Staff was outstanding and the food was delicious!
The food is outstanding Definitely my favorite restaurant and bat
Great food, drinks and service.
From the moment we walked in the door , to the food recommendation to the food was impeccable. We will definitely be back .
Was Bonnie Ruth’s now is J. Theodore. Think the waiter today was the same one I had when I last visited this property as Bonnie Ruth’s. His service was abysmal. Had a hard stop on the back of a birthday lunch. Left my daughter without water. Bread never arrived. Took 3/4 of my sandwich home as there was no time to eat it. No chance to order wine, dessert or coffee. Needed check and waited over 20 min for him to pick it up. Won’t return. Horrible waste of first time seeing my guest in 5 months.
Service was phenomenal. Outdoor patio had lots of shaded seating. Food was great. Would def come back
Love this place. Derek and Sheree have done a great job!
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I love what they’ve done with this place.
This restaurant is new. Used to be Bonnie Ruths. The restaurant is well decorated. The service was outstanding. The owners were close by to make sure everything went smoothly. The menu is interesting. Our food was well prepared. Overall we were quite pleased with our maiden voyage and will be back.
Great food, live music and the staff did an amazing job with sanitation.
Checked out this re-invention of a long-time local bistro concept and was not disappointed. The new owners have invested a lot of energy and time into a thoughtful menu and a fresh look for the space. Our table had the charcuterie board, deviled eggs, sliders, roast chicken and two pastas. All were outstanding, as well as the cocktails. Will definitely return soon!
Remodeled my favorite restaurant with new decor. Very stylish. Glad a lot of the same menu items that I loved were still there. Enjoyed the new vibe. Can't wait to try out the patio on a better weather day!
Excellent food and ambiance a great dining experience
Everything was great!
Love the remodeled rooms. Beautiful atmosphere. Had lunch in the speak easy room. Tables were too close for private conversation. Choose another room for that. They are about to remodel the other side so it will all be lovely. Very attentive service. Had salad with balsamic and grilled chicken candied pecans. It was average. Bonnie Ruth’s in Plano has a similar one that is delicious. Must be the dressing. I was surprised to learn they are separate. Love the wind protected patio at Frisco location. I would return and try a different entree.
Loud.... both crowd and music
We were there on the night after Valentine's day so expected it to be busy. That said, when we arrived, our reservations were there but we were not seated for another 20 minutes. Once seated, service was slow and the server was obviously harried. The frustrating part was that we had to wait almost 30 minutes after our table was cleared before we could get our bill and another 15 minutes to pay after that.
We have eaten here a few times and have enjoyed it. Unfortunately the Saturday after Valentine's day wasn't a good experience. We got seated on time. We ordered the Valentine's dinner - a 4 course fixed price dinner. Even though the waitress mentioned a couple of times the kitchen was backed up, it took an hour for the first 2 courses to be served and another half hour for the entree. A complimentary glass of champagne was included with the meal but we had to ask for it since it wasn't offered to us. The waitress also missed my wife's drink order twice but at least it didn't show up on the bill. Unfortunately we weren't offered a drink during the long wait nor was there any compensation on the bill. Just not a good experience.
Still waited 30 mins after having a reservation. The server was not aware of the menu and could answer any questions related to wines we had
Valentines Day with a special four course dinner card to choose from for a fixed price. Food was fine, but something was off as the timing of plates was way too long. Seated in a room that was by the front door and very cold and drafty every time the door opened. I will go back on a regular night with the regular menu and ask to be seated in the main dining room/ bar area .
We have been before and we were disappointed that escargot was no longer on the menu. The food that we ordered was well prepared and delicious.
Great value and service! This is our "go to" restaurant in Frisco. Happy Hour lasts until 7:00pm!
The two people at our table raved about the Paradise salad. I was disappointed in my Croque Monsieur - too little ham and too much bread.
But I will come back and try something else.
Food and service were great. We were seated on a table right next to a family with four little kids. It was very noisy. Hostess should be more aware of how to seat people.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. I will talk to the hostess about your visit, I appreciate the input. We hope to see you back soon!
Delicious seafood and steak menu. Very fresh ingredients.
Always one of our favorites. A great go-to restaurant. These new Rare Books Bar is incredible!
Bonnie Ruth’s turned my boyfriend’s and my “every day dining” into a date night out. We checked in early and asked to go to the bar— super thankful to the host for letting us know the speakeasy is now opening on Wednesday nights! We went there first. You need to know the “Book of the Day,” but they’ll help you with it. Swanky, cozy, good for dates or taking friends. Whiskey and Scotch list is incredible— I enjoyed a glass of Orphan Barrel 15 year. Thank you to Avi for the hospitality!
We equally loved our experience in the dining room. Quaint, French-style bistro. Terry was our server and was equally as hospitable. The beef bourguignon and chicken cordon bleu were fantastic. Loved the wine list— we enjoyed the Sandhi Pinot Noir with dinner. Thank you for an outstanding first visit! We will be back!
We were regulars at the Bonnie Ruth’s Allen location before they moved to Plano. We know how the standard menu items should look and taste. Frisco location was a huge let down. The desserts were the saving grace.
NYE - wonderful food, service & atmosphere
Food is okay
Nice date place. Good food. Attentive service.
Caramel, pecan, coconut cake was outstanding, one of the best desserts we’ve had in years. The slice was easily big enough for 3, and it was fairly priced at $8. A flatbread with shrimp and bacon and a chicken Cobb salad were tasty. Major disappointment were the scallops. Listed as “diver’s scallops” they were smallish and overpriced at $32 for 4. Taste was ok, short of expectations. Service was attentive but at bit unpolished. Would recommend overall, but avoid the scallops.
Great food and always enjoy sitting on the patio -- a warm fireplace, blankets at your chair and heaters make the secluded patio a hidden gem for our community.
Their Thanksgiving buffet was good. They had Turkey, ham and prime rib. Wish they had rolls instead of biscuits and brown gravy along with the Turkey gravy but overall the family enjoyed dinner.
It was Thanksgiving and my family was not going to be able to make it to our house, this year, so I decided to let someone else do the cooking for me😁 I made my reservations 2 months in advance, since Bonnie Ruth’s has been so full every time I’ve called prior to this occasion.
We arrived and the parking lot was half full. We were escorted quickly to our table and the waiter came shortly thereafter to take our drink order. We, then took our turns at the buffet. We ALL had the shrimp cocktail, which was very tender and delicious. Then we went on the entrees... I had the ham and loved it! My husband had the prime rib and was very happy with it. We both had portions of the mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, and scalloped corn. It was all good but the corn was especially savory and delicious. After that, we made our way to the dessert tables which were covered in scrumptious delights! We both had the cream puffs and chocolate croissants, and I had some of the chocolate praline. None of it disappointed! Mmmmm.. so good😁Meanwhile our waiter anticipated our every need and we were made to feel like royalty😁Thanks Bonnie Ruth’s for making this a great Thanksgiving for us. We’ll be back!
Thanksgiving Day buffet was quite nice. All our favorite comfort foods plus a few more exotic items. Dressing and gravy was just right in texture and seasonings. Very good service.
New ownership is doing a wonderful job! They’ve transformed the space and added a really cool speakeasy with awesome cocktails, jazz music and moody decor. Definitely didn’t feel like we were in the ‘burbs!
We had drinks and appetizers in the Speakeasy. It was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back.
