Great food and great value
Atmosphere and food was incredible, Chef went out of his way to prepare a dish that was no longer on the menu for me. Definitely will dine at Jack's again.
Everything perfict. Service, drinks, ambience, food all wonderful. We haven't been to Jack's for several years, but will be back soon. We highly recommend it.
Our dinners were delicious & the service was outstanding!!
I enjoyed the raw oysters and the steak but the whole place feels like it is stick in time and needs a fresh update—music—ferns—making the Old a world come alive again.
Not impressed, but would give it a second chance. Seemed expensive for quality of food. Overrated.
We visited the first Friday during ent. There was a limited menu, we opted for the stuffed lobster tail which was ok. The lobster was a little tough and had to cut with a steak knife. At a$42 price you expect perfection. Otherwise a nice but pricey meal.
A friend from Albany recommended Jack's. I owe him big time. It was a great place to eat and very charmimg.
Love the atmosphere however dinner was good but not great! Little disappointed!!!
It was very nice,This is my second time there and it won’t be last,My wife was very please with the drink and the food!
Wonderful as always!
A perfect meal.
Very satisfied with the level of service we received. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.
Had gone to Jack's with my son for a Saturday night dinner disappointed that we were not informed it was a limited Valentine's Day weekend menu wait staff was very accommodating although was not able to eat what we came for
Love Jack’s. Unique and classy decor. Superb service. The clam chowder and salmon are very well prepared. A wonder evening out
Great food, great service.
We had a delightful Valentines Day Dinner; everything was delicious! It was a lovely evening. They had a prix fixe menu for the evening, when we arrived the tables were strewn with rose petals. Very nice touch!
A wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. Service was outstanding (thanks to our waiter Daniel), as was the food. This restaurant is the class of Albany.
We love Jacks
I had the Prime Rib and it was DELICIOUS! Enjoyed an oyster appetizer at the bar before dinner. Always good to go home to Jack's Oyster House.
Great experience! Food, service, ambiance - everything was wonderful. We had a great time at this landmark restaurant.
Its the charm, atmosphere, and most of all well dressed, manured wait staff (I enjoy that formality) that I go to Jacks for. The food is most consistent, not excellent, but always eatable . I don't mind paying for the total experience. We had the fried fish/chips (excellent) the filet sandwich (a bit dry) the oysters (excellent),shrimp cocktail enormous shrimp ( overcooked) and the butternut salad (disappointing) they did comp the salad. Dessert the chocolate peanut cake (excellent) creme brulee (passable)
No matter what, its the best old establishment in ALBANY and I recommend you good and enjoy your visit.
Great place to enjoy. Food was delicious and service was superb.
The service at the restaurant was outstanding. The food was excellent. The meal was done to perfection
Not a great selection of food but the oysters were amazing!
We lo e Jacks
Attentive, elegant service; beautifully maintained, handsome and historic rooms; inventive and classic food—superb crab cakes and excellent veggie risotto—and good wine list. Jack’s is perfect for a special occasion or a post-legislative dinner. We’ll be back!
Best restaurant in Albany. First class place family owned. No freaking chain here
Great food and great service as always. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.
As always the service, food and friendliness was wonderful. Worked with me for dietary restrictions.
Jack’s never disappoints! Wonderful food and service. A great place for any occasion.
New Year's Eve lobster tail dinner was delicious.
Kudos to our waiter Leon who made the evening even more special. He's the best!
We went out for a holiday dinner. Our waiter was courteous, the drinks were good and I always like the food. It’s a lovely place for a night out.
Christmas day dinner at Jack's was exceptionally delicious! Appetizers to dessert satisfied our palate with five star satisfaction!
We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at Jack's; the food was delicious, the service impeccable, the price reasonable, given the food and service we received. We've already decided to make Jack's our new Christmas dinner tradition.
it would have been nice if music was playing in the background... anything would have been nice.
Walking into Jacks Oyster House is like coming home after a long time away.
It is clean, welcoming, the motif is calming
I truly look fwd to days and nights out to Jack's.
Wonderful restaurant. My Significant Other had steak- delicious. I had a pan seared salmon-too dry. Only two restrooms, not enough for the crowd. No coat room. Great place to go when going to the Times Union for a show
