Jaime's at Hilton London Watford
Service was awful. Nothing against the ladies serving but they did not fit in with the hilton standards. Lots of 'umms, errrs and dunnos'. When talking to one girl about the menu she was too busy looking at another table and then talking over us at someone else and we had to repeat everything we had said. Not very good serving manners. Asked if we wanted drinks when we had just been given them, girl questioned the difference between medium and medium rare steak and said 'is there even a difference, well I usually just get well done'. Service was extremely slow as well, too busy up front chatting. Only 4 tables that night so service should have been alot better. Food was delicious though, well done to the chef!
Completely different experience at breakfast next day, couldn't fault the team.
Having said we were in a hurry it took three quarters of an hour before starters arrived. Then although we had agreed the mains would be started to be cooked at same time as starters they took another twenty minutes before arriving after we had finished the starters. And the sides arrived 10minutes after their mains by which time we had almost finished the mains.
Manager apologised kindly and gave extra drink and deducted poor gnocchis and late sides from bill.
Incredibly poor for a Jamie’s advertised restaurant (although noted that Jamie’s name has been erased from anywhere in the establishment!)
