Really wanted to like this. Lovely restaurant and comfortable table but that was about it. Servers were kind but it was 15 min before anyone came to our table, Food was just ok but lacked flavor and very expensive for portion size. I had a better dinner at a pub the night before for half the price. So disappointed. Really left the last day of sour trip on a bad note.

Enjoyed the vibe and ambience. Service was a tad slow, and they forgot to bro g my wine with me meal. Dessert was the best course. Both were excellent. Entrees were good but the pastry on my pie was not cooked properly- was dense and not flaky on the middle.

Chips and broccoli sides arrived cold. Server forgot bread. Allotment pie was very bland. Disappointing after seeing Chef’s Table. I love Jamie Oliver, and have most of his cook books. This was the one restaurant I booked on our trip to London this week and it was very disappointing.

This is my second visit in the past year to St. Catherine street. This year, like last year, the experience was wonderful. From been greeted on arrival, to a pre dinner drink at the bar, then service of food in a timely manner, complemented by great staff was exemplary. A great experience which I can highly recommend.

Food and drinks were decent. Service not so much. Got a third of a cup of water and drank it right away. No one filled up water the entire rest of the night for any of us. Had to stop the waiter and ask for every little thing. He never came to our table to see if we needed anything. Not once. Empty plates not even cleared up until there was no room on the table when dessert came (for which we had to flag him down to order). When we paid and signed the check, he just put the paper in front of us and left. No thank you or good night or any words. We didn’t have a complicated order or any reason for this kind of service. Just rude waiter.

From the hostess, to wait staff, the food is as advertised, amazing. Home cooked feeling. Trevor’s Chicken amazing! Ambience we loved as we sat in breeze way. If you are in London, check it out!

We booked for Father's Day and came with our 3 teenage children. The restaurant is open and airy and was cool on a hot day, we were surprised despite it being very busy that the noise level was quite low in the main restaurant. It was a lovely place for a family meal, very relaxed and didn't feel overly formal. Two of the kids ordered from the kids menu and their meals were very good sized and well presented, especially the good quality fresh vegetable starter and the warm cookies and banana milk desert. Our starters (tomatoes on bread and seafood cocktail) were also really good sized and very tasty, as were the mains (massive and beautiful roast beef and crab pasta, smashed burger for our 16 yr old). Unfortunately twice after ordering we were informed that one of the starters we ordered and one of the mains weren't available-our booking was at 5 pm on Father's Day so this was a bit surprising. The complimentarty sticky toffee pudding for Dad's was amazing, possibly the highlight of the meal. We all left full which says a lot as we are a family with big appetites! Would definitely come back for a family meal.

We really enjoyed our lunch which was a birthday celebration for mum and father's day treat for dad. We loved the decor and styling but we were waiting a little for our table, would have been a good opportunity to read the menu but were not offered them. The waiter acknowledged Father's Day with a free beer which went down very well, but forgot about the birthday but took it onboard when reminded. There was a change of shift in wait staff during our reservation and can say that both staff were efficient and responsive to needs when requested. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol I was pleased to see non alcoholic options on the drinks menu, but I would have loved more choice on the aperitifs (Mother Root, Seedlip, Crodino for example). Having said that, the homemade cherry soda was lush. Food was great, a mixture of roasts plus a Botham Burger. The roast carrots were epic. Personally I would have liked a jug of extra gravy on the table, but I do love my gravy! Desserts were delicious and the homemade ice cream was excellent. I did have a birthday message on my sticky toffee pudding and a candle which was sweet. Just wanted to say the sticky toffee was perfect, especially in warm weather. Not too heavy. Perfect. We'd love to come back again, maybe in the winter for the cosy vibes!
