This restaurant was recommended by my youngest daughter, and we went on a Friday night, as a group of 4. The table we were initially offered was a bit "hemmed in" woth other diners, but not a problem, we were moved to a booth of our choice with no issue at all.
Service was great, food was a lovely change to the CTM type food found in 99% of Indian (Bangladeshi) restaurants.
The owner, seeing our clean plates expressed concern that the portion sizes were a bit small, but this was not the case, we had enough to satisfy, and there was no waste. Perfect.
Bill was reasonable, and would reccomend this eatery to anyone in the area.
Food is always exceptional here. Highly recommend for any occasion
Excellent food as always. Fine Indian Dining.
We were seated quickly, and from then on we felt welcome and never ignored, staff answered our questions promptly and knowledgeably.
3 people, 2 courses each with 2 sundries and 3 drinks came to around £72.
Excellent as always, can see why they have won The Best Curry Restaurant in the North West award
Fantastic fresh flavours - the chilli paneer was to die for. The owner/manager? Treated us to a delicious desert afterwards. Would recommend highly.
Lovely food and presentation with good service. Food was fresh and hot with excellent flavours providing good Indian authentic experience
Good tasty food, much better than nearby Katmandu that so many rave about.
Slightly rushed service & a bit precious about poppadoms “not being authentic” precluded 5 stars
Our expectations were high as relatives had enjoyed their meal at Indique a week earlier. Four of us went last Sunday night and none of us would go again!
The mixed meat starter was the only dish we enjoyed. The lamb shank main course was hard and dry. The manager did offer to change it but as my friend was half way through it he declined. My partner and I both had different chicken curries which were tasty but the small pieces of chicken were dried out and tough. There was only one main course that was enjoyed. Main course portions are small. We would not recommend.
The staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile 😃 the cocktails were delicious and the food tasted as gorgeous as it looked!
It was expensive for what it was. I think it was just good presention but not special food
Fourth visit and the food and service never fails to impress. I will be back!
Creative, well presented dishes and a good atmosphere. Restaurant was packed out so service a little slow, could have done with another server. Poppadoms stale unfortunately. But mains were delicious so will definitely return!
Excellent food, service and value. Highly recommended North Indian jalfrezi is amazing!
I was really looking forward to going back to Indique, the food was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening - the staff were great and made us feel very welcome.
Very enjoyable experience, especially liked the cold starters. The vegan options were very tasty. The main was excellent.
Stunning meal with great vegetarian options. Lovely manager had a chat with us after the meal which is always nice. Can't wait to eat here again!
Good food as always, owner/manager extremely friendly and welcoming. Only downside was the air conditioning, too cold, as the temperature outside had dropped
We were 8 people, some had never eaten indian food before, and are afraid of too spicy food, and some like it very hot. All were satisfied, and really enjoyed the meal!
Great food and service as always, not your typical Indian restaurant and well worth a visit
Waiter was rude, literally no customer service skills
Didn’t smile once or was impolite
We asked for more poppadoms (they smash them up and put them in tiny little pots) which I was happy to pay for he looked as if I’d asked for his kidney
Food was average at best cold chicken was up all night being sick
Didn’t say anything it was my sons 18th birthday and didn’t want to create an atmosphere
Asked the bar tender who came to give some drinks for the bill we waited 10 minuets still no bill when I assume the owner care who wads exceptionally polite we mentioned we had asked the bar tender looked at him and shook her head
Wouldn’t go back
Food was lovely although menu selection quite limited compared to most Indian restaurants. If you want something a bit different then would definitely recommend it. If you are strictly a Madras/Vindaloo/Bhuna type then make sure you look at the menu before going. Service was great as was restaurant itself.
Excellent as always, the owner/manager is extremely attentive and knowledgeable and listens to your preferences and makes good recommendations based on this
Excellent food - the service is outstanding - helpful and friendly. Gave good recommendations for choices with the assurance they would change the dish if you didn’t like it - needless to say that didn’t need to be done . You get sensible portions with plenty of meat in your sauce and everything tastes wonderful - would definitely go back . I cannot emphasise how lovely the service is - they make everyone fell valued
Had a 10 layover in Manchester. Best Indian food ever. Worth the 15 minute uber ride. What a great surprise, it saved us from eating nasty airport food.
