Authentic dishes all very tasty and generous portions . There were 3 of us and we ordered 3 starters/ small plates and 3 main dishes and there was plenty with some leftovers too. Delicious new dessert too well worth trying .

Delicious food in a quiet, clean modern and friendly environment. Cash only transactions at time or visiting. Limited but more than adequate food & drinks menu. Will definitely visit again.

The venue is lovely. Service was really good and would recommend that people give it a try. Food wise the starters, dim sum, was superb. For mains, I think two of the party made poor choices and simply didn’t like the taste of the dishes they were served and of course, this is not the fault of the restaurant, as other individuals might have been blown away by the very same dishes. I would therefore say, despite some disappointment, it really is worth a try and we will probably return to try some other main course dishes will hopefully match those starters

Went as a group of 6 Service was swift Food was delicious Great that Janet made the time to talk to us as she was obviously busy We went to Pad at the Celtic Manor the day before and that was great but Janet’s was better!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Beautiful food, all cooked very fresh and exquisitely tasty. Honestly the best Asian food I have ever eaten. Great service, the waitress was brilliant, informative and friendly. Such a wonderful eating experience, 5 stars all the way. I Highly recommend this place. Thank you janets for a beautiful meal tonight.

I was looking forward to going to Janet's for months as it's rare to find an authentic, sit-in Chinese restaurant in the local area. I was surprised to find the menu was more pan-Asian than solely Chinese but I definitely appreciated the variety and the fact that there were several Northern Chinese dishes to try. The restaurant opened promptly at 12 and we were seated straight away. The restaurant is small and cosy, nicely decorated, and the tables are quite well spaced. Service was prompt and couldn't be faulted. The food came out quickly so we could enjoy all the dishes together. You do need to order rice separately to some of the mains, but the portion size of the cumin lamb was good by itself. My favourite dishes were the steamed beef dumplings which contained large pieces of beef and come with a spicy soy dipping sauce, and the scallion pancake. We also got pork and kimchi gyoza and a prawn curry. Everything was perfectly cooked and very flavourful. We also tried the apple soju and the dessert special, which was a nice surprise- this was a pandan roll cake with salted caramel ice cream and it was delicious. While the prices are reflective of the quality of the ingredients, we didn't feel the bill was excessive- around £90 for two people, which is less than I've paid at other Asian restaurants with smaller portions and worse quality. The restaurant got busier during the lunch service but never felt cramped or noisy and it was overall a lovely experience. When we left, Janet came out of the kitchen to wave goodbye to us. This is a wonderful local restaurant for anyone who enjoys Chinese, Korean and pan-Asian food in a cosy setting.

Lovely food but terrible attitude and was approached by Jan in relation to the deposit which was taken off us despite turning up!

The food was excellent,very busy and lively. Couldn't fault the service and we were attended to very quickly. The only point I would make is that you have to be prepared to receive your starter after your main meal.
