Excellent food and service by professional owner chef.
Nice little restaurant would recommend to anyone who likes good sea food dishes. They don’t have a children’s menu but they had no problem creating two dishes to suit my children, would definitely go back.
The food was fresh, nicely prepared and delicious to eat. We meet the owner/chef and seems to be a lovely fellow. Overall, excellent experience.
Goodness me, how amazing. I'm loathe to recommend it in case I can't get a table again!
Nice to find a restaurant that is so dedicated to good food, especially seafood. The staff are very helpful and the food exceptional. It is a small place with a small number of tables so booking was essential. Hard to believe that the food was prepared fresh by one chef. This was the best find of the weekend and helped make the break so good.
Superb little restaurant, fantastic food the menu is full of great dishes particularly seafood.
We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners at Jaspers. Interesting food beautifully cooked and presented. Very warm atmosphere.
Uncomfortable hard wood chairs detracts from the overall pleasure of the standard of the meal
Excellent service, fantastic food.
The best place to eat in Amble.
We loved this place.
A really nice restaurant with good food and great service
An absolutely fabulous meal. We’ve booked to go back!
Amazing flavours, freshly cooked. The best meal we’ve ever eaten..
The food was top quality, and reasonably priced (that doesn't mean cheap). The restaurant is small, but not cramped, and we had a very nice evening. Service was very friendly, but a little amateurish - we had to remind the waitress to bring the wine with our main course, and also to replace the glasses which we had our aperitifs in. This took some time so we had no wine for the first part of the meal. All in all though I cam recommend Jasper's.
We had a lovely meal at this delightful little restaurant. Beautifully fresh fish, well-cooked and lovely presentation. Great attention to destailvand great service. Highly recommended.
Lovely little bistro with a friendly helpful owner/chef and staff. We were accommodated with two starters each instead of a main.
The antipasti board was large and tasty. The scallops with belly pork and black pudding were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Chicken livers were also excellent, set off nicely by the stewed plum.
We were disappointed that some items were missing from the menu, particularly the nougatine. The Elton mess was a delight the bonaffi pie less so and not in keeping with the other dishes. Biscuit crumb, half a sliced banana with a spoonful of caramel and whipped cream was unimaginative and not worth £6. It was from the set menu which may explain it.
In spite of this we had a lovely evening. I am so glad we booked as at least 7 tables were turned away. I have recommended jaspers to my friends.
The surf and turf looked fab as did all the seafood
The food, staff and restaurant was exceptional. The choice of food was small but a good selection of daily specials made the choice easy. The staff knowledgeable about the menu.
100% worth the visit. Food was the best we have had.
Great Sunday lunch with an extensive menu of other items.
Will be returning soon.
