Uninspiring with menu that promises much but does not deliver the authentic flavor.
Unfortunately while the food was interesting, location great and atmosphere was nice, the service was terrible. It was slow, orders were mixed up, incorrect food was delivered, drinks were slow to arrive and finally they got the bill wrong and tried to triple charge us. It really ruined what should have been a nice place.
My friends and i had a great time at this restaurant. We had amazing food and were not rushed. Great value.
Excellent spot; contemporary and creative dishes. Well worth a visit!
Lovely service. Nathan was very friendly and helpful.
Ambience was nice. Tables are a bit uncomfortable to sit at for a long period.
Unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down. Under seasoned and no wow factor.
A place to try out but I don’t think I will visit again. There are better options out there.
Summary: confused menu and slightly boring food.
We came here a year ago and remember it being very tasty.
Went last week and the menu had changed - we ordered similar things - but it really lacked flavour.
It seems like the influences for the menu are mix of Indian and Middle-Eastern, which sounds good on paper, but doesn't really work very well here.
I wouldn't go back.
Delightful, innovative Indian cuisine. We would recommend as well as go there again.
Great imaginative menu friendly service. Helpful advice on meal choice. Highly recommended.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. I love the decor too. The food is out of this world with such interesting and wonderful flavours. My favourite dish was out and they made a special adjustment to give me something similar. The owner was there and she is so lovely greeting the tables without being intrusive. I will be back
We had lunch here the other day, food was amazing, very different flavours, nice atmosphere. Will definitely return
Absolutely love it. Definitely gonna bring friends to here.
Food was completely confused and nothing would make me go back. Scotch egg was the only thing that was OK.
Fantastic food, great service, good value. We loved it and wait to go back.
By far one of the best restaurants in London. An absolutely hidden gem and should definitely be visited by any foodies!
We had a fantastic dinner, really amazing food with some unique signature dishes, excellent service, good drinks. highly recommended!
Quirky place with interesting decor. Enjoyed the food especially the prawn toast scotch egg & paan madeleines. We went for lunch and found it to be quite on the pricey side, 1 starter, 1 small plate, 1 main and 2 sides with a beer and water for £57.
Great food. Second time and both times food was really quite special. Staff super nice. One gripe and one suggestion. First the gripe - two of us, ordered few starters and couple mains to share. Food came as ready but really the whole lot came very very fast, and we had to ask mains to be taken back whilst we finished what was on the tiny table. Suggested they move us to a bigger table if they want to leave all the food and was told no. Otherwise very nice. Suggestion - perhaps add a few more wines to the list, very very limited selection. Not suggesting turning it into a an extensive list but perhaps add a few more options - some from popular regions would be nice, such as the Rhone valley! Will go again but be very clear when ordering to bring the dishes with some gap in between to allow time to chew. Keep up the great cooking.
We were so well looked after by the staff and the food was unusual and delicious!!
My friends and I came here for brunch and the food was great. I would recommend that if you're feeling exceptionally hungry you add some sides to your order too (they're definitely worth it!). Really nice ambience and the staff are super friendly. It's a nice place which is on a quieter road so a nice hidden gem to escape some of the hustle and bustle of Bond and Bakers Street.
The food at Jikori is completely unique and a wonderful experience for my tastebuds. Service was excellent. The ambience is casual and tasteful with artistic touches.
A great meal, lots of different and unusual flavours. Only downside was acoustic - table of nearby shrieking ladies tended to drown our conversation.
Lovely food and decor, friendly staff. Go there and see. Recommend the scotch eggs.
Pleasant place, decent service however food was not that great and lacked full punch lacking true flavours that restuarants boasts off. Won't be bringing my family or friends as they will be truly brutal with their reviews on the food.
I eat out a look but I found the food lacking some basic ingredients like salt\ pepper and a bit of spice. The wine is ok but nothing special. The whole concept is missing something and will not be going there again
A really different and enticing selection of choices, even on their TDH menu. Definitely want to go back when I have more time.
Nice food - really tasty and unusual - turns out quite pricey though - £70 per head - and we didn't splash out on wine or mains...
Amazing as always! Every time we bring friends to this restaurant they too fall in love with its food and atmosphere!
Excellent, always good and new menu is even got some gems.
What a fabulous little gem! Really eclectic and varied menu with every dish being a total surprise (in the greatest way possible)
We loved the beetroot croquettes and the miso butterscotch banana cake is heaven on a plate!!
Great decor & delicious food. Maybe not the best choice for a business meal but we all enjoyed it
Weekday lunchtime visit and we had a relaxed time enjoying the kind of food we enjoy eating - visually appealing, textural and taste contrasts with plenty of vegetarian choices. We'll be back.
It came highly recommended for around Paddington. A really cute, little gem of a place. It ended up being three of us on a Tuesday evening. The service was very hospitable and discreet but not at all helpful with food and wine recommendations, and both the menu and wine list are pretty short. So, non the wiser, but still excited about the menu, we ordered all bars snacks, quail Scotch eggs, croquettes and small plates. The food was fresh and vivid to the eye, a great selection of vegetarian starters and small plates, looking colourful and inspired. The flavours, however, were very tame and expected, seasoning generally very moderate with no highlights to speak of. If you close your eyes and try to unimaginatively conjure a mix between Indian and mediterranean cuisines that would pretty much sum it up. The French Malbec, inky and fruity, and on a lighter side, which suited the the dishes as well as matched their general lack of specialness. A high point was fried courgette flower with crab meat and coriander sauce. The lowest point, a hunk of roasted broccoli with a mildly spiced oily vinaigrette. I am almost certain the mains would have been a lot more thrilling to the palate but we got seduced by the sound of all the small plates, which I think was a mistake. I think the waiter got confused by our suggestion to order the whole top half of the menu and couldn't quite resist charging £160 for a bunch of starters. Having just typed all that, I have to say my clients were extremely impressed with every aspect of the evening and were talking of coming back next time they visit London.
No flavour at all in the food. Extremely bland. Not sure why the prices are so high. Service was good. This place is for people who cannot even take the slightest hint of spice. Everything tasted like water. Absolute waste of £100.
Great food and service as usual.
We had an amazing time at Jikoni! We found this little gem through Instagram and made in must visit on our trip to London. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is to die for! This is a must visit for anyone in London and we will sure be returning!
ravinder bhogal has done a great job with this restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy, the food a nice twist on asian fare and the signature cocktails great. Recommend it for brunch, lunch and dinner.
A lovely find. Fresh and interesting ingredients, paired inventively.
Charming , relaxed restaurant with delicious, original. Indian inspired food . We loved whole poussin and lobster dishes . Cannot wait to return .
Every morsel excited and delighted my tastebuds. Sensational cocktails too. Friendly, really welcoming and unpretentious yet oozing casual glamour. I plan to return. Lots.
Our table of six enjoyed a delicious meal at Jikoni. We all appreciated the variety of dishes available. The food was creative, but not over the top, and full of flavour. Service was excellent - friendly and attentive (but not in an overbearing way). Loved the chickpea chips and chicken skewers. The banana cake was amazing!
