   We had a fabulous meal and were very well looked after with a great setting. The only thing that put a small dampener on the evening was the bill, as it was considerably over priced.

   We had a warm and friendly welcome. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. The food was fabulous. On the hottest day of the year so far, we were very comfortable in the air conditioned restaurant. Thank you to the staff for sorting our additional requests successfully.     From the moment we arrived, the service levels were incredibly high. Efficient staff were friendly and were happy to offer advice on the food and the wine. The quality of the food was equally impressive. Also, and importantly, once we were finished, we did not have to wait around to be given our bill or to pay - something that appears to be a common factor these days.

    I had heard lots of bad comments about Jaques but my daughter had bought me a voucher and the 4 of us was looked after perfectly. Our Sunday lunch was magnificent!!!!

    Overall excellent however banoffee frozen in part and stuck to cardboard base. Slight overbalanced towards sweet over savoury. Choices of teas great and ability to try different ones for each course excellent. Staff discreet and attentive, ambience appropriate.

    I went here for my birthday yesterday (26th May) and it was amazing. From the moment myself and my mom walked into the restaurant from when we left, the service we received was amazing. The decor was exquisite and the food was amazing

    The Manager Will was welcoming and very knowledgeable. The food was incredibly salty and too much butter in some dishes. Halibut Ceviche was, slightly tough and very salty. Maybe a dash of coconut milk on the ceviche and less soy sauce. The halibut with the thai sauce - lovely but needed more thai flavour which unfortunately was masked by too much butter. The side of broccoli and carrots were heavily salted and inedible. Bread delicious, steak and chips just lovely. A few tweaks needed to the flavour and season in my opinion. But, the staff and ambience were lovely.

    Relaxed atmosphere with very attentive but not intrusive staff. Afternoon tea was delicious- too much at one sitting but you get a “doggy bag” to take home.

    Superb food, superb wine and great service. Definitely will be back. What I admire is the sourcing local, fresh produce negating the need for plastic packaging. Classic British food with a twist, delicious.

    We visited for Sunday Lunch and ordered the Roast Chicken and Roast Beef. Food was delivered to the table and there had been a mistake as we had Roast Chicken and a Roast Pork, the waitress quickly sorted and it turns out the Chef had accidentally mixed two tickets up. The waitress was excellent and the food tasty and good sized portions. The waitress brought us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was very nice. All in all a very enjoyable meal in a very classy restaurant.
