Outstanding service and delicious food. The servers were attentive and appropriately checked in on us while allowing us time to converse. The wine selection is large but not overwhelming. If sport shooting is not your hobby, still give Joshua's a chance.

We were welcomed to the lodge and sat in the beautiful bar area. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The food was absolutely delicious and so carefully put together. The whole experience was really special and we will definitely be going back.

The food was of superb quality and beautifully presented. We would say that its quality was up there with Heston Blumenthal and the Roux brothers, both of which we have experience. The service was also excellent. You need to be aware that the menu is small - a choice of just 3 items per course. But if that is not a problem for you then we highly recommend

A fabulous meal out at the Shooting Grounds. It's an extraordinary place, with the ambience of an exclusive country club. Staff were welcoming and the service was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb. Excellent quality beautifully presented. It's pricey - definitely one for a special lunch but worth it for the food and the experience.

Great fresco lunch with magnificent view and very warm welcome. Menu a little disappointing for a foodie by being a little blend and not enough surprising. Suckling pig a little too dry even with the jus and you need a better knife to cut the crackling. Recommended to start the sparkling English wine which is far better than most champagnes of equivalent prices.

Our third time here and food and service were as excellent as before. We sat outside as the weather was glorious. My turbot with seafood bisque was very fresh and tender and the bisque was very aromatic and not over salt as bisque can sometime be. Husband and daughter thoroughly enjoyed their beef as well. Another great dinning experience in Joshua Hunter!

A real tranquil find amid the daily life of Northwood/Ruislip. The menu that Joshua puts together is absolutely exquisite both in presentation and taste. The staff are delightful and if you are lucky enough to have a sunny day do eat lunch on the terrace. Can’t recommend highly enough.

A group of six of us attended this restaurant on 18th February in the evening. Food and service were exceptional and cannot wait to go back again. Drinks were rather expensive but you are paying for the atmosphere in a well decorated place.

The food was tasty, plentiful and served/presented with care. The IPA was excellent and my wife’s martini was splendid! The ambience was modern and sophisticated. Will come back for lunch at the terrace in future. I will also consider going for breakfast if/when available. Thank you for making our special occasion memorable even though you didn’t know about it!

Lovely restaurant and very classy ambience. Reasonably varied menu - 5 choices per course - mains when we went 1 each veggie, fish, duck, lamb beef. Interesting wine list - most bottles £30-£60. Meal very fair value - well cooked - portions good size. tarte tatin for 2 exemplary and too big at the end of a 3 course meal. Well worth looking up - probably the best restaurant in a 5 mile radius

We had the wine room booked celebrating our 10 yr wedding anniversary! We've been before once with my family and twice for lunch and the team has delivered with great food, ambience and service once more!
