Such a fun time with great service! Atmosphere is lovely
The food was great, however we felt a little rushed - we wanted to enjoy a drink after our meal however we were told they needed the table! We had only been there for just under an hour and a half, slightly disappointing!
Wonderful meal. Only food we think could be tastier were the pork dumplings.
Perhaps more enticing dessert options too.
Great food great service. Thank you Kaia, would highly recommend
One of my favourite restaurants to go to when celebrating with friends. The food tastes as amazing as it looks!
Staff are all lovely and very helpful. Would go again
Terrible - don’t go. Food spicy without warning. No covid care
Beautiful venue, amazing food and presentation. Friendly, happy staff. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Excellent place for a nice evening with your friends! Food is amazing, especially black cod and tuna with pineapple cubes!
If you love sushi, Kaia is the place to go!
Service was great, and very clear about track & trace which was reassuring. Beautiful food and amazing cocktails, and could hear the music from the bandstand round the corner which added to the ambience.
Excellent starters and mains, but on the small side. Black cod was the highlight! The dessert - dissppointing. Dry and not sweet enough. Excellent service, lovely ambiance. Although the live act nowhere near as good as before the lockdown.
Delicious food & great service. My favourite restaurant
Delicious food, friendly staff and got 50% off the food on Eat out to Help out so very good value.
Understanding and taking into account the changes needed to adhere to the new normal, Kaia felt safe and secure. That said, we waited 15 mins for anyone to come to us to take our order and another 10 mins for the drinks order to arrive. The food was very, very nice but felt a little over priced. Empty plates were sitting with us so long that I cleared the table myself in the end. Other than that, all good.
We loved our food and experience. The only thing we noticed was that the chef's were not all wearing their masks appropriately (noses out etc).
The food and location where both great. However, the service was incredibly slow - any time we wanted to order we had to flag down the waiter. The waiter was very nice, but perhaps they were understaffed (but there seemed to be lots of other staff hanging around the bar). We would still go back, as hopefully we caught them on an off night.
Food was excellent, the waiting staff were flexible and very responsive, they even got a little cake with candle to surprise my friend’ who was celebrating her birthday. Lovely restaurant with delicious food!
The NED has let us down unfortunately.
I love the location and enjoyed the live music.
But the food was not great and not worth the money.
Service was kind of nice but stressy - not giving you enough time to choose or be able to help recommend dishes or drinks. Knowledge was not up to scratch.
Going out during a pandemic is always a bit weird but the restaurant did not leave enough space between people - we were sat at the counter which is fine but it felt tight and uncomfortable.
Such a shame as I used to love the NED - BUT NED - you have changed.
One my fav places in The Ned
The aubergine, blink COD, JFC, prawns absolutely delicious
I haven’t even started with sushi
Amazing ambience, very good variety of food and drinks. Authentic flavours and off-course within a very good hotel, overall great experience. Will definitely go again
Food was amazing, but there was no social distancing.
The waiters regularly stood 10cm away from me for extended periods while serving other tables. There were empty tables on the other side of the walkway and extending the restaurant would make a much safer experience.
Food was very tasty. Would definitely come back for a special occasion.
We had a lovely evening. The food was incredible, service was attentive and the entertainment in the bar afterwards was the best way to end the evening
Despite the difficulties of Covid the staff were absolutely brilliant, food top notch and we had a wonderful dinner celebrating our anniversary. Another great meal at The Ned and we will of course be back.
Poor service, no one addressed us . Several times we had to try to get the staffs attention.
We were brought a used bowel containing someone’s used wasabi under our bowl- in this covid climate I found that particularly vile. Squeezed at the end of the counter side by side with my partner who was sat squeezed against a pillar.
Not ideal particularly for the price.
Food good but I’ve had better sushi. Would not return .
Great food, great service. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Ned and it’s restaurants certainly have gone down hill after covid and what I presume are the cost cutting measures. Many things not on the menu and a lot fewer staff meant the wait was long and tedious and the food quality has suffered drastically.
Food was tasty but quite expensive- salmon was £15 but that was all you got. Sides were separate. The staff were nice but the service was a bit slow given the place wasn't full. It was also pretty noisy.
I think there are better places to eat if you want Asian but of you want to go to the Ned, Zoblers is great.
Kaia is a great way to try japanese fine dinning in the uk. High quality service. I recommend the Wagyu rolls and wagyu Tataki!
Fantastic evening at Kaia. The black cod was to die for
Best meal so far at the ned. Amazing value will come again
Pretty nice for a tasting/sharing vibe. Good to try lots of bits but would avoid if you wanted a hearty/big meal. Worked well for my business meeting as 4. Food a little advanced for my taste but still enjoyed it.
Not often we got for a fancy meal but this was perfect. Pricey but the food exceeded our expectations! The staff where very friendly and looked after us well. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Felt a bit empty but completely understandable due to Covid-19. The social distancing was great and we saw the chefs were wearing masks. Would highly recommend.
Great service, tasty food. It is a simple menu which would be my only critisism, there is nothing that stands out on the menu, good solid food but nothing out of the ordinary.
The food is excellent as is the service. It was slightly more muted than usual but that’s due to Covid, not the restaurant.
Amazing food and great location! Delicate spins on trusted classics
We had popped out for a couple of drinks - a couple of cocktails in and we thought let’s go out for food. Within an hour we had booked a table and were sitting down eating. Our first meal out since lockdown so thought we would have a treat at the Ned. Had never been to Kaia before but the food was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming... we had a perfect evening. We will be coming back.
Lovely atmosphere, choice of benches or a table. Great service
The man taking our order wore a mask. You couldn't understand a word he was saying.hiwever thr waiter serving the food had NO MASK, and then talked whilst serving the food. DISGUSTING. and clearly no management to correct this stupid situation
We booked a table for four and enjoyed ourselves, thank you. It was a birthday celebration and we got a little cake given to us by the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. We came at 7pm and left at 09:30pm and the restaurant was empty (post lockdown).
