Overall a superb meal and so delicious and a breath of fresh air for Pontypridd. Only one fault, our drinks order was taken just once at the start and then nothing for the rest of the meal. Yes we could have called them over but the place was busy and the staff seemed a little under the pump. Will definitely return

Absolutely stunning food, the flavours and quality of the ingredients was excellent. The honey chicken had a nice spicy kick, and the duck boa was delicious. The decor was calm and relaxing and there was a nice atmosphere. Janet came around to make sure everything was ok with our food and chatted which was so lovely. Highly recommend, we can't wait for our next visit.

Very attentive service, even when a big party came in. Food came at a good pace and we felt cared about. I always love how much Janet cares about our experience! I tried their special and it was gorgeous.

Outstanding, freshly cooked food. Went for a meal at lunchtime for my husband’s birthday. Had the crispy sweet and sour pork and Korean honey chicken - delicious. Washed down with a couple of bottles of Tsingtao. Friendly, efficient service, would highly recommend.

The food is very good. Way better than usual Chinese. Service a little slow, but not a problem as acceptable for individually cooked fresh food. Rather noisy with a group of female revellers. Very friendly staff. A very pleasant eating experience, will definitely return.

Third visit to Janets now and still amazing. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely. I couldn't believe how busy it was for a Wednesday afternoon, just goes to show how good the food is here.

Lovely friendly and popular restaurant. The food was really delicious. The staff are lovely. The gluten free choices are limited but I expected that because of the nature of the food. They were very thorough helping me through that. Hope to return with more friends soon.

Lovely restaurant fab food. 2 things let it down, service from waiting staff wasn't great the bill was practically thrown at us. Also table was directly beside radiator so one of the party practically cooked during the evening - we had to swap seats. We defi go back as food great.

This place is just what Pontypridd needs, The staff are very friendly and professional, The food is absolutely stunning, Went to the Ivy Asia last week and Janet's knocks spots off it. £65 compared to £189 in The Ivy.

This is our second visit this time with friends. We love the food and way it is served, it is excellent and we will definitely be coming again if we can get a table at this super popular restaurant! Looking forward to when there are desserts on offer too!

"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return. The wontons, gyoza, spring rolls, Welsh beef noodles, bimimbap & Korean honey chicken are amazing all fresh and piping hot we all loved it, also best Vietnamese prawn crackers Service was great well-timed, friendly and attentive, absolutely great place to go!! We loved our first visit to this cosy, little eatery. We weren't quite sure what to expect having only ever read about Janet's success at her small unit inside Ponty Market and her move into a slightly larger premises just outside of it. On arrival, almost all tables were full and there was a lovely buzz of chatter from the diners and we could see that the serving staff were rushing about trying to ensure all needs were met. We loved the fact that you could see the chefs doing their thing through an opening in a far wall. Despite a fairly small menu, all options were desirable and the final selection was quite difficult. We were very pleased with our individual menu choices which we washed down with the very easy to drink Tsingtao Lager and whilst we ate, we discussed how we wanted to try so many more dishes next time we visited as we watched the servers bring food to the other diners. Having moved into the area recently, we are always looking for new experiences to enable us to gather a list of favourite places to visit as often as we can. A lovely evening - great food, attentive service, fairly priced - we will definitely come back to Janet's!

The food is superb, the ambiance is very good having Janet on hand to discuss and suggest wonderful and the location is convenient to transport. My criticism is the speed of service, the starter plates cleared immediately following by the main course. The food is wonderful and cooked fresh per order why the rush.

We really enjoyed our evening. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were vey attentive. The food was excellent. We had two vegetarian meals, sweet and sour pork and Korean chicken with a side of rice. Also 2 portions of spring rolls and 4 drinks. It was reasonably priced. I would definitely go back again.

First time visit for us what a shock , choice was small , meals didn't come with rice or noodles, all extra cost ended up paying £13 for 6 pieces of beef and noodles to go with our meals, even though meals are prepared freshly for you , you dont get everyones the same time , brought out adhoc and not altogether, starters arrived after our mains , for what it is well overpriced

Dear Debra, We are really sorry about the beef noodle clearly there were some mistakes when we made the dish for you that day which we will taking account to ensure it won't happen again. We write on our menu clearly that we don't do starters or main courses whatever ready we will send out to ensure the freshness of all our dishes. We prefer this way rather than let the food sitting under the heat lamp. Oue food price range from 6.9 to 15.9 for the most expensive ones.we are sorry that you find that expensive.
