The brunch buffet was very disappointing. The quality of the fish was fair but the rice was mushy and overly sweet. Most of the cooked food was tasteless and over cooked. We were sat at the closest table to the buffet and service area (and that was with a reservation) so the walkway right beside our table was constantly crowded and busy. The service (which let’s be honest, at a buffet is only clearing plates, bringing drinks and making sure water is refilled) was almost nonexistent. We had to repeatedly ask to have our plates cleared (I noticed everyone had that problem) and our water was never refilled. It felt like we were ignored even though everyone passed by our table many times. The experience was definitely not worth the price! I would not recommend to anyone. The Ned Sunday feast was only £3 more and seemed like it was a nicer location (with a live Jazz band) and offered many more choices and better quality.
Love Kaia, amazing atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and willing to accommodate all needs. Poke bowls look beautiful and taste incredible!
Best sushi in months! I love raw fish and Kaia’s ingredients were remarkably fresh. The sashimis were delicious and beautifully presented, the tempura prawns and spicy tuna were very tasty too. I don’t like The Ned’s loud live music but it was Thursday so we could actually talk! It was a very pleasant experience as always and I will definitely go back 👌
Food was way above delicious. The host was very welcoming.
Food was very average, not as tasty as it should be. Service was also very average. Our waiter advised badly on food and encouraged us to have more than we wanted.
Outstanding as per usual. Food is always scrumdiddlyumptious, service is excellent and the atmosphere (although music can at times drown conversation a little) is vibrant and modern, juxtaposing with the beautiful classic decor.
The food was simply wonderful. The main gripe would be drink prices. £10 gin prices should include tonic, not then another £3, more than bottle of gin in most stores. Would definitely return however for the food and the ambiance.
Nice food and plenty of it however for the cost it was an expensive breakfast. I would recommend spending the same money on a more bespoke brunch.
What a fantastic find that was! Quality of food is really, really good, choice is ample. Service is outstanding - they are friendly, super helpful (even without asking), nobody gives you blameful looks is you leave something uneaten, and they pick up empty dishes immediately, so your table, even if you eat A LOT, looks elegant and sophisticated :)
Seating is in long rows of tables, so not that private, however it's ok.
Even though initially I thought it's pricey, it was worth every penny, as you can really eat all you can, and quality of food is supberb.
Will most definitely visit again
Food was delicious and service was very efficient!
Food was excellent - the nigiri was high quality.. Lovely ambience but a tiny bit noisy. The only slight criticism is that they could not give us a jug of water for the table. So we had to constantly wave down a waiter to get our glasses refilled. We resorted to get two glasses of water each for convenience.
The food was excellent but the service was bad. Had a friend's birthday, so asked them 6 hours before dinner time if they could arrange for a birthday cake slice to which they said they have run out of ingredients. If I bring my own cake, they would charge GBP10 pp. A bit of a rip off.
The food is always exceptional
Fab selection complimented by great service.
Thankyou and we shall definitely return again soon x
Excellent venue with first class service.
Returned for the delicious beef wagyu tataki but it had disappointedly run out. Will still return in future :)
Was rushed the whole time from being sat down. We hadn’t even been on the table for an hour and a half, before the manager asked us to move on as other people were waiting. If we hadn’t have been rushed, we would have likely bought another bottle of wine. Same can be said for when choosing desserts, we were constantly hassled to order our dessert, and whilst the food was cooked to a good standard, the tables were not big enough and we were rushed the entire time. Poor customer management and I would deter people from visiting. In addition, when we left, we could not see anyone take our table and so it felt like the staff just wanted to get rid of us, so that they could go home.
Extremely good food and value for money very very reasonable.
Food is good especially the starter and grill
the area is just huge with plenty of restaurants so not really cosy and very noisy tables are quite close to each other but I was fortunate not to seat at the bar
Superb food served as its ready. But small table and far too many tables for the space.
Absolutely fantastic food and a wonderful setting. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone
Was disappointed based that lots of people rave about it.
Welcome host was not welcoming, was way too loud and felt chaotic, not enough staff. But the sushi was excellent.
Overall disappointed based on their reputation - was expecting and hoping for a lot more. There’s better ones out there.
Excellent Sunday brunch buffet with good quality Food. Excellent service from all staff as well which was a pleasant surprise as with buffets sometimes the service is non existent.
Excellent selection and standard of food in a very smart yet casual setting. Perfect brunch venue to entertain guests.
We booked the afternoon tea and was served cold tea that did not brew due to clearly luke warm water being poured into the teapot (so tasted more like water than tea). Only ate 3 peices of sushi then dessert which was not good value for money howeevr the sushi and desserts did taste good. Atmosphere is great and service was good. I would come again but not for the afternoon tea which was a bit of a let down. The Poke Bowles look good though.
The food was delicious. They do bring the food as it’s cooked. I really enjoyed the meal but it was a bit short and I found it very expensive, so it’s really for special occasions.
Beautiful venue, delicious food, excellent service. Great for a catch up with friends.
Yummy yummy yummy
Great food and good service. The venue can get quite loud so avoid if you seek tranquil dining. Recommended for a vibrant night out in the City!
Had a nice lunch here, its a energetic sort of place with decent food in a nice setting. The only downside was that it was fairly noisy.
Good service and amazing food. I really like the building too. this is my 2nd visit to Kaia and I'll be back again. It is only on a special occasion as it is very expensive. Dinner, a few drinks and a bottle of wine for 3 people was over £500.
Enjoyed a nice lunch. Service was good and friendly despite not delivering an item we ordered. Very busy so book in advance. The sushi was very good and full of flavour.
The food was absolutely de-lish! We had the salmon teriyaki, pork gyoza and the tuna poke bowl and I was very impressed. Was a bit noisy but that is to be expected in The Ned with the open plan layout and all the different restaurants. Service was a bit slow when it came to getting hold of and paying for our bill but our waiter was very nice. My only real gripe was the stools at the counter. They were incredibly high and I struggled to get on my stool in my skirt and then I my stool was so heavy I couldn’t pull it any closer to the counter top (and looked like an utter idiot in my efforts to do so). Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu but will be requesting a table rather than a stool.
I have been to Kaia a few times now, the food is lovely, sushi is a high standard, service is great and i enjoy every visit to this restaurant. Definitely my favorite restaurant at The Ned.
The Ned is a great spot, very lively and with a number of different dining options all spread out across a very large main floor. Food at Kaia was very good, as was the service. Loved best the ambiance and the buzz!
Great service and were able to move us to our preferred table which was great. Food was lovely, drinks were amazing and service was attentive even though they were busy and full.
Service great, ambience great, food ok. Poke bowl is good value but other food (e.g. sushi) overpriced. Temakinho quality, Nobu price. Still a cool place just not for the food. (One of the better options at The Ned though)
My first visit to The Ned and Kaia, and it will definitely not be my last, very impressed with the ambience and keeping the original features was a great idea, The food at Kaia was superb. will be back again
