Nice restaurant although it was almost empty, nice atmosphere/ enjoyed the live music, nice food, waiters didn’t really seem to know much in terms of the food and drink on the menu. They were not very helpful in terms of recommending food or understanding drinks. As a result the wrong drink was bought to the table and my lamb was cooked rare, instead of well done as requested. Overall good evening.
The live music was great. The food was average. The ratatouille was not great and the cheesecake was hot (???). If they improve food I’d give them a second chance.
I recently went here with some colleagues for a business lunch:
- nice atmosphere, wasn't too busy at lunchtime
- quite a trendy type of place (they had a DJ stand and a bar)
- service was good overall; a little slow at times but overall friendly
- whilst the food was very reasonably priced, the drinks made up for it!
- choice of a set menu or a la carte for lunch.
Overall quite a nice place. The food was average (nothing special) but it was fine for a simple lunch and a few drinks.
Fantastic little find. Good food and a good ambience however lacking in good table
Service. Waitress almost seemed grumpy we were there and tutting when I took my time looking at the menu, making me and my guest uncomfortable. A real shame considering the restaurant itself is quirky and very lovely.
Good food and good service - would recommend definitely
Good food and exelent service. The sea bass was fresh.
Great atmosphere.. Paolo and Giulia were amazing performers. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. We both loved the evening.
Horrible food, horrible service.. decent live music ..
We did enjoyed your food and the delivery was fantastic and excellent.
Delicious food with generous portion. Nice service too!
Beautiful restaurant with outstanding food and service, just at a 1 min walk from the South Quay DLR station. We went there as a group of 5 to celebrate a special occasion, and everything was absolutely excellent: the place had views to the docklands' waterfront, the service was friendly and attentive, and most importantly, the food: really yummy Mediterranean cuisine with the chef's original twist. It was excellent, and would definitely come back.
The live music was nice, but the food was awful - tasted like it was really bad ingredients that wasnt fresh and poorly made.
Food quality was ok but not great. Nice little place but a bit clinical. A bit underwhelmed which is a shame.
Went to Jazzgir for a business lunch on a Friday.
Service good throughout and the set menu was good value. My chicken burger was too dry, but otherwise meal was good.
Very good service and excellent staff. Good ambience. Highly recommended.
We came here for a date night; we live close by so always wanted to visit - saw a seemingly amazing OpenTable deal of 50% off starter and main so we booked.
However, we felt a bit cheated when we were told that the 50% off doesn't apply to the Signature Dishes - this should have been stated clearly, upfront, in the terms. We were really looking forward to trying e.g. the rib-eye, scallop, etc., before being told they were not part of the deal and would have required supplementary charges. It is a bit of a petty way to attract customers with a dangling fruit and then denying them of it. That pretty much ruined it.
The food we ended up ordering - (1) calamari - quite bitter; (2) zucchini fritters - mushy and soggy, not sure how this could have qualified as a 'fritter'; (3) beef cheeks - OK, tender; (4) butterfly chicken - best dish of the meal.
Would have given this 2*, but the service was good and attentive, and the deco and ambience was awesome so 3* overall.
Came across this restaurant whilst last minute searching for somewhere to eat on opentable in the area we were in.
Had 50% off mains and availability so we gave it a go.
It was near water although we sat inside.
Lovely ambience with great service from our waiter.
Food good value with 50% offer , otherwise bit pricey
A nice little find
Great live jazz! Food was actually quite good with a decent variety of fun and interesting dishes. Service was nice but a little forgetful. It’s out of the way location meant that it was generally quiet about a third full but the most awkward thing was that most people there didn’t seem to enjoy nor care about the great live jazz. They were transactional and most couldn’t be bothered clapping which is rather disrespectful to the great performers. This place has a lot of potential it just needs more appreciative customers to increase the atmosphere and ambience.
It been a long time since l have visited a good place to eat like this which is value for money and superb service. l would definitely go back again and recommend.
Lovely restaurant; great decor and although it was very quite (we were the only ones eating at 6pm!), the service was excellent, great waiter who was attentive and lovely food! Highly recommended.
Food service was very slow we never got to eat our dessert never got it after waiting 45 mins terrible service
Really good restaurant - some innovative ways of delivering great tasting food
I would recommend
Jazzgir is just great. We loved everything about this restaurant. Great ambience, great menu, terrific staff.
Thank you for having us, we look forward to our next visit.
Lots of love Hannah x
Perfect for any occasion, after work drinks, romantic dinner, family meal and affordable.
For such a prestige looking restaurant I was delighted when the meal was under £80.
Excellent service, exquisite food & entertainment.

By far the best restaurant in Canary Wharf, for entertainment, good food and amazing cocktails.
My husband and I came for dinner and were not disappointed, the staff couldn't do enough for us, the food was just perfect and live music too.
Will definitely come back very soon,
Thanks again for a wonderful evening.
Outstanding restaurant, our dinner was absolutely delicious, the staff were so helpful and attentive. This hidden gem in South Quay is fantastic for any occasion - Highly recommend!
What a find!
After trying to find a new restaurant I found this little gem tucked away in South Quay. Great food & drink coupled with fantasic service! The food was nothing like ive ever seen before! Especially the 'Jazzgir Cuban Cigar'. A definite must do when visiting Canary Wharf.
What a gem! The Lobster Ravioli is exquisite! Bar is not bad either! Coupled with the scenic views we had a fantastic evening.
Went there with a friend and had a great evening. The music in addition to the genius of the food really made our evening!
Fantastic service; lovely for fine dining; great music and setting; Will come back.
So many restaurants in London to choose from and then this gem tuns up our doorstep! This is a very, very good new restaurant and something different. Such a good ambience (live music that's smooth and not too obtrusive), excellent service, very good food and cocktails...
We went on Saturday evening and were worried that it might be too quiet, however the place was a perfect level of busy.
Finally, if you're looking for a purely foodie experience you might be able to pick some small holes in the menu (the 'truffle hunting' felt like style over substance) or find it limited, but it doesn't outweigh the overall experience. Go here if you want to have an evening of jazz, cocktails and good food with your friends.
The restaurant didn't feel like a bar or restaurant. Food was a bit oversized for the potion size. Singer was great, but the music that was played in between the sets was not fitting to the rest of the evening's vibe. Overall I left not really wanting to go back for food or music. Not sure if I will return again.
Very good overall. One negative, the menu is not descriptive for some of the dishes, therefore, what I ordered was not what I expected to see.
Two of us shared 5 "plates and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient and the entertainment was quality
Great night out. Still some teething problems with food delivery but if they sort this out then they will stay busy
Tiniest portions. The menu was extremely misleading - no clue what is a main course and what is a starter. You've got to be kidding. We had 4 plates of 'seafood' and all of these were in minuscule portions. The sad part of giving such tiny bite sized portions is that one is unable to even savor the taste. Not recommended at all. Also the place is very small with lack of space to walk.
We had a wonderful time at Jazzgir celebrating with friends. We were so well taken care of by the staff and management with excellent service, great food, and amazing jazz music by the delightful London Belles. We loved it so much that we went back again a week later to do it all again. It's a gem of place!
I usually go to places that have live music but this venue was unlike the rest! The full package! Classy, great service and incredible food!
