First time there. Was told by my son that it was outstanding. Our food and service was outstanding. Excellent at all levels. Won't hesitate to recommend and will be going back soon.
Great dinner. Had to sit outside in the parking lot which isn’t my favorite and the music was a little loud, but food quality and service were perfect as always.
First time visit, the food did not disappoint. Everything was prepared perfectly. We will definitely be back to try more options soon.
We have been to Ironwood many times and love it.
Thank you Thank you Thank you
Between the staff, the service, and the food itself -this is simply fiar & away the best place in this area of Orange County!! Have never had an issue and always puts a smile on your face upon arrival until you leave!! Last nights bison short rib was amazing!
The service was terrible and they had us seated right in the middle by the service door so it felt like a freeway of plates and dishes being cleaned. The server had an attitude and couldn’t be bothered with conversation. When we asked about certain items he didn’t really help and actually let us in the wrong direction. We had to ask for water many times as they basically ignored us even though we were right in the middle. As far as the food it was good to start, but way TOO much salt and some of these dishes the veggies weren’t prepped and still had the skins on nor cooked enough. Even the next day we were feeling the effects of over saltiness. We won’t be going back and was surprised all the positive reviews as it feels like they have an identity crisis overall and the staff isn’t thinking about the guest experience, only concerned with themselves.
We came to Ironwood with family members to celebrate Father ‘s day . Service was excellent , food good. The portion sizes for dinner entrees are huge … one entree is enough to feed two people easily . The Mac and cheese with bacon and chicken skin was a favorite at our table . Although the food was good the menu is a bit overpriced for what it is .
I have been coming to Ironwood for over a year now. Fabulous meal! Excellent Service !
Even though we had reservations and there were a few open tables inside, we got stuck in a white tent in the parking lot where the temperature was uncomfortably warm and there was utterly no ambiance. There were four of us, and they served two of our entrees at first, and then the other two some minutes later. Then, two of the entrees were past and vegetable dishes, one of which was full of pasta and the other had no pasta at all, so we had to send it back (and they apologized profusely and comp'd it, but still). The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. This is a good example of a chef trying to do to much and going backwards in the process, i.e., Salmon was served with some brown grain something or other that looked nice but didn't fit with the fish, and all our dishes were sort of that way -- things that were nice individually, but came together less than the sum of their parts. So, it was a generally disappointing evening, not necessarily bad, but there are just way too many other places one can go for a much better experience. Everybody agreed that by far the best part of the meal was stopping by McDonald's for $1 soft serve ice cream (nobody wanted to risk the Ironwood deserts) and that should tell you something about the experience. Must.do.better.
We made a reservation and requested outside seating. We were promptly seated in the outdoor “tent” area, which is away from La Paz with plenty of spacing. The tent took away from the ambiance - inside dining looked cozy, but we weren’t ready for that yet. Our server Benjamin was the right level of attentive without being obtrusive. The food was very well-prepared. Our friends ordered the rib eye split, and their dishes came out separately plated and beautifully divided. My husband had the sea bass and I had the salmon. Salmon is so tough to get right, and this piece was perfect. We look forward to coming back again!
Food and service was awesome!
Great craft cocktails, great food, great service!
Everything as usual.... amazing that's what keeps me coming back since opening. Ironwood is my favorite and 1st suggestion when dining out. Seabass is exceptional.
Wait staff spot on.
Very tasty and nicely served food! The service was great. Thanks
We waited over an hour for our meal and it was only two salads, one appetizer and the special of the night. There was never any update on our meal or apologies when it was so late. We have dined here a few times before and while the service is never stellar it was awful this time.
We hadn't been to this restaurant in some time and were eager to celebrate a birthday there. Parking was a slight problem as their outdoor seating has consumed a number of parking spaces and we needed to drop off a pair of mobility impaired diners.
Food was outstanding, but they seemed understaffed as things took a while to arrive. Also the noise level has higher than anticipated. I think when the Covid issues dissipate we'll certainly be back.
