Slow service, food was bland and overpriced
Jam Jar is the loveliest spot for brunch in Jesmond! The menu is varied and you can customise how you like! The service was absolutely lovely and the food was incredible! Would highly recommend
We went for food and no one was eating more like a pub if I'm honest
Lovely burgers and a nice friendly, busy atmosphere - even on a wed night.
Staff were very attentive throughout our bottomless brunch & all extremely friendly! Will definitely return in future
Excellent food and service
Won't be returning, staff not interested in taking orders, had to wait 30 mins to be asked for drinks will not be returning
The food was great as usual! But the service was shocking!! They took almost half an hour to take a drinks order, even after the waiter said on arrival that we were the only table who had booked that evening. And the waiter we flagged down seemed too much in a rush to take our order, and was a bit borderline rude about doing it, not sure i would come again for food if I got the same service!
Food was lovely although we were unaware that the only menu available until 4pm was the brunch menu. We oy found this out when ordering.
The bar itself is beautiful, staff friendly and cocktails are worth the money.
The food was delicious, service at the perfect level of attentiveness and a great buzzing atmosphere.
Was good would visit again. Even changed the tv channel for me.
excellent food (had the special) fresh, tasty & great value for money - will be going again
Amazing bar and restaurant. We sat outside and had food. Outdoot seating area is a sun trap and amazing for the summer days to enjoy a burger & pint!
Very fast and friendly service, great food and good value for bottomless brunch. More drink options would be welcomed.
Had a lovely Sunday afternoon welcomed at the front by a very nice security man who made us feel welcome straight away.
The staff were very attentive and always at hand
Finished the day with their pie of the month delicious
Can’t wait to return
We’ll done the jam jar
No warning of onions in beans of breakfast, no ask of allergies. Wife allergic to onions and only found out when she went to take a fork of beans there was onions in it, staff never bothered coming to take orders had to go to bar twice.
They charge £28 for boozy brunch where the offer mimosas and Bellini, they do not serve a Bellini properly as it is meant to come with vodka and soda and all you get at your table is Prosecco and peach juice. Ripping people off and not serving cocktails as per their own menu.
Good old pub with a lovely atmosphere for a pint.
We were overcharged £60 for drinks we didn’t have. Then only given a credit rather than a refund. Not impressed!
Up the citeh
A nice range of reasonably priced cocktails/drinks and very good food
Food was absolutely amazing! Service was a little slow, with delays on having orders taken and drinks to arrive but overall was a really lovely brunch!
Gary is a gem
Bottomless brunch! Amazing
Oder drinks twice and notgjing came so we ordered again and they took 40 mins to arrive
Great place with fast service (especially compared to other bars in newcastle and on osbourne road).
Would be nice to be able to book for more than 2 hours - but it’s understandable to everyone has a fair shot at drinking.
Loved it fab bar! Lovely staff. Great cocktails. Excellent atmosphere!
Couldn’t have asked for better service and environment. Staff were quick and communicated well when they had to sort other people first. Music was class and there was a great environment.
Great experiences, service, staff and atmosphere. Thanks so much!
Absolutely loved our visit to jam jar, it was our favourite spot of the day! The service was fantastic, the table was ready when we arrived, drinks didn't take too long to be made, cocktails were delicious and well priced, and the ambience was great. We are excited to return ASAP to check out the bottomless brunch. Massive shout out to our server, we didn't catch his name, but he was hosting, taking drinks orders and delivering drinks, an absolute star
Absolutely brilliant time had at Jam Jar, can’t fault a single thing!
Overall we had a lovely night. The food was really nice. Some of the cocktails were great but some weren’t as nice, they tasted like the proportions of flavours were slightly off so they were too sour/bitter. The only other downside is that the staff took a long time to come over and it was difficult to get their attention. Having only 2 hours booked, it meant it was difficult to get our value for money and get as many drinks in as we might have wanted in the time. I think it would be great if the staff did more regular rounds asking if anyone wants a drink.
Really nice met my boyfriend here, such a cute place
Our first visit and won’t be our last. Also to add it was the first visit back to a bar since the easing of restrictions. 10/10. Staff so lovely, bubbly, chatty and service was so attentive. Drinks were great. Absolutely LOVED the cocktails. Wonderful atmosphere and just all round a delightful bar. Will be seeing you again soon!
Excellent service and drinks for the opening day on Monday the 12th
Had a nice visit for brunch. I had the Salmon, avocado and English muffin and my partner had something with chorizo jam. I thought mine was tasty, but a bit pricey for what it was, partner thought the same of his. The staff were very attentive and very friendly, couldn't fault them. The ambience was very relaxed like a trendy pub would be, very stundent-y. but that's not a problem for us. Would definitely visit again, might try something a bit more adventurous next time. :)
Service on arrival was good but once seated it took a long time to receive a menu despite the restaurant being very quiet and then also took a while to take our order and receive drinks. Understandable if busy but it was very quiet and there appeared to be lots of staff.
Booked for dinner at 8pm but kitchen was closed. Staff were apologetic but it was pretty inconvenient. Come on guys, get a grip.
If we weren’t seated next to the coffee machine it would’ve been amazing as that in my ear did leave me with a migraine in the end but otherwise a gorgeous brunch spot.
Great experience from beginning to end.
Tom was great alongside all of the team.
Great atmosphere, fast service and amazing cocktails.
