A great restaurant with excellent food , attentive service all in charming surroundings
We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and each matching was perfect
The lamb is to die for and the Kulfi trio finished off the meal beautifully

Fabulous food and service but disappointing that the restaurant was empty except for ourselves and one other table of two throughout our lunch. This restaurant deserves to do better than this. The Malabar prawns and the broccoli were to die for. I understand it is busier in the evenings. I would highly recommend it and hope it survives.

This is a hidden gem in the Chelsea/Sloane Sq area. The ambiance is stylish and the service is faultless. From the menu, go with the prawns (the size of tennis balls), the lamb chops and the butter chicken. They were all exceptional. Without doubt one of the best dining experiences in the west end. Better than Indian Accent and Gymkhana combined.

Excellent Restaurant with their own VEGAN menu which I think we expect by all restaurants by now so we can save the world. 8 people everyone loved their dishes. Winelist could be a bit more extensive though with more known wines.

Lovely food, service and experience for my wife's birthday celebration. We ordered the Dawat tasting menu. Lots of food, but all delicious. The best were the lamb chops (so tender, maybe the best I've ever had), Biryani and the raspberry cheesecake with saffron crumbs.

Would highly recommend.

Still a bit to go to become a place to came back. The service is way too pushy and this creates a not so pleasant experience. The quality of food is good, overall.

Excellent food, excellent service. I cannot say enough good things about the service! All of the starters were excellent; the mains were lovely; deserts very good too. Cocktails were great. Six of us dined; 4 had the three course set menu, one had two a la carte courses and the other (a small child) only had a main. We also had 4 cocktails and 6 soft drinks. The bill was just under £370. I think it is a little pricey. But no complaints at all. We will return.

Best service, great wine and food!!

Friends and I went for dinner based on a recommendation. Our table was for 8:30pm. We got there early, coats where taken in the cloakroom and we were lead downstairs to the bar where we had a cocktails. The guys making them were lovely, gave recommendations, made a great cocktail and humoured our vain photo shoot!!

We decided to go for the set menu with wine pairing, the food was lovely the drinks great. I lost track of how many courses we had. (Don't drink beforehand if you do the wine tasting, you will be crawling out lol.)

The service was fantastic!! Everyone very friendly happy to help, didn't have to wait long for anything!

Would highly recommend!!

The food tasted really good however if you take into account the amount you pay, I was quite disappointed with the service. The waiter was often confused and leaned over people a number of times. I was expecting better food presentation too. Really good ambience though!

A beautiful restaurant with truly outstanding service. As soon as you walk into the space, the fragrant spices are in the air. Set on a few levels, the seating is comfortable and varied. A beautiful private dining room with a partial glass wall overlooks the main dining area. The kitchen is also visible. The food was fantastic and beautifully presented. The four course tasting menu afforded an opportunity to try a wide variety of dishes. The sommelier was absolutely a pleasure as well. Very knowledgeable and very service oriented. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian food, or is a foodie. There is a reason Chef Peter is a Michelin star chef! We can't wait to go back..

Food was excellent, and that was the main reason that I wanted to visit Kahani.
Service was very friendly, but there was some confusion on the menu part.
When I asked how many plates I needed to order, the waitor got a bit confused.
I would have expected the staff to really explain the menu, and the different dishes.
They did not do so, even when we asked twice. I did love the ambiance and the food though, so would still visit Kahani again.

Lunch cost £50 a head, which is on the high side for us, but I much prefer Kahani to other high end Indian restaurants I have visited. Food quality excellent, service likewise. We will come again

Noise rating - not sure if 5 blocks is good or bad, but it is very quiet at lunch time

I went to Kahani with my partner, the idea was to have the set meal, but after seeing the Ala Carte and chefs at work i couldn't resist on my second trip here to go for it.
Today based on our waiter Fernandez's recommendation, we went for a selection of dishes.
Which consisted of small plate starters of Calamari and Octopus dish, the Marsala grilled Avocado, the blue shell soft shell crab which was delightful. This was followed by the Best Lamb Chops i have had in my whole life and Malabar Prawns that came off the grill, Tandoori Broccoli, smoked Paneer, following onto Prawn Biryani, butter chicken and the Kahani Daal.

Now after being full up we decided to try the signature Kahani deserts, which was a Melt in the Middle Cheesecake and then followed by a new cocktails that wasn't on their menu, we tried a Cardamon Rose Martini as well as the Spiced Rum Lassi.

All the time we sat next to the Desert kitchen watching the chefs at work.
