This spectacular Italian restaurant is housed in the former supper halls of the Assembly Rooms on George Street, in Edinburgh's city centre. Perhaps our most elegant restaurant – grand ceilings, impressive cornicing and scarlet walls, teamed with red velvet chairs and chandeliers, make Jamie's Italian in Edinburgh an amazing spot for a special night out. Our central location means it's easy to drop in at any time of the day or evening too.

Overall 4food 5service 5ambience 4

This was our 2nd visit in a week. The first was the previous Friday. We had no reservation but was seated at the bar. That was great! We saw the cooks make tapenade the bread boards meat boards. Loud and bustling time. Food amazing. Came back the fri food was good came in was sat in the upstairs far corner. Not the same ambiance as it was not as busy. Had mentioned it was for anniversary on open table but never was even asked if special occasion. Food overall good but not as great as the first experience. Though our server was nice!
