Jolene is a bakery, cafe & restaurant which uses unaltered grains from pasture cropping soil which uses no pesticides, no herbicides, no tilling, no ploughing and using horse drawn machinery only. We get the grains, we mill them onsite into flours which we use for our dishes, pastries and breads.

unfortunatly we left feeling very hungry and considerably poorer! staff were very nice and the place is very nicely designed. but very expensive for small amount of very nice rustic food. not sure rustic should be so small!

The pasta. garlic bread, croquettas, Coppa and hake were all delicious but unfortunately the lamb was tough and lacking flavour.
It’s a lovely, local restaurant though and we will be back.

The food and service was quite good, but the noise was unmanageably loud and the table very small. Not suitable for an intimate date night

Just loved it. It’s such a simple, genuine, warming place. Food and service were excellent. And I have had the best Bloody Mary ever.

The food and service was excellent, but it was incredibly loud (difficult to hold a conversation) - the place would be almost perfect if they put in some noise absorbers!

No gluten free options at all, and moved off the table after 1 hour for another booking - even though we booked - felt very rushed

Great quality neighbourhood restaurant with a lovely ambience, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. Short enough menu to not overwhelm with choices, but plenty of variety in terms of size of dish and ingredients. Interestingly different wine list compliments the food.

Delightful service it made the experience 5 stars. Weekend is super busy so I recommend booking. Even though every table was full the service was superb and the food out fast. The quiche was one of the best I have had, the creamy texture and flavour OMG.

A wonderful mix of traditional and slightly more adventurous dishes made to share and all totally delicious. Go with a group so you can order across the many and try as many dishes as you can. Ambience was warm and inviting. Staff were fabulously helpful.

Our dinner at Jolene was superb! The atmosphere was beautiful as well as the service during the whole meal. Food was simply incredible - great quality and good value for what it was. They also have a good selection of natural wines. Would definitely recommend!

Completely in love with this place - everything was spot on.
Sat at the counter which I thought was going to be a lesser spot but it was just as great.
Ambience was cosy, chilled - equally as good for date night or chatty group meal.
Loved the low lighting/candle lit interior.
Food was delicious (salami, pickled anchovies, spinach/cream tagliatelle, rhubarb pastry) and good portions - especially the sharing plate (pork belly) - huge!
Great selection of drinks - house vermouth is a must.
Staff were friendly and relaxed yet attentive - felt like they genuinely enjoyed working there which makes me feel very welcome.
Will be back again and again.

Wonderful dinner - menu format was really good, somewhere between sharing and small plates. Cooking had a lightess of touch and simplicity - every dish was really well constructed and the format meant we could try a number of things. Serive was welcomign and friendly. We travelled 200+ miles to eat here, it was worth it.

2nd visit in 2 weeks, 3rd planned for next week. The food is superb, every dish a winner. So pleased to have this as our local neighbourhood restaurant, but would recommend travelling to if it’s not so local for you.
5 stars from me!

Incredible food, non intrusive and knowledgable staff, and (again) incredible food.

The only real problem is the cramming in of customers to tables. We were sitting in a table for two in the front by the window and there were a couple one side merely inches away, and a table for three on the other side, whose patron was pretty much sitting in the lap of my companion.

This severely impeded the overall relaxation level and created an almost unbearable noise level alas.

Would absolutely recommend and come again but would specifically ask to be sat in a different area.

Thanks a lot TS

Love the food at Jolene especially the pasta dishes but would really like a non organic sparkling option on the wine list as the current offering is pretty far removed from what Prosecco/champagne tastes like and is very much an acquired taste!

I look forward to going back soon -- I was flying solo so I missed out on trying any of the amazing looking/sounding sharer plates. But the pasta was to die for, I could have eaten the tagliatelle with walnut sauce all night.

Had such a great evening here. Service was a little slow at times as they were busy but was fab when it came. Great food-carefully and well-cooked in generous portions. And a great natural wine list. And, as we were last to leave, we were offered the last two loaves of fruit bread on the shelf to take home. Capped off the evening very well indeed!

This place is ok for a casual lunch but I didn’t particularly care for my cheese toastie. It was very rich indeed and mustardy with gherkins. My friend enjoyed the quiche.
The juices were excellent.

Delicious but pricey food, well cooked and presented. Who said ‘sharing plates’ are over? Service nicely attentive but not intrusive. Seems like Jolene is here to stay in this venue that’s seen a high turn over of restaurants and cafes in recent years which is good.
