Advised visit was to celebrate a birthday when booking, but no acknowledgement of this experienced.
Food was good, but not outstanding. No beer available.
Service was acceptable.

Dear Michael, thanks for you comments. We do not make a fuss about someones birthday unless we are asked to do so. Comment ''food was good'' that is a complement. We always have beer available. Not sure what you mean by phrase ''service was acceptable'' maybe you should specify a bit more what wasn't right for you so we could clarify. There a wooden venetian blinds which hold minimal of dust no matter how often they are cleaned but they are not dirty! Being above average is a complement again.
Mouthwatering menu and the food was even better ,I had scallops and belly pork for starter and roast cod in a chowder for mains delicious ,I had this in San Francisco yesterday ago this brought back loads of great memories

The food was absolutely delicious. We were suprised that it wasn’t busier...I’m sure once the word spreads it will be full! Not a huge menu but enough choice for us and followed by a nice cocktail. Highly recommended

Highly recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. We had pea and mint soup to start which was really tasty and nice and hot. We chose the trio of lamb for main and it was delicious, melted in your mouth. The vegetables were seasoned and cooked nicely and we cleaned our plates. Fine dining at it's best. We will definitely be back.

Excellent proper home cooked roast dinner. Chicken was extremely moist but rather large and had to leave some.
Tagliattelle was delicious as was the fish pie

First time diners and we will most definitely be going back. Food was top notch and very reasonably priced. Staff were amazing. Attentive and friendly. And the toilets were beautifully clean. Nothing negative to say here.

Lovely cocktails and a 2 for £10 on that evening, great starter (chipolatas and homemade bread). Steak was ok, the pepper sauce saved it!!
