Had a really fantastic evening at Jolene, food was superb as was the service, would highly recommend!
Delish, fresh and interesting Italian food - very cozy and friendly!
Excellent dishes. Curried lentils and egg to die for, the spinach and feta filo tart was also a winner. Gazpacho very more ish. I don’t think this is the kind of place that takes the Micky - the food is genuinely well crafted and considered. Great for lunch, will try supper next!
Originally came because it was my namesake restaurant. But wound up finding it delicious! Pricey but worth it for fresh food. Probably the best I had in London. There is only so much pub food u can eat! The ravioli was out of this world. Every thing covered in cheese is an added bonus!
Absolutely fantastic food and service - only downside was noise level.
Ham and cheese toastie a little pricey but so worth it
My new favorite place in the neighborhood!
Staff were very indifferent. Despite advising them that 3 of our group of 6 were celebrating our birthdays on the day they never even wished us a happy birthday !!
Delicious! Came for brunch, had the eggs, potatoes and jamon. But would have liked toast included as a side, I was hungry about half an hour later. And a larger glass for iced latte would be good. Took some pastries away too and they were excellent. Will be back for dinner, thanks!
Best almond croissant in London!!!! Great service, lovely relaxed vibe and delicious breakfast. Great way to start our weekend.
Excellent food, attentive and helpful service, buzzing atmosphere. A very enjoyable evening.
Such a nice vibe
Great food great atmosphere and amazing wine! Could do with a few more vegetarian options.
Love this grub. Jolene, like it's sister restaurants, is just all round good.
Great vibe and atmosphere, laid back, friendly and stylish. Really great food. My only complaint is that it’s a bit expensive for the size of the plates - £27 for a main course, which they say is for two but not much bigger than a regular main course for one.
Every dish was fantastic, thank you!
It was a bit disappointing that when we arrived at 315 the kitchen closed 15 minutes later and most of the food was gone. We didn't know that was going to be the case and I wonder if they just shouldn't accept bookings that late.
Otherwise delicious and would go again.
Nice place for a light snack in a great location on Newington Green. Service and atmosphere are cozy and cool.
The cheese toastie is a delicious treat full of bechamel (with ham for meat eaters) and pastries and salads are fresh.
A little overhyped in my view ... but nice!
I had a wonderful time on my most recent visit to Jolene. The food was delicious, the service was great. Our waitress was more than happy to explain how to order and was knowledgeable about the menu. We also found Jolene to be very accommodating to a friend with restrictive dietary requirements! Highly recommended!
Great tasting food with a plentiful choice of dishes. Perfect if you like to share with friends.
The atmosphere is great. The food is really good. We tried minestrone soup, ham & cheese toastie, bread & butter and a pain au chocolat and everything was lovely. It’s a everyday place that people need to know.
I love that the menu always changes and they have a bakery section for yummy treats to eat in or takeaway. I do find the plates can be a little on the small side but the food is great.
Delicious but portions very much on the small side.
Wonderful brunch in gorgeous surroundings. The bread was delicious, and the pastries too. Staff were very kind and attentive.
Fantastic lunch and v well priced for sharing plates, coffees, wines and pastry. Came in for my birthday and was great for a relaxed special occasion. Would highly recommend
Great interior, amazing staff, good food but portions are too small!
Great spot with amazing pastries , can u please add some more non egg veggie dishes
I come to Jolene a lot and it always delivers. So wonderful. Although this time we felt the food all came a bit too quickly, it felt a bit like we were being rushed through. Nonetheless, it was all absolutely delicious.
The quality of the food here is amazing as is the wine. This was my third time here but first for dinner. The portion sizes for pasta were comically small. I left hungry after ordering 4 pasta dishes and a half roasted chicken plus bread. This was between 4 people. The spelt in particular was half a ladles worth for £9. A shame for such an amazing restaurant to serve such stingy portions.
All the pasta were amazing
We ate everything
The desserts were amazing
We can’t think of any other words to describe how outstanding
We’ve been a few times to Jolene now but unfortunately each time it’s diminished slightly. It’s quite a squeeze. That’s fine in an informal setting but with the cheapest bottle of white wine now £48 it’s pretty galling to be bumping elbows with your neighbour. The food is ok but again expensive for what you get - particularly the larger dishes. It’s feels like a bit of a shake down now, which they don’t need to do given how popular it is.
Nice chilled spot for brunch or lunch. Fantastic pastries and bread.
I wanted to love Jolene Bakery - have been wanting to try brunch there for ages. I have to say, however, it was good, but only that. Good coffee (awesome cups), and my order was for curried spinach with soft boiled egg and crumbs. And it was only... good. Nowhere near as innovative as the dish might sound. A mound of slightly soggy, bland spinach on a side dish size plate, with an egg on top that was sticky in the middle, closer to hard boiled than soft boiled. Crunchy crumbs brought a note of interest, but not enough to elevate the dish to a standard for which I'd ever re-order it. Toast was spectacular - chewy, dense sourdough bread, and perhaps it's the bakery that makes Jolene, rather than its ladles of runny spinach. Wonderful pastries, great bread, but there it too much excellent local competition to make this a winning brunch venue.
I went for dinner and had a great evening, the atmosphere was great - buzzy but not too loud - and the service was quick. Food was delicious, but the prices are on the high end and I didn’t find they were entirely justified. Overall I would go back for the atmosphere and the food, but maybe next time I’ll try a brunch instead of dinner.
Really great night out for our group. Delicious food and friendly service
unfortunatly we left feeling very hungry and considerably poorer! staff were very nice and the place is very nicely designed. but very expensive for small amount of very nice rustic food. not sure rustic should be so small!
The pasta. garlic bread, croquettas, Coppa and hake were all delicious but unfortunately the lamb was tough and lacking flavour.
It’s a lovely, local restaurant though and we will be back.
The food and service was quite good, but the noise was unmanageably loud and the table very small. Not suitable for an intimate date night
Just loved it. It’s such a simple, genuine, warming place. Food and service were excellent. And I have had the best Bloody Mary ever.
The food and service was excellent, but it was incredibly loud (difficult to hold a conversation) - the place would be almost perfect if they put in some noise absorbers!
