. You may want to inquire: as of June 2017, they don't yet have their liquor license, so it's byob.
