Absolutely loved Jolene. We ordered 5 small plates between 3 of us, then a pasta dish each and a salad to share, followed by 2 puddings. That was the perfect amount. The bread is fantastic (flour is even milled on-site!) and the wine list is full of new finds. Great beer too.
Food was staggeringly average. Ambience really nice.
Wonderful meal! Food was excellent and service was amazing!
Ultimately unexciting food and overpriced. No shockers but nothing really of any excellence which I would expect at that price point
Beautiful restaurant, with great atmosphere. The food was wonderful, and the staff friendly, however I think they were under staffed as the service was very slow, we sat with dirty plates for over half an hour. I love sitting at the bar however we were very cramped, and on this occasion I didn’t know that was where we would be sitting, would be nice to be told first. All in all we felt a bit short changed as it cost over £100 for 2 of us.
Good food and drinks at a reasonable price. The bread is outstanding.
Great atmosphere and warm welcome. While there isn’t loads of choice for vegetarians what they do have is excellent. The house sourdough bread and fresh pasta are fantastic. The overall mood is relaxed and warm, a great neighbourhood restaurant (even if it’s not your neighbourhood, well worth the trip)
My husband and I had a lovely night at Jolene. We sat at the bar, and had a wonderful waiter who made a perfect wine recommendation. He was attentive and friendly. The wine and food was outstanding, particularly the pasta. My only feedback about the visit was that we were sat at the bar — it wasn't unpleasant by any means, but for a romantic date night it was just unexpected (high stools, seated side-by-side). Additionally the restaurant was noisier than expected, again not a criticism but something that surprised me as I thought it was going to be more cosy. Overall though, a great night! Will definitely visit again.
We had a lovely meal at Jolene bakery - the food was good but the desserts were fantastic! Would recommend to others & would go back because menu is always changing.
I had a lovely breakfast here, followed by a stellar pastry. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the pastries and bread beautifully made... I look forward to coming back for dinner in the future.
It was so lovely ...
I brought my friend visiting London for the first time.
She said “the restaurant made her love London”
Food is excellent
Nice selection of Natural wine...
Highly recommended !
Excellent in every way, thank you! Wonderful service, excellent food. Love the thoughtful nature of every aspect. A real joy to eat & visit.
Tasty, well prepared food. Nice to have the sharing options. Lovely staff, nice vibes. Definitely be back.
Great ambience, food and service in a relaxed atmosphere. A Must go
Jolene is probably the most perfect neighbourhood all day eatery I could imagine (and we've gone around five times in the past two months because of it). The portions are small, but allow you to get a few plates of their delicious, classically inclined rustic food that hits the spot every time.
The most perfect retreat with the most comfortable ambiance, beautiful soft but plentiful light, airy yet cosy. Incredible food. Wonderful staff.
Wonderfully laidback atmosphere, great, friendly service and amazing food. A welcome sister restaurant to all the others I loved.
The food and wine were excellent, as always. However, I thought the table turning after just 1 hour 45 was a little harsh (usually you get 2 hours elsewhere) and the tables are incredibly close together so, in the corner where we were sitting, you get jostled regularly by both servers and other guests coming through.
I still really like this place but there’s a danger that it has become a victim of its own success and I can’t help thinking that a table layout which may work fine during the day as a cafe doesn’t work so well on the evenings when the venue operates as a restaurant.
Jolene is an amazingly cozy bakery & restaurant that serves wonderfully executed seasonal food that is updated on a daily basis. The food comes paired with a short but well crafted (natural) wine list that suits all budgets. Service is top-notch, friendly and approachable. Overall, expect an absolutely lovely dining experience from start to finish. I sincerely look forward to going back again soon.
Great atmosphere. Lighting and table layout all really good.
Food was delicious
Great new local and really hoping that this one does well because it has a simple menu that tastes good. Bit difficult to get in on the weekends, so book ahead. I had the jamon, fried eggs and potato - nothing fancy but well executed and tasty. Great ingredients and great vibe. Well done guys.
2nd time for dinner at Jolene and really recommend it. The pasta and spelt dishes are a standout and also means something accessible for kids on the menu.
Loved it. Wasn’t sure about the menu on reading but don’t underestimate what you get. It’s Devine.
Exceptional local restaurant with great food and good service.
I had lunch with a friend here during the week . The service was very good - tables a bit close together, but hey, it's London, however we were disappointed in the food. I had the savoury bread pudding which was bland and no seasoning. It had been described by the waitress as being crispy on top, but mine was entirely soft. My friend is vegetarian and found it difficult to choose from the limited options. She decided on a plate of charred cauliflower with dukkah, which was nice, but it was £7.50 for what was in my opinion a side dish. The pastries looked nice enough , but there weren't any desserts on at lunchtime which I was disappointed about as I was still hungry after the small portion of bread pudding. In fact, the menu was very breakfast based so unless you fancy various combinations of ham and eggs at lunch, the choice was limited. Massive PR campaign mean this restaurant is always being talked about, but it didn't come anywhere near expectations for us.
Jolene occupies a spot that always seems to be changing hands. Whilst not better than some of the other options on the Green it’s certainly one of the cooler by reputation.
Nice restaurant. Good food.
Noise on entering really quite off putting but got more used to it..
Was seated at the bar... would have liked an option or to have been informed beforehand when booking.
Had an absolutely delicious meal here last weekend. Very attentive and easygoing staff. Great wine suggestion; amazing flavours in all dishes; and of course their signature sourdough bread. Couldn't fault it. Plus it's my local. #luckysod.
A great addition to the Primeur and Westerns laundry family of restaurants. Please add a few more 12 noon onwards options
As always... fantastic
Nice location and atmosphere but seriously overpriced. Staff was ok
FLAWLESS! My new favourite place for brunch. Well done to the guys behind this x
The food was very good; seasonal, sourced locally, sharing plates. Very relaxed atmosphere, a well priced local restaurant.
Went to Jolene for the first time over the weekend and both the staff and the food were as expected, great! Visiting their sister restaurant Primeur a few times and it being one of my personal favourites, I was very curious to see what Jolene had to offer. The atmosphere was a laidback and cosy one and both the food and wine were at the level you would expect. The food was more simple than Primeur in ingredients and structure however I would like to highlight that both the homemade pastas (pappardelle
& orecchiette) I had were both superb in their own way. Highly recommend this place and will be back!
Incredible food, great atmosphere, romantic, intimate vibes and good value! I’ve already decided what i’m ordering next time - had serious food envy from nearby tables. A gem. You need to go.
This place feels great and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. It's very kid friendly. The food is excellent, pastries especially, although the portions are edging towards the ungereous. Still, we should all be eating less, right?
Stellar experience as expected from the team behind Primeur and Western’s Laundry. Gorgeous food, notably a huge piece of hake at great value, cooked to perfection. Attentive yet relaxed service in an ambient setting - the lighting is spot on. Thanks to Fanny who looked after us all evening.
Loved this place. Excellent food, great wine and charming service.
Great food with some standout dishes. The house wine is expensive though, and the large glass doors make for a blast of cold air every time someone comes in.
Beautiful food, lovely wine, and fab service. Highly recommended!
