   Great fit out, great ambience, excellent service but disappointing food. There was nothing about it that elevated it or made it memorable.

   Beautiful space. Food was decent. Service was terrible. We were at the restaurant for 2.5 hours; At least 1.5 of those was spent just waiting around. For drinks, for menus, for the bill, etc. I know service in general is quite different in the UK (than Canada or the US), but this team could not have been less interested in serving us. We had to chase someone down anytime we needed anything. I’ve never experienced having to get up from my table to find a wine list—at least not at an establishment that charges £20 for a cocktail and has an esteemed chefs name on the front door.

   Fantastic meal! Fantastic experience! I expected the food to be pretty good as I’ve been watching Jamie Oliver cook on TV forever, but WOW! This was amazing! Service was spectacular as well. Best visit to London yet!

   It all started pretty well. Amazing cocktails and were seated pretty pronto. Not a massive fan of the area to the side whether we had a seat but ok. Then we waited for 20mins for someone to notice us and we placed our order. Starters were good and came quickly. But then there was a 40min wait for our mains. They say that the pork chop has a long wait time. Maybe had we known that we would have ordered something quicker. Fine, it arrived minus one side dish order (came when we finished our meal so was comp). My prawn pasta was overcooked. I am unsure how Jamie can allow such a mistake!! Pasta-he had written many a book on the subject. Our wine also came after we finished starters. So needless to say the staff (all very friendly) tried their best and did give us some money off but it wasn’t a great experience. Maybe go but not on a Saturday as it seems that the kitchen can’t cope with very busy periods. The pork chop is very nice though!

    The first thing to say is that the food was excellent. I had a rump steak, cooked how I requested, good vegetables, my partner had pork chop, which was large but also excellent. Very good indeed. However, the service did not match the food quality. We booked for, and arrived at, 18:00. We ordered wine and then our food choices. The wine took approximately 15 minutes to arrive. The food arrived at 18:50. At 19:30, we were approached as we had to vacate our table for others, but we were moved to another table, and were given a complimentary drink. This also happened to the family at the next table, earlier: there were, I assume, two parents and 2 or 3 girls. They wanted to order dessert, but this was simply not allowed. The point is that a large group of diners were expected, so tables had to be placed together. However, this did not start to happen (just napkins) until at least 20 minutes later, after we had moved. So throwing one family out, and hassling us, was quite unnecessary, and spoiled what was otherwise a good birthday treat. If you have a policy that only gives diners a set time, you need to speed your service accordingly. I shall not be recommending this restaurant.
