Open seven days a week from 7am until late, we serve a breakfast, all day and weekend menu of lean and light dishes inspired by South America and the Mediterranean alongside a classic cocktail menu featuring an extensive selection of tequilas and mezcals.
Isabel, Mayfair is part of the Santa Cruz Co, founded by Juan Santa Cruz, and is the sister restaurant to Casa Cruz in Notting Hill.
Water glass broke inside my daughter's mouth; food was mixed up, we never received half of an order even though we were charged for it, server brought 5 bottles of water without asking us if we wanted it, generally disappointing, very expensive, and lacklustre experience
Beautiful decor and nice atmosphere
Beautiful decor and nice atmosphere
I hadn't been to Isabel's in a while and had high expectations after last time I had been and it was birthday on top of that too. The room somehow lacked in cosiness I thought and although the food was good, it felt completely overpriced. I am not a picky customer and have tried most of the fancy and cool restaurants in London and I can't say I felt the love for Isabel's I'm afraid. The staff and service were top-notch though.
Had dinner on a Friday night with two couples. The waiter didn’t take our dinner order for an hour after seating which would have been fine except they informed us they needed the table back in two hours once our food started to come. We had not finished our meal and they had us move to the lounge so they could give our table to the next reservation. Bad service and sloppy management led to a poor overall dinning experience.
Great food, beautiful people and good service as always. One of my favorites.
This pretentious restaurant should be a bar, at most. It was arguably the worst dinner we've ever had in London. The food is as bad as it gets. The chicken had a mayonnaise-like terrible sauce. Fish was boring. The domino sweet potatoes were a joke (not even Waitrose worthy), and there was an excess of paprika almost everywhere. The lamp shade on our table had greasy fingertips stamped on it. The wooden wall covering was dirty. There's plenty of service staff but they are running around the salon. They got the Negroni ratios wrong, and carelessly added to mine a greyish orange peel. With so much staff and the high prices, you'd expect there is more attention to detail and a decent menu.
I loved the sound; so soft and nice The staff was great; humoru and service in aperfect combo!
Exquisite service, discrete but very efficient and friendly.
Not great value for money but delicious. Wine by the glass was very expensive £16/18 glass ! We ate only canapés, a starter, coffee and petite fours but enjoyed the ambience and the whole experience.
opulent atmosphere, really special.
Bonne cuisine internationale mais pas overwhelming .
Bonne ambiance, restaurant élégant
After much hype I finally tried Isabels and found it to be good but nothing to write home about. The decor is a bit garish, the food and service are good but not exceptional given the prices. I liked the tapas at the bar best and would go back for a light meal and cocktail in that format.
My wife and i had lunch at Isabel. Everything was fantastic. Everything was fantastic. Every dish was simply prepared, not a lot of ingredients, virtually no adornment of any kind, the food spoke for itself, in a really terrific way. The staff was attentive without being cloying. it is a beautiful room. i highly recommend this restaurant.
The atmosphere is excellent, however, the food and beverages are overpriced
This is my second time to isabel the first time was very good, the second time the food was terrible it had no taste my peoperd steak tasted like plastic the potato gnoochi was terrible too felt like mud, wouldnt come back
Over priced for the quality of service
Was charged for something I sent back (broccoli as was dry)
We really enjoyed our meal & the service, although we felt the experience was very rushed..
The decor was lovely!
Surprisingly poor service from management. Average food.
I will forgive poor food but not poor service.
We were initially greeted by a dark suited gentleman who made little effort to engage the two of us. Strange given this is an Italian restaurant.
The restaurant is very glitzy. Much more Doha than Rome or Milan
We waited too long to be served drinks and given the lunch menu.
Our waitress was devoid of personality and in fact was rude. We were only ever respectful to her but she was utterly disrespectiful to us.
She spoke probably 20 words to us and this included correcting my pronunciation of a gnocchi.
The main courses were poor. Risotto should never be served in a thin liquid juice. It was undercooked.
A restaurant is like any other business...it’s anout team work. This place felt disparate. Individuals in their own little space. The customers were an inconvenience. Extraordinary as we were two very easy customers just wanting a pleasant lunch.
I seriously suggest the staff and management go to The Game Bird at The Stafford or Langans or Number One Lombard Street to ascertain how customers should be treated.
We paid our bill and service charge and left without any fuss but never to return.
Ridiculous portion for the price and the long wait. Worst restaurant experience and terribly embarrassed for my guests.
Loved it and loved our waiter - really friendly and funny and made us feel so welcome.
Fantastic meal, beautiful ambience, sublime service. Excellent experience!
Great service, beautiful place, good food, delicious cocktails!
Too Pricy the Menu....
The service let me down but the staff made for it when I complained. This place can be a great place, they just need to improve communication between members of staff and waiters need to smile a little more and appear interested in what they are doing. We were greeted nicely and wowed by the surrounding then it went downhill. Our waitress did not smile and it was an effort just taking to her, made us feel unwanted. We waited ages for the food and when it did arrive it was not the same as what we ordered - looked like they had recently changed the menu and staff were still unclear as to what was and was not offer. I complained and after that a new waiter served us and things improved thereafter .
This was the most disappointing meal I have had in a long time. The service was terrible appetizers arrived after main course. We were not instructed that it was a sharing theme so we overordered and double ordered leaving lots of food for waster. The waiter was only interested in filling drinks. Was truly awful and very expensive experince.
Over priced for ok food, very small portions
Could be a nice place when food is better and people come back.
Or maybe such a bad experience because it was Sunday night ?
This use to be one of my favourite restaurants to frequent.
After this experience I sadly will not be returning. The food was edible at best.
Loved the room, food was good and it all added up to a lovely evening.
Amazing food and atmosphere.
Lovely place.. beautiful ambiance..
Tasteful surroundings... succulent tastes... Bar tenders a bit on the snobby side but I guess it fits the atmosphere .. amazing flower bouquets...price as expected...
This is the 3rd time I’ve been to Isabel.
Really disappointed as the staff were rude, they took our bottle water away and also our dessert before we had even finished
We booked at 4.30 when it was completely empty.
At 8.30pm when the restaurant still wasn’t busy they hassled us to leave.
It was my friends birthday and it was just awful.
It’s so expensive anyway but it is usually a lovely experience that’s why I booked.
I will be making a formal complaint.
great design & ambiance
disappointing food , just ordinary & an un exciting
The Pisco sour was excellent
This restaurant is very attractive and we went for drinks several times and enjoyed it.
This time we made a dinner reservation and we both find it way overprised and not worth to go back.
The waiter tries to do his best, but we do not want to be "entertained", we just want to have a nice evening out with good food, a good ambiance ( restaurant empty) and relax.
The food was average, nothing special, and too expensive.
Nice place, beautiful bar, design toilets, but average food and totally overpriced
The place looks stunning, but that's about it. Everything else is average, and it's really expensive, so not worth it overall.
One of the beat meals I’ve ever had. Tandoori fish tikka was a thing of beauty. Kerala fish curry was flavourful and mildly spicy, balanced with just the right amount of sweetness.
Atmosphere was lovely, it’s decorated like a set from the Darjeeling Limited.
There’s a million great restaurants in London but I’ll gladly make a point to come back when in town again.
Loved it! Food and service were impeccable.
Have eaten lunch at Isabel twice and it has always been a pleasing event. The food excellent and service friendly and polite.
Decor of the restaurant is high end and the ladies bathrooms are worth a visit alone!
A lovely, relaxed Saturday brunch in great surroundings. Staff were very helpful and the menu caters well for dairy and gluten intolerances. We hope to visit again!
The breakfast is really delicious and the staff were kind and helpful !