I will keep this simple. Great service with great food.
A great Waygu Burger with real French fries done rare as requested.
I eat here almost weekly and have never had a bad meal; the Giant Meatball is always a conversation started and tastes great if you like a little "kick".
Great wine list too
Exceptional. Great food and drinks. Staff was very friendly.
We enjoy this place, but service was extremely slow and food was cold when it arrived. Luckily we had a few drinks keep our spirits up! I keep forgetting that they do not give out bread before your meal and with the 40 minute wait on empty tummies that are drinking, they want to rethink that policy. No apologies or updates were provided as we waited too. Server seemed distracted.
Good for the most part. Dinner rushed , main coarse arrived while we at busy with appetizers. Food was excellent but main coarse served warm on a cold plate - disappointing. Very noisy. Good meal but not for an elegant dining experience.
Ironwood always delivers exceptional food and service. This time was no different! Cheers!
Always a treat to eat at Ironwood… excellent food and service.
It’s a little pricey, but the food is excellent and service was great
loved the crispy duck, scallops and creme brulee and the rest of our dinner
We had a very nice meal here on 6/5/21. The patio was nearly full even though it was only 5:30pm. My husband had the Sea Bass. It was beautiful, white and well seasoned. I had the salmon which I really enjoyed. It had a nice crust, but was very flaky inside. We also had a couple of glasses of the Malbec. Overall it was a lovely evening.
Wait staff were superb. Food on spot. always look forward to going there.
Excellent food in a classy "neighborhood" restaurant--in a shopping center. Offers patio, inside, or tent dining. Servers are very attentive.
Overall, a very nice dining experience, we brought our friends for their first time~ food excellent taste and quality, but our male server was not great; very slow to return for ordering main entrees, in following up to check on us, otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. They also could have expedited the table turn around for another party had he been on top of our service. Possibly they were down a server, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
As always, Ironwood does not disappoint!
The sea bass was excellent and the duck wing appetizer was delightful!
Food was delicious as always but service was slow.
Service and drinks were good....not impressed with the food
Our food was really good and even better was our conversation with “X”. He was amazing. We will be back because of him.
Another great meal! Thank you!
I had made reservations a few days before it had great reviews and the menu looked amazing. We got there and the host was super sweet. We go in and the place was nice, only thing is we got rude looks as if we weren't good enough to be there lol oh well wouldn't be the first time, the customers there were snooty. The waitress acted the same way at first when she came to the table, as if she didn't want to get stuck serving our table, there were 6 of us. I let it go and continued to be nice to her, maybe she was having a bad day, I've also been a waitress at one point and know what it can be like running around, serving multiple tables at once (might I add in the most ghetto side of my hometown). The kids were excited to actually be out given the current circumstances going out to a restaurant was a big deal. So we order drinks an appetizer, the charcuterie board, yummy... but took forever, we put in our orders and we waited over an hour until our food finally came out. At one point I wanted to just pay for the appetizer and head over to Canes chicken instead. We stayed and the food finally came, yes it was super yummy my son who is super picky teenager, LOVED his steak and didn't even ask for A1 sauce. so yes the food was great but the service was horrible once we got to our table I wouldn't make plans on going back for a second time. There are plenty of other places we can go to enjoy a night out for dinner where they actually ACT like they have good customer service.
The food was good but the service was mediocre. This is why I gave it a 3 although I really wanted to give it a 3.5 but this is not an option. There was also no kids meal and that was a bit frustrating to pay extra for this to have it go to waste. To say something positive, the ambiance is beautiful and this could definitely be a great place to go on a date—just avoid this place if you are looking for family friendly.
Love this wonderful neighborhood gem! Love the manager Patrick and all of the staff; excellent service and yummy food.
First time at Ironwood, we were celebrating our anniversary and we had a lovely evening. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be going back!
Always a delight. Great food, good service, and decent prices. One of our favorites. The burger and chicken schnitzel are two of our favorites.
