Jikoni's menu is guided by Chef Patron and award-wining food writer Ravinder Bhogal, who’s delicate hand with flavours and global mixed-heritage cooking can be seen in the dishes. Around half of the menu is vegetarian and much of Jikoni’s produce, wines and even teas are sourced from artisan and sustainable family producers.
The restaurant is a culinary gem for foodies and frequented by off-duty chefs, restaurant types, and locals. Jikoni is nestled into the heart of London’s Marylebone neighbourhood, just a 5 minute walk from both Selfridges and Baker Street.

This is my favorite place for a casual meal with friends and works really well for a business meal as well!
The food is delicious and service wonderful and genuine.
I heard about this place on a podcast by Jay Rayner and just had to try it out, as it sounded amazing. It did not disappoint! Every dish was delicious and full of flavour, but with a real lightness of touch about it. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.
Interesting food served best by sharing among friends when the food is ready. The restaurant added a few extra dishes at no cost, which was an extra treat. All 5 of us enjoyed the evening and will come back. Thanks for a great evening.
I really can’t recommend this place any more. I mean this in a positive way. The food is first class, very warming staff and the vibe was just right.
This was fantastic food - Indian but with a modern, fusion twist, not as you would find in some restaurants where they are simply mixing more exotic blends of spices, but in a much more creative, open style, blending in influences from East Africa, from Japan and from Europe to create really delightful, pleasantly refreshing dishes which, for example, combined sweet and sour, or nuts, popcorn and dressings in really satisfying ways. We found the service was exemplary - warm, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The wine list was great. We stayed far longer than we had intended simply because it was so enjoyable.
Lovely place with Delicious food and great service!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Excellent and interesting selection of food and really good service. Limited menu but would recommend this restaurant.
A really lovely evening at Jikoni. The food is interesting and very delicious with Asian and Middle Eastern influences. Some particularly good vegetarian dishes. Generous portions, great for sharing. Charming and helpful service and a buzzing, but relaxing atmosphere. Look forward to our next visit.
Absolutely outstanding little place in Marylebone. Would recommend going for a cocktail as there are loads nearby. Unusual mix of flavours that work so well and make you wanting more. We are already booked to come back. X
The food was delicious, beautiful decor and very helpful staff. Unfortunately delays from kitchen, but the staff were very helpful and apologetic and more than made up for it. Would eat there again!
Delicious food and excellent service. Would definitely go back and recommended to friends.
Gorgeous food & lovely attentive service!
One of my favourite restaurants in London; unique and delicious menu changing with the seasons. All amazing but desserts are truly sensational!
Great food and atmosphere... both my friend and I had a really enjoyable meal. Fab wine selection and espresso martinis were bonus.
Faultless experience. Cannot recommend Jikoni highly enough!
Lovely setting, the decor has just the right amount of whimsy, feeling comfortable and relaxed but with a refinement that keeps it from being kitsch. The food was brilliantly put together, modern twists majoring on balanced spices that weren’t fussy but made the food unique. However, the service was particularly poor, 45 minutes from ordering to receiving drinks and lacklustre interactions - no smile or warmness. Whether this was just a bad day or the norm, it really let down a restaurant that had nearly everything else going for it.
Delicious food and great place for a relaxed brunch with the family. We ordered the okra fries, fenugreek waffles and spicy fish cakes. And the desserts are not to be missed. The pina colada pancakes and banana cake were delicious. The portions could’ve been slight larger especially the scotch egg. The staff was also lovely and friendly. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to all.
Beautiful food, fabulous ambience and attentive staff.
The food and ambience was amazing. A little pricey but worth every penny for a tasty meal or special get together with friends or a loved one.
Absolutely delightful. Pleasure to revisit, every time.
Despite the hype - the food was rather a let down. Having selected the restaurant after Jay Rayner”s glowing testimonial the food was rather insipid.
As a general comment it lacked seasoning and real taste characteristics, so apart from the incredible deserts it was rather forgettable
Great tasting food!
Really enjoyable. Food was excellent, with the exception of the okra fries - too much batter, tasted of the fryer rather than the vegetable - but otherwise very good. Service personable and attentive. Would go back without hesitation.
Food was delicious. Hit by the aromas as soon as you walk through the door. Loved it!
Tiny, overpriced portions with nothing distinguishing about the food. A big let down.
One of my favorite places to take people- a hidden gem that never fails to impress. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
You wont taste food like this anywhere else in London !
Dinner at Jikoni was perhaps our favorite meal of all during a weeklong visit to London. Every dish was exquisitely constructed with new, interesting combinations of flavors that complemented each other beautifully. We were admittedly skeptical of concoctions like the prawn Scotch egg, banana ketchup, and miso butterscotch -- but wow, every creation was delectable. I wish I had three stomachs so I could have tried everything in one night. Jikoni is a delicious experience reflecting culinary diversity unique to London. Truly outstanding!!!
Amazing food - great cocktails - the scotch egg with banana ketchup was one of the best things I’ve had. Beautiful charming decor.
Delicious, creative Indian style food. Loved that the menu was interesting and different; we liked the sound of every single dish listed! Next time I will go in a group so I can try more food. Also welcomed a well thought out list of non alcoholic drink options. (The wine by the glass was a wide selection too) Excellent value, especially for central London. Highly recommend.
We sat in the corner by the bar on the top floor so it was nice and quiet there.
The food was excellent.
We shared a bunch of dishes between the 3 of us as we were still quite full from a late lunch that day.
The cocktails (Machungwa & Chilli Martini was my favourite with nice orange cointreau and chilli infused gin) and wine list was excellent too.
For starters, we had tenderstem broccoli, cauliflower popcorn (great dish), chicken satay. For the main, we had Butternut Squash Khichdee (great dish), Pressed Cornish Lamb and a side of Okra fries (excellent).
The service was excellent too.
It was my second visit there and will return soon.
I really love this place. Been a few times and always have delicious and sometimes surprising food - combinations I’ve never tried before. Tried a few cocktails for the first time on this visit and they were delicious too. Will be back!
The meal the service everything was amazing
Delicious food, great recommendations on what the waiter liked. Good and unusual cocktails. Loved the Indian, Middle Eastern and East Asian fusion.
Great location and food
The menu is very limited. For a chef who has a cook book with over 200 recipes, none of them feature on the menu. It is not a good start when the waiter apologises for the size of the dish as he did repeatedly for the bar snacks. The small plate was marginally bigger but very spicy for bhel. A screw top rose pruced at £35 seems OTT to. We had the prawns, lamb and trout for mains and a family of 4 would struglle to eat different dishes. The prawns are the signature dish which was excellent. I will mention Claudio who was very attentive with the right attitude but even for him I would not return.
Inventive, tasty (but not over-spicy) food. Kind and savvy service
The food was absolutely delicious - our waiter kindly surprised us with a dessert to share as we couldn’t decide, a decadent banana cake with peanut praline, salted caramel sauce and ovaltine ice cream 👌🏻. Lovely surroundings, beautifully decorated. Would visit again
My third time to this charming, warm, innovative and delicious restaurant. It is good for groups and for tables of two. I am in love with the menu and it’s fresh take on asian flavors. Will be back again for sure.