Excellent birthday meal, just a shame it wasn’t acknowledged by the restaurant as I had told them when I booked. Much better seating since refurb
Excellent food and lovely presentation, good value and would definitely go back again.
The owner was excellent and spent time with me and my wife and offered desert. Excellent service and food
Date night meal, had an amazing evening the food was outstanding, fantastic service and had a really nice/atmosphere setting could not fault.
We had two of the spinach-based dishes, and while the corn one was nicely seasoned and tasty, the cheese blocks in the other one were rubbery. The ambience was warm and pleasant, staff was friendly and helpful. The noise level was a bit high, but the restaurant was very full at that time so perhaps to be expected. I would definitely return.
amazing staff and brilliant resign and presented food
We visited the restaurant as a family of 4 based on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We had a range of dishes from the street food starters and all were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The chicken and lamb tikka starters were my favourite. The main dishes that followed were just as good and we even found room for dessert. We will definitely visit again as there were so many other dishes that I wanted to try. The staff were really friendly and even explained what was on each dish in detail, the mint and coriander decoration that was on the plates was amazing and didn’t just make the dishes look good it tasted so good that I licked it off the plates 😀 we are really pleased we have found such a good authentic Indian restaurant and we will definitely return very soon. My 7 year old who is usually fussy finished every plate and commented on how nice it was. Thanks for such a great meal.
Booked table as surprise for husband who had wanted to eat here for a while. We were not dissapointed - stunning food , tasty, great service - what more is there to say!? Looking forward to next visit - highly recommend .
This was the first time we had visited Indique after being recommended by friend and was not disappointed. The presentation and most importantly the taste of the food was excellent. The staff were all really friendly and made for a very relaxed meal. Liked it so much we booked again and invited four friends who love Indian food.
Summary: Really poor service. Ended up walking out
Table reservation was for 20:30. We arrived 10mins early and were asked to wait which was fine and we ordered some drinks. There were some tables free so didn’t think we’d have to wait too long. By 20:40 we had our drinks and another couple of tables also became free but we were still waiting with those collecting takeaways. At 20:45 I went to the bar to ask how much longer - we were a table of 2 and there were at least three vacant tables of that size available at the time. The bar man was polite and went to ask his boss who appeared to be in charge. He dismissively waved the barman away not willing to listen, apparently insinuating he was too busy. I waited another 5 mins trying to attract a member of waiting staffs attention but to no avail so paid for the drinks and left. We were there for 30 mins in total. If they’d have managed expectations or at least communicated we might’ve stayed. Instead we went to Kathmandu down the road, where we were seated immediately and had a great curry.
Really poor service let’s Indique down. The food is typically good but the service makes me think twice about going.
Once again delicious food, stunning presentation and polite and friendly staff. A beautiful take on Indian food, will be going back again and again!
We all enjoyed the wonderful flavours and the chef cooks it to your personal degree of spiciness! The staff are very helpful and as always we had a wonderful eating experience.
I went to indique with my brother-in-law. I am vegetarian + loved the wide selection of vegetarian dishes available. the dal makhani was excellent! would thoroughly recommend the restaurant
I can only say one thing about Indique.AMAZING.The food is really good and beautifully presented. The staff are helpful and excellent
Chose this location for its excellent vegetarian options, my girlfriend is unfortunately veggie 😂
The restaurant is quite small but cozy with its conservatory come extension.
The area is very busy and parking is a struggle.
We ordered poppadoms to start although these are given free as a tiny nibble portion as they are not truly authentic.
To start we both chose Kathi rolls, one meat one veg, these where beautifully presented and tasted very nice.
My girlfriend had tarka dal and I had lamb rogan nashii, we had pilau rice and garlic naan sundries, the main courses lacked in flavour with the tarka dal being of a more coarse nature than usual and the lamb being more like a gravy dish not a curry, there was nothing in the lamb dish other than chunks of meat and the gravy like sauce.
It was a nice enough dining experience, in summary, the options are great if you’re a vegetarian, not so good if you are not, I myself am not too keen on seafood which limits the options. Reasonably priced the bill was £55 including a drink each
Fantastic, well presented Indian food. Well priced and a lovely atmosphere and service. Will certainly be back.
