A great place - perfect food, great drinks list, great service! What more could you want!
Bit of a wait but the food and drinks were amazing
The restaurant was clearly under-staffed. Service was extremely slow, took over 1 hour for us to receive our starter. My main dish had a hair in it. Waiters had very little time to attend to us as the restaurant was clearly operating over capacity. Food was okay, apart from the hair which I had in my dish, which basically ruined my experience. It is a shame, since the flavours were okay. I will not recommend because of the low quality of hygiene and service standards. Over priced.
Came for a valentines booking, food and cocktails very good
Excellent food and amazing cocktails #48 ? Friendly waitresses. Price appropriate for the quality of the food.
We had the last table available which was located by the door so not ideal.
The ambience and food is very good and the cocktails are different (in a good way!) The service could be better as we were forgotten about a couple of times and so were some of our dishes, which we had to keep asking for. Overall would definitely recommend this place!
Really super good, service and food both... Cocktails are awesome as well. Lovely atmosphere and music
Absolutely amazing. The food was to die for, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place for any occasion! Has a great time with delicious food and drinks
Great date night restaurant. perfect service, lobster was amazing, good prices, will be back
Excellent all round - would highly recommend. Good food and atmosphere
Average at the best ! Won’t rush back. Staff friendly but not much flavour to any of the food
Second time to this excellent gem on Bethnal Green road.
Everything about the place is quality!
Let’s hope it gains more notice and keeps standards high!
I would say a very good place for a special dinner. Our experience was perfect, let's say that inside you can have your own space cause there aren't too many seats and this is already important. Then the service was outstanding, a very kind and smiley staff (another very important thing to me) which helped us with our choices due to some food Intolerances (gluten and dairy) which however let us had some very nice and truly japanese dishes. Quality is meant to be paid, but I swear that was worth every single pound paid. Definitely recommended! (written by an Italian, if that can means something)
We had spent an amazing night at Issho-Ni last Friday. The cocktails were amazing, smooth and different to what we are normally used to. The food was delicious and fresh. And of course the service was just perfect, everyone very friendly! Thank you Claire for creating this restaurant! :)
Great food, a little bit pricey, but fairly standard for Japanese fare in London. Friendly staff and good atmosphere in a central location. Definitely recommend!
If you are a sushi lover this place is not to be missed. Wine selection was small but the wine we had was fabulous. Food was top as well as service. Will visit again for sure !
The whole service manifests it’s self from entering to the actual service which is impeccable. Staff are polite and courteous. Attention to detail was adhered to and food was delicious. The owner kindly recommended which vine goes with each dish and the choice was second to none. I have paid a particular attention to cleanliness of the toilets and no faults so far - the sink and a tap absolutely compliment each other. Great experience from an overall view. But should I be really picky... Since this is a Japanese restaurant- I would of expect that attire could be more appropriate.
The food was amazing!!! Really recommend it :-)
Had a very pleasant evening at Issho-Ni. I would recommend it, the food was excellent - the sea bream did melt in my mouth as suggested kindly by the waitress. Also the Prawn Tempura was spectacular...my mouth is salivating as i am writing.
I don't especially like Japanese food but I was prevailed on by a friend to try this place and was very positively surprised. The Iberico skewers and the prawn tempura were delicious and the sushi with the lemon aioli was a marvellous twist on a standard classic. (We had seconds!). The service was friendly and efficient without being obtrusive, and the atmosphere was great without being too noisy. The cocktails included interesting takes on classics, but with a Japanese twist. I think the only dud note was the grilled sea bass which was very ordinary. Will definitely be back.
Really good food and the service was great!
New menu, same amazing food. Friendly and helpful staff, great cocktails and superlative dishes.
Booked a table for my partners birthday lunch and brought our little new born along with us.
Got a nice spacious table with space for the baby.
The menu was surprisingly interesting with a large selection.
We had a mixture of sushi (sashimi) and foie gras Nigiri which was divine. The rice was cooked well. We also had the dark ink squid soba noodles which I very much enjoyed. We also had the prawn tempura which was very well cooked and better than a lot of tempura prawns I’ve had. The chilli, mayo and spice with tangy flavour really came together and taste buds were satisfied. The Wagu beef skewers were good and didn’t need any sauce as they were flavoursome.
My partner said the Cocktail whisky was well made and I finished my non alcoholic drink very quickly. It was very good.
The service was a good pace but they forgot it was partners birthday so didn’t bring out the Mochi ice cream until after we had ordered a dessert.
The waitress was very polite and apologetic.
It worked out to be an expensive lunch being over £100 but we were happy with the food.
The ambience is relaxed and great for friends and family. There was a course taking place in the restaurant.
All in all would return for the food and thumbs up for the chef.
Awful service and average food. Overall a bad experience
The front of house was completely miserable, the staff untrained - poor service, the waitress could hardly understand what I was saying, the Pedron peppers were limp, I had to send them back and they were as bad as the first lot, the edamame was not seasoned with any salt - how basic can that be? Sadly this restaurant has little future if it carries on Lille this - I went there because I thought the pedigree would carry it - sadly NOT!!!!
Delicious food, lovely staff! Overall great experience!
The sushi rolls were very good. Overall, we enjoyed the food there. The only downside for us was that service was very slow, and the pairings of cold vs hot food wasn’t really thought out. It was just whatever was ready came out, and they didn’t mention that is something to expect. We waited for our last dish for probably a good 15-20 minutes after everything else had been served. In the end they were really nice about it, and very apologetic for the wait. We would go back if the service improves.
Every dish was delicious. Excellent service also, they red all of our requests in the booking and responding accordingly. People say it's expensive but we were surprised it didn't come to more (£88 sharing about 6 plates, 3 glasses of wine and a dessert each including service... More than Nandos but reasonable for the quality, delicacy and novelty of the food)
Amazing food especially the sweet corn tempura and the prawn tempura, so good!
Just a bit further down Bethnal Green Rd which separates the abundance of choice. It is quieter, which is better, and situated under apartments. However, once inside, it feels like a restaurant. Knowledgeable yet unimposing staff and the food is exquisite. Small plates of serious flavour for a reasonable price. Top marks!
Excellent food, amazing & unusual melange of flavours. Good cocktails.
The best sushi in town. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing cocktails. It is, by far, my favourite place in London. The new menu is well thought and I deeply enjoy seeing how crowded it is every night, they deserve it.
Food was really good...only downside was a very limited wine list...oh and stay away from the worlds largest chicken wings...they are MASSIVE and messy to eat...does not really go with the rest of the stunning food.
We were very happy to find Issho-Ni close to where we were staying in East London. It is always a good surprise to find a restaurant of this quality on your doorstep.
We chose to eat a selection of small plates, vegetarian and fish all were excellent but I would particularly recommend the Seared Butterfish and the Sweetcorn fritters with truffle aioli.
Great cocktails as well!
Excellent food with varied menu. Generous portions. Recommended
Too much frying, too many sauces with questionable taste. Keep it simple please! Everything was very oily as well. For the price absolutely not worth it. Service was good, staff friendly. Thursday evening was almost empty.
Great food and service and a fantastic selection of drinks. Highly recommended.
Food and service was great! Will definitely be returning.
An amazing experience as always. The specials were a great recommendation from staff and the cocktails must be amongst the best in London.
