A very good restaurant. It is my third time visit. Will come again.
Staff was extremely friendly, quick service very attentive. The food was delicious fresh and clean. Will definitely be back there again
Tourist trap
Maybe better for dinner. Lunch was okay - more expensive than their other location and in my opinion not as good. But ambiance was amazing and we got to try on kimonos. The host and servers were really nice as well. Overall I think it's a good place to check out at least once!
A massive disappointment. Having watched the great review videos they promote on their website, our experience was nothing of the sort. After making a reservation weeks in advance we entered expecting to change into yukatas only to to be told we could “maybe change later” after sitting down. We were then shown to our seat at the bar, and expected to see all the great fish and seafood out on beds of ice, but everything was bare! Instead we sat at the bar beside a few dusty corals and sake bottles (which were very dusty). Next we ordered the matcha expecting to be able to whisk it ourselves (they even have instructions for whisking in the menu) only to be brought out pre-made glasses of matcha tea. Next we ordered some sushi, including the tower and other combos, only to see the chef at the bar pull out a pre-made tray of cut fish and hastily put together our orders. The fish and uni we ordered did not seem the freshest (the uni was brown and mushy, and the tuna tasted fishy and we found several fish scales in our sashimi) and after quickly finishing our meal in disappointment, we quickly left. I should also note that the restaurant was not very busy when we first arrived but gradually began to fill up during our meal. Nobody was given a yukata to wear and you could sense other guests were a bit taken aback at the experience received compared to what they had likely seen promoted on the wonderful video reviews of this place. I get the sense that this place is doing well based on says videos and have let their standards slip as a result. I try to avoid using the term “tourist trap” but I feel that best sums up the bait and switch feeling we had after dining here.
Good service , delicious food , I like this local Japanese restaurant . It should be very nice if there are non-smoking area .
Me and my husband travelled to Japan from London on holiday and was recommended this place by my cousin. Everything about it was really nice, the waitress, the restaurant itself and the chef prepared the meal in front of us as we sat at the counter.
We also got to try on their kimonos which gave the experience a really Japanese feel
They asked for the two places at THE COUNTER after two hours, we were just about to order dessert and they "kindly" asked us out.

メニューにある商品はランチで訪れたのにもかかわらず、既にsold out となっているものも多く またその記載が無いため注文しても品切れです。というものもありました。
ご飯も大きくお酢も効いておらず、お寿司？といった印象でした。
お寿司を食べ慣れていない人にはお店のインテイリアに感心するでしょうが、味わいたくて訪れるならお勧めできません。
このアプリで訪れるお店は良いお店と今一つのお店の差が激しいのが残念です。
Love the atmosphere and this one was close to Akasaka-Mitsuke station so very convenient!
Wonderful restaurant with quality sushi. The interior is delightful and you can experience the true craft of sushi-making firsthand. Extremely recommended for tourists who want to experience something unique!
Wonderful setting with amazing food! The yukata definitely made the whole experience even better.
Feels like they were a little under staffed the night we went, the waitstaff was running around and trying so hard to meet everyone’s demand.
Overall a great experience and will be visiting again next time we visit Tokyo!
Excellent sushi. Good layout and drink prices, and no shoes which I appreciated. They have lockers for your shoes at the front. Also have traditional Japanese attire (kimonos, etc) if you want to wear it.
ランチを利用したが、他に空席が目立つにも拘らず、食事を終えて早々に退店を迫られたことが残念だった。
食事の内容は大変満足。
Wonderful service and food. We ordered an Omasake, “chef’s choice” - I highly recommend!
入り口から席までとても魅力的で個人的にすごく好きな雰囲気でした！
テーブル席でしたが、隣と近いというようなことがなく周りを気にしなくてもいい空間で居心地がよかったです。
ランチで行きましたが、お料理もとても美味しかったです！
また機会があったら行きたいです。

Food was good. The sushi master was good. Everything was fine, except the price was a bit high.
Food was ok. super touristy. Foh staff were dicks, and you could tel, they didn't like they're job. sushi was atop pre made rice balls. worst meal i had in japan.

Make a reservation. This is the best location b/c of their orchestra style layout of the restaurant where you can see the sushi chef make all of the sushi while cooked items are done in the kitchen in the back. They had all of the items we wanted so that was a plus. Greta value for quality seafood.
Wonderfully fun experience in a great part of Tokyo. Food was very good and inexpensive.

土曜日の19時に訪問しましたが、閑散としていました。だんだん人が入ってきましたが、殆どが外国人でした。真正面にいらっしゃる板前さんを囲むようにカウンターがあり、ひな壇のような作りでテーブルがあり、テーブル席からも板前さんが目に入ります。壁や照明が華やかで、舞台装置のようで、外国人には喜ばれそうですが、私はお寿司はもう少し落ち着いた雰囲気でいただきたいな・・と、思いました。
Sushi is great as usual. We come back every time we visit Tokyo!
Good for tourists if you want to leave the “real sushi experience”
We went there as a family with young kids and the place was excellent. The food was very good and decent value for Tokyo. I would definite recommend friends to go there is they are visiting. I’m sure there are local haunts that have higher quality or better value but this is great
ステキなお店です（╹◡╹）2回続けて利用させて頂きました。ひとつだけ言わせて頂くと、お客様の前です、何度もスタッフを叱りつけたり、指導するのは、絶対やめて頂きたい。それ以外は最高です。

Itamae was a great choice for our group of 10. The food was delicious and the group was accommodated easily with a reservation. The service was a bit slow, but the food was worth the wait!
Great space, rasrefully lit and dressed. You know you are in Japan. No shoes . Leave them in your locker at the door and keep your wood key. Super fresh fish. Skilled sushi chef to watch. Great staff helpful with english. Lcals are hete too. Loved this place. Close to the hotel and easy to find.
It must’ve been a busy night but several dishes were forgotten on our order. It might’ve been the lack of English speaking employees there. Overall, the food was great and we were able to dress up in geisha outfits for my friend’s bachelorette party in Tokyo! I’d still come back especially for the experience :) great ambiance and decor!
We had a wonderful night at Itamae Sushi Edo. But there’s something about it that just seem out of place.
Welcoming was a bit odd, we were left on the waiting room for a bit before being taken to the wonderful salon that was rather empty. So why wait?
Food and drinks were very good, not a Michelin kind of place, but that was not the case nor their promise. But it was a very good sushi! And prices were quite ok also.
But again, there was something sloppy about the service that made us not feel in Japan at all. Ar first we thought we had fallen in a big tourist trap, but then food was so good and for such a great price in such a beautiful atmosphere that it simply couldn’t be the case.
Well I would definitely recommend it to anyone expecting to spend a night in a great sushi place in Tokyo.
To management: don’t be afraid of foreigners. You could do better.

Nice restaurant in Akasaka, close to the subway station. Staff is friendly and speaks ok english. Sushi / Tempura / sake were really good.
男性スタッフの接客態度がおざなり。料理は、他の客に渡して運んでもらうし、ホームページのようなサービス精神旺盛な店でない。特にカード精算後、カードを他の客の前に何にも言わずに置いていく、最低。がっかりした。
Took a child there for a birthday and they made it a very special occasion for the kids, the staff were lovely and friendly. Couldn't thank them enough.
