Yummy yummy yummy
Great food and good service. The venue can get quite loud so avoid if you seek tranquil dining. Recommended for a vibrant night out in the City!
Had a nice lunch here, its a energetic sort of place with decent food in a nice setting. The only downside was that it was fairly noisy.
Good service and amazing food. I really like the building too. this is my 2nd visit to Kaia and I'll be back again. It is only on a special occasion as it is very expensive. Dinner, a few drinks and a bottle of wine for 3 people was over £500.
Enjoyed a nice lunch. Service was good and friendly despite not delivering an item we ordered. Very busy so book in advance. The sushi was very good and full of flavour.
The food was absolutely de-lish! We had the salmon teriyaki, pork gyoza and the tuna poke bowl and I was very impressed. Was a bit noisy but that is to be expected in The Ned with the open plan layout and all the different restaurants. Service was a bit slow when it came to getting hold of and paying for our bill but our waiter was very nice. My only real gripe was the stools at the counter. They were incredibly high and I struggled to get on my stool in my skirt and then I my stool was so heavy I couldn’t pull it any closer to the counter top (and looked like an utter idiot in my efforts to do so). Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu but will be requesting a table rather than a stool.
I have been to Kaia a few times now, the food is lovely, sushi is a high standard, service is great and i enjoy every visit to this restaurant. Definitely my favorite restaurant at The Ned.
The Ned is a great spot, very lively and with a number of different dining options all spread out across a very large main floor. Food at Kaia was very good, as was the service. Loved best the ambiance and the buzz!
Great service and were able to move us to our preferred table which was great. Food was lovely, drinks were amazing and service was attentive even though they were busy and full.
Service great, ambience great, food ok. Poke bowl is good value but other food (e.g. sushi) overpriced. Temakinho quality, Nobu price. Still a cool place just not for the food. (One of the better options at The Ned though)
My first visit to The Ned and Kaia, and it will definitely not be my last, very impressed with the ambience and keeping the original features was a great idea, The food at Kaia was superb. will be back again
The food is great, in particular the popcorn chicken is very tasty!
The food was good but some of the dishes have lost their ‘va va voom’. I think the black cod gyoza has definitely lost its special touch, the taste is very different to what it used to taste like. I think the main menu (ex-sushi menu) needs an update.
Excellent Sunday buffet, fresh and varied, really enjoyed it. The service was great on the whole, with a few minor hiccups. Main niggle was that I had indicated on booking that this was an anniversary, and they tried to stick us on a side bar next to kitchen.
Fantastic service and excellent food, really enjoyed this brunch. Only downside in my opinion is the seating on the stools which I think can be uncomfortable particularly if you're going with older guests, if you want a table might be a good idea to request this by phone
Absolutely fantastic venue for Sunday brunch. As much sushi, poke bowls, hot stuff and puddings for £45. Outstanding
There were bones in my sushi, having bought this to the attention of the staff, a feeble apology was given
Booked The Ned via OpenTable which was super easy and was confirmed via the restaurant a couple of days prior to the booking.
The hotel itself is beautiful with sympathetic decor for a building of its age. It screams high end but also feels unpretentious which are often mutually exclusive! Felt really at ease here, staff knowledgeable and friendly. Food and drinks delicious and beautifully presented.
Average food, unsured to understand why I have to pay the same service charge for a buffet. Nice atmosphere though.
Excellent food and friendly service. The service was a little sluggish, however, as they didn’t seem to have enough serving staff.
Great spacious hall, amazing ambient and good food. Perfect place for a meal.
Seated us ‘out of the way’
Great atmosphere - it’s loud and buzzing and not calm and swanky and it looks in the photographs. The food was good, specially the black cod in miso. The service was less than acceptable. For a restaurant like this in a place like The Ned surely they have a training module for the service staff! We had a young person who told us 3 times that she had been there only 4 days and didn’t know much- about any of the food or drinks! The communication with the bar was obviously poor as the sake took forever to come to the table. I’d say it’s a good casual dining place, don’t plan on a romantic Asian dinner here!
Went for the sunday brunch which was great, my favourite Japanese brunch has always been at Roka however I would say the selection of food was probably on par with that. Service was great, shame they dont have a bottomless option. We had the 12pm seating which was fairly quiet however by 1pm the place was packed. Would definitely go back again.
Fabulous food and atmosphere and service highly recommend especially the spicy tuna rolls! 😋
Lovely food , we were eating early so there were only a few diners but made up for my service and lovely staff
I took my vegan client who I wanted to impress and most certainly wasn't disappointed. The colour and of the food was perfect giving it all a healthy slant. Each of the dishes was presented to an excellent standard and tasted fabulous. Loved the relaxed 'high seats' area. Would certainly recommend Kaia. Can't wait to go back.
The ambiance and decor at The Ned is fabulous, well worth a visit. The food was fine, not great, but fine. The service, however, was mediocre at best. Our waitress couldn’t tell us if the poke bowls had rice in them, excusing her ignorance with reference to it being her second day on the job. They would go well to do a little more training before putting people on the floor. I would try another restaurant at The Ned next time.
Lovely place with lovely food.
Amazing ambience at the ned
Not vakue for money
Poke bowl could be much tastier and more variety to sdd or remove stuff in the bowls
I am getting fed up with communal dining at these prices. I don't know what you need to do to get a table when reserving but we were shoved on a communal table, I got my request to move to a quieter bit but these are fairly top end prices and it is more like wagamamma's. We had tap water which was never once replenished - just one glass each. Nice food but I can't risk a communal table again and so I won't be back on a regular basis, if at all.
High quality Sushi brunch. A good widespread of food choices.
Small plates however, which means you have to go up more frequently.
Excellent customer service, polite and helpful staff
Only slight negative was the table spaces are very tight/cramped, especially if you have a toddler with you.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent venue.
Only downside was that food of that calibre deserves a better setting than a café style table / location in the building.
No real complains however, would definitely recommend. Food was incredible.
Great vibe, really interesting and beautifully presented food (except disappointingly bland pork gyoza). Good mix of people to watch, which made it a fun place to go with clients.
Slow service. Food wasn’t the best.
The food served was absolutely great and delicious. The only problem for us was that we got seated to the high table with some really high chairs, which where impossible to get near the table to be comfortable. Also when the people next to us were trying to get to the table, the whole thing was shaking like crazy. So the chairs were really not good but the awesome food almost made us forget about that.
Took my daughter (15) she loves the Miso soup but all of the food and service was excellent. Atmosphere great too would recommend to anyone either on a night out or a special meal.
Great food. Fab atmosphere and wonderful service! Will defo be back!
The food was amazing. Really enjoyed the ambiance and service by the waiting staff. They also made a special effort with the dessert as it was my partner's birthday.
Really good food but at a premium in terms of pricing. If you are looking for a quiet meal for 2 this might not be the place for you given the seating arrangements, especially along the long marble "bar" section.
