We had a wonderful 2 course Sunday lunch! Food was amazing, we had a roast beef and pork for our mains. We were served mainly by Melissa, very friendly, thank you ☺️
Great choice of wines. We were too full for pudding. We usually go to Sticky Walnut as it is local to us but thought we’d try Kala for a date night in Manchester. Would definitely return
It was first class as always not been for a while but it was amazing to be back
Wonderful food and service
Excellent service from Georgia and her colleagues. Food was superb, highly recommend, wish they were in London!!
Food was absolutely amazing as was the service. Some of the table were late and the restaurant was very accommodating.
Superb as normal.
We had an amazing anniversary meal at Kala and the staff were amazing and look after us so well.
Fantastic. Food, service and ambiance excellent. Great location too. We will be back
Couldn’t have been perfecter. Amazing food and ambience (lol)
Great food, especially the beautiful braised beef and truffle chips. We went with the paired wine suggestions abs they were excellent too
Amazing food and good value with set menu. Can’t recommend enough!
We were very pleased with our meal at Kala: delicious food (I had the tandoori trout - lime pickle was excellent!, pork and creme brûlée), very pleasant service all in a lovely setting. Prices seemed very reasonable at £23 for 3 courses. Would definitely recommend!
Unbelievably good, couldn't rate it any higher... definitely recommend
Kala never fails to deliver excellent food and service. The new starters , Killeen cheese dumpling and lamb fat potato terrine are so tasty we will definitely be having them again.
Food is always amazing, the feather blade was mouth watering. Very busy lunch with great atmosphere, Was only 2 people serving but this was never a problem as they were always on hand if you needed anything.
Great food as ever. Always consistent. Service a bit slower than usual for mains and paying the bill, but given the current situation, not unexpected.
Excellent food, staff and ambience. Could not ask for more.
Kala is always exceptional. Excellent food and service. Feels special without being stuffy or pretentious. Menu is well considered and doesn't have any dead weight on it + wine list is great. Will continue to return and recommend widely.
Fantastic food. Simple ideas finished to a high standard. Wine was lovely too. The staff were friendly and helpful without being too much. We’re planning on revisiting next time we’re in Manchester
I always enjoy the Elite bistros dining experience- for both the service and food. Excellent on both accounts.
My mum and I agreed that the tiramisu was the best we’ve ever eaten.
Limited options on the Sunday lunch menu. I had to go for the seabass which was tiny in comparison to the roasts, looked like a child’s dinner. Tasty but small.
Some dishes were very good some just ok. One was overcooked. We were told they were between menus so not everything was available. Service was friendly but not perfect, there seemed to be a lot of staff but only two people doing all the work. Overall I'd say it's 'fine'. A good spot, nicely fitted out but it could be better.
Beautiful food, excellent service and great wine pairings with each dish. Also a GF menu with lots of choice!
Amazing service, we had our own dairy free and gluten free menus!!
Service was exceptional. Portions are small but quality is excellent. Approx cost with wine for 2 x courses each @£45 per head
Beautiful pace with amazing food and a really lovely atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming
Everything was amazing, however we found a piece of plastic in a dish.
Kala is good enough that we will go back even though that happened, but it was just said to see that no one took accountability/ apologised even when it was brought to their attention (and we do it in a nice way not in an angry way)
Overall the food is stunning though- I think this has become one of my top Manchester places to go. It was a friends birthday and they made a nice little platter with the bill. The chocolates/ fudge on that platter should be packaged and sold because they were phenomenal- I would definitely buy it weekly!
Wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until we left, couldn't have been looked after by our waitress any better. Food was fantastic, with plenty of time between courses, all in all, great experience and wouldn't hesitate going back.
Lunch for 2, 3 courses, everything tasted fresh and delicious. An open kitchen, relaxed but attentive service, menu has 3 or 4 choices, which I find reassuring of the food cooked to order, my sea bass fillet was perfectly cooked crispy skin et al. I remarked to my wife that there was no need to ask for salt and pepper, it was all seasoned very nicely. I’d go again, a 3 course lunch on King St for £23 plus drinks. Superb.
Excellent all round.. food was fantastic, staff all attentive and friendly.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was great and it was easy to enjoy yourself with friends in the space. The Sunday lunch menu represented such good value for money, especially in light of the quality of what was served up to us. Will recommend to everyone and will definitely return. The team really excelled at providing a fantastic experience for me and my friends.
Nice atmosphere and great food, quite expensive but worth it as good quality. Staff were friendly and professional too, would go again.
Nice bistro, the service was excellent. We went for Sunday lunch, the food was nice. Unfortunately the mains were drowned in an overpowering gravy so couldn’t taste much else. If we were to visit again we’d try the bistro menu instead.
The Sunday roast was delicious. Everything was perfect and had a real home cooked feel.
Best roast we’ve had in a long time. Just delicious. Everything was better than expected. Can’t wait to go again.
Great place, great service. Lovely place to eat and drink
The food at Kala is variations on ‘classic British dish with a twist’. Sometimes this made the dish interesting but other times it didn’t work. Well worth visiting if you enjoy novelty and creativity and innovation. Great service but which doesn’t quite reach a fine dining standard (e.g. bringing espresso long before desserts were ready). Great wine list and sensible mark-up. Fairly noisy restaurant and not very romantic setting. Excellent value for the price.
Excellent food with superb service.
Would highly recommend the sirloin to share
We couldn’t fault anything especially the food
The noise level is high but that’s the style of the restaurant
Quality food, lovely flavours. This place knows what they’re doing. For the price point, 5 stars.
