Service was agonizingly slow. Food was good but portions were small for the cost. Cocktails were good.
The oysters were very good.
The lobster tortellini was delicious. The chicken roulade, however, was dry.
We ordered a second round of drinks and, for whatever reason, it took about 20 minutes for them to come. Overall our dining experience was good.
Expected more. Over priced menu for the portions you are served. Drinks were great. Staff seemed lost. Dirty... windows were dirty with spots.. fixtures dusty. Not worth returning.
Boring and overpriced. Level of service can be summed up by a person coming over to pour water after being seated without saying a word.
Great food and service. Was nice and quiet so you could have a conversation
We used to love going here but the last two times have had us wondering if we will return. This is a gem in Morristown but the menu choices are limited compared to the old one and the food taste wasn’t great. Please bring back the old menus and great food. (The Service is great and the wine choices doesn’t disappoint-but the food is seriously lacking)
Everything was delicious. Save room for sorbet!
amazing valentine’s day menu and live band. great date night spot and would love to definitely come again!
Incredibly awful experience from the moment we arrived with a valet lot that was full (restaurant empty) to every single dish coming out wrong. And what did come out tasted awful. At least they acknowledged this and slashed the bill. Never going back.
prix fix dinner - you would think they could get them right. Food was tough, served cold and priced high. Horrible combination
Valentine’s Day was pre-fixe menu. They didn’t let people know it was only pre-fixe. $85 per person not a good value. Plus the first course was either octopus or steak tartare. Very limited options. Just not worth it.
One of, if not the best restaurant in Morristown
Perfect location and atmosphere for a girls' night after a show. The food was way beyond expectations (and I went in wanting 7+ items from previewing the menu) , drinks were tasty, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
I should have received 1,000 points for this visit (however looks like I only received 100). Can someone please call me to follow up - 917-945-6056.
Thank you very much!!!
Had brunch in the oyster bar. The brunch was not near worth the price. Food was not hot enough, the selection was just okay. The servers seemed to keep forgetting we were there. In years past all of this was completely different - it was WORTH the cost. Not any more :(
I used to love going here but they have switched to a brunch buffet which was very average; please bring back the a la carte!! Cocktails were still good and service good too
Arrived 10 minutes early and were rushed to the table.
Dirty plates and glasses.
The wine isn’t poured at the table.
Horrible experience for the price.
I entertain for a living, eating out 2-3 nights a week in NYC for the last 20 years and this was easily the worst experience I have had in this time. You would have thought the sommelier was working at a Thomas Keller restaurant given his attitude. This place wouldn’t last a week in NYC, be thankful it exists in NJ where competition is stifled.
Buffet format on Sunday doesn’t work.
I miss the a la cart menu.
Omelet station needs to be reviewed; very poor.
Jockey Hollow is always wonderful so I was a bit disappointed in the Brunch. Some of the warm food was cold and the idea that people should take cutlery facing outward (so you had to grab by the tines) during cold and flu season seemed a little unsanitary at best. Why not just do a normal table setting? The wait staff is all there and is amazing. The price was excellent and the prosecco lovely but somehow I expected more from such an superlative kitchen. I will try brunch again at some point and hope for an improved experience.
Had reservations for 4 people. 1 person in the party was late. They seated the 3 people present but wouldn’t let them order any food. Placed a drink order and waited over 30 minutes to get drinks. By this time, the late party had arrived and we had a new waiter. Never received bread or given any thing comped. The dinner bill was over $300. Unfortunate because had only good experiences previously. What type of restaurant won’t let their patrons order any food after they are seated?
We had a bottle of sparkling water spill at our table during dinner (because of an uneven table), and my entree was ruined before I had finished it. We pointed it out to the server when she came over to check on how our meal was, and she said, "Oh, I'm sorry to see that happened.", and did NOTHING else. No offer to bring out another entree (or even a partial entree, as I had eaten a fair amount already), or to make it right in any way, shape or form. It will be a LONG time before I step foot in Jockey Hollow again.
Lovely experience as always! Oysters are delicious and the wine suggestions were perfect. Would be back again.
Had dinner on Sunday evening in the Oyster bar. Started out with drinks before dinner at the Vail bar, had champagne cocktails. There was a large selections of drinks with exotic mixtures. I enjoyed my drink but my wife did not. The dinner venue was quiet for there were only several tables occupied. Our waitress was wonderful, she was familiar with all of the dishes, answered all of our questions and helped with our drinks. Had Maine oysters for appetizers and they were excellent. Ordered bread and it was a very good selection, we enjoyed it. I ordered the pork shank special and my wife ordered the smoked fettuccine venison bolognesse which was not smok
Perhaps it was a “off” night because I’ve had excellent meals here in the past. This meal was surprisingly bad. Based on past experiences, I’d be willing to try again though.
When we arrived at Jockey Hollow, we were seated immediately. Valet parking a plus, especially since the town was crowded. Atmosphere is very nice.
Food as good, not great. Scallops were very good but short rib agnolotti was dry. Berkshire pork was recommended medium rare, asked for medium and got medium well which made it chewy. S’mores dessert was made with a twist but missed the mark. Service was excellent.
Probably will try one of the other restaurants in Morristown next time in town.
Always outstanding! We’ve been here many times. The food is always excellent. The service is always excellent. The vibe is warm and fun. Whenever we go, it’s always a great night.
Birthday celebration. It was ok
Birthday for dear friend. Staff were amazing - every single one wished her happy birthday !
Very unimpressive sadly.
Exceptional Service. Food is Okay but our selection was limited due to the New Year Menu. Nice place. Would recommend it and will give them another try.
We really enjoyed ourselves...beautiful setting, very good food, great service. We’ll be back!
Birthday lunch but didn’t realize when I booked on open table that it was a brunch buffet.
Service was outstanding; food was pretty good however the portions are a bit on the small side.
First time to this restaurant. Ambiance and look of the place was pleasing. After that, it went really downhill. Service was deplorable; servers were extremely difficult to understand and appeared to be very inexperienced. Rarely saw same server more than once. Various servers bring dishes out and explain what they are but you never see them again. After dropping vegetable dish on table and then very inadequately wiping it up ( including wiping some of it onto a fur coat), no one seemed to care nor did the restaurant manager. Within five minutes of that, the servers then dropped a glass of liquid from the next table on the floor which went all over our shoes and pants- again, no one really seemed to cared, or was apologetic. Food was okay, but after everything else, we just couldn’t wait to get out of there. Not a place I would recommend to anyone, nor would we return. Very unfriendly and cold attitude from hostess. Not sure why anyone would go to this restaurant.
We went to Jocke Hollow for brunch. The decor was nice, the service was good. But the food was below expectations, we had to let the staff now the chicken sausage was raw, we got charged for water, yes we got charged 3 dollars for tap water. I would only come here for drink, pass on brunch it overpriced and the food is overrated.
Thank you Chris, Andre and the rest of staff. My kids had a wonderful experience!
Food is awesome. Food runners, water, bussers -all great. Waiter/ress not good
Horribly dated food.
Avoid the brunch buffet. We arrived at 11:00, which is when the buffet is starting. Food had been prepared and sitting for some time. French toast was not very good, shrimp and grits was good, bacon and sausage were ok. My made to order omelette was very good. Mini biscuits were bad. Dessert cakes were unremarkable. Mimosas were good and staff were very attentive and cheerful with refills on mimosas and providing clean plates. We had a raw bar order of oysters as shrimp that was excellent.
Great experiente, great food and outstanding service!
