It was wonderful!
We went during Restaurant Week, with four tapas items and one dessert per person, it was plenty of food.
Great food and drinks, great service, nice ambience
Great service-tops in all ways. Food was a treat.
We went for restaurant week and the food was incredible!!! Every dish was better than the last!
Overall I had a great experience, but I can't say I'll come back. The food was good... a bit under seasoned for me, but good. We went during restaurant week so we were able to choose 5 tapas from a list with various option. Great options! I recommend their chicken fritters and the chocolate custard-like dessert. The staff were amazing and the bathroom was spotless.
I just decided that tapas are not my thing 💁🏾♀️.
Family in for visit
Such a warm reception! Restaurant week so we had the prix fixe offering with 4 courses with 4 choices. Really delicious food. Kind, attentive service. Would go again in a heartbeat and take any age level with me. Great place!
The restaurant week menu was fantastic and a great value. We went twice during our stay on business.
Damyn is one of the chefs there and always takes care of us. What a fantastic experience.
Value for money is definitely an opinion. This place ain't cheap, but the food is outstanding. The Iberian pork used melts in your mouth, just so good. Every dish has a nice balance of flavors and is never boring. I do wish the beer selection was better but that is a relatively minor complaint. Going with the chef's choice is highly recommended and, truthfully, not that expensive for the quality/quantity of food you get.
Really nice food, however a bit pricey for portions in most cases.
Loved the decor and atmosphere as well. Service was well done.
Three of us came in at $225 with tip.
Jaleo fabulous dining experience
Great food and service
Need under $40 options on wine list
Menu is hard to read, the waitress wasn’t friendly, the food was subpar - especially for the price.
Very nice atmosphere and great service. Food was amazing and just kept coming!
Always love dining st Jaleo. This location is great - convenient to the metro and outside seating is always available when it's nice out.
Best meal for lunch in Crystal City. I will be returning soon with another group of co-workers.
Wow! Unlimited tapas in a festive New Years Eve atmosphere. The tapas were not compromised from their usual presentation and came quickly. The service we had from Oscar was outstanding. It was appropriately loud and musical. Well done.
Another fantastic NYE party with Jaleo's. Mac, our server was great, the food was outstanding, thanks to Chef Aaron and was delicious! Thanks to Nick Porter - manager & my favorite wine guy - Andy Myers for your professionalism and friendship over the years. Our group had over half of newbies to Jaleo's and they love it! Wishing all of the Jaleo - Crystal City team a Happy & Prosperous 2020!
Jaleo never disappoints, as evidenced by our decision to spend 4 of the past 5 years ringing-in the New Year here (and every anniversary of the day we met at this fantastic restaurant and we think it’s best location). We had a wonderful New Year’s celebration. Menu was terrific, as was the Gipsy King cover band. Can’t wait until next year, and all of our impromptu visits in between.
New year’s dinner
Jaleo is a great place to enjoy really good shared food and drinks with friends! We always enjoy our experiences at Jaleo!
Superb food and service! The pulpo tapas was the best!
The Baked Eggs skillet was way too hot, both my guest and I burned our mouths on the food and it took over 30mins to cool. Everything else was great.
We went there as a family. Everyone enjoyed the food! Service was excellent. Quality of food was excellent and prices were reasonable for an upscale restaurant. We all love Jose Andres and his philanthropic actions. Wish there was a Jaleo in Philly.
There is so much stuff for vegetarians and very tasty! Yum..
Lovely dinner, great food, friendly staff and fun for all! Love the tapas!!! Cheers
First time brunch at Jaelo. Rebecca, our server was phenomenal. She provided great recommendations and was super courteous and friendly. She patiently explained the many options available to us. We tried the Classic tapas tour and original mimosas. The food was delish! I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food; however, the chef’s selections were a well balanced, flavorful, and absolutely worth trying.
Food is always good at Jaleos.
Excellent classic and nouveau tapas. Very good service. A little pricey and very noisy.
We dined on a Sunday night. The restaurant was uncharacteristically not filled, so quiet. We enjoyed the trio of sparkling beverages, a cider, a brut, and a rose. Both cavas were particularly pleasant. The oysters with caviar were like sipping the ocean. We shared a number of tapas. The pork belly was lean, moist and flavorful. Clementines were featured on our visit so we enjoyed a fennel salad, with clementines, pomegranates and fried almonds. Dessert was clementines with custard, vermut and clementine granita. Wonderfully refreshing. Service was attentive.
The food was on point! The pan cristal is always a great accompaniment to savory dishes. We alway love the bunuelos and croquetas, as well as the calamari. The service was also on point, cleared and took reorders promptly, but unobtrusively. Desserts also exceeded our expectations.
Great food and drink
Generally, I love the food and service. 99 times out of 100, it's an excellent experience. This time, the food was just not quite as good as I remembered and service--while prompt--was off just a bit.
Great place and great food. Went for lunch with my husband and the suggestions were spot on. Will definitely visit again.
We love Jaleo! Our waiter was very helpful, and we chose the "Jose's Way" fixed price dinner. I had 2 glasses of Rioja as well. Started with the liquid olives & tomato toast. The Iberico pork dishes (cold cuts & tenderloin) were outstanding. We loved the chorizo "pigs in blankets", endive w/ citrus & almonds, shrimp, egg dish, rabbit, et.al. Everything was yummy & authentic. The chocolate dessert was very unique & good. Cappuccino completed our feast. The only experience that rose above this one was our dinner @ Mini Bar (seated @ Jose's Table). The molecular gastronomy is awesome!
Delicious tapas on a cold winter's night. Great flavor combinations across the board. Stand out was the scallops with butternut squash puree and orange segments. Service was perfect and always at the ready.
Overpriced with mediocre flavors. Great service but have had better tapas elsewhere
I went here for lunch with colleagues and we did the set lunch menu. This was absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of food and the courses were all wonderfully spaced out. I had croquets, chicken bites and a balsamic onion with goat cheese and finally for desert a delicious vanilla and lavender ice cream. This may not sound like a ton of food written out this way but I will say I got more food than at most tapas places I've been in the past and I was pleasantly full at the end. The servers were incredibly attentive (without being overbearing) and exceedingly kind. I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely recommend to others.
Great space for a business dinner (which is what we had). Lots of different dishes, and the service was very good. Would certainly go back.
Great food. Fun place excellent service.
