At all times, 50% of our tables in our restaurant are kept unreserved so we can accommodate anyone who visits us.
Kanada-Ya Piccadilly is an authentic Japanese ramen bar, specialising in delicious tonkotsu ramen cooked from a recipe created by Kanada Kazuhiro, founder of our restaurant in Yukuhashi, Japan.
As well as our signature ramen, you will find a range of Onigiri (premium Japanese rice balls wrapped in Nori) as well as a selection of beers, sakes and soft drinks, all served in a friendly, informal setting.
A fantastic place for ramen, small menu but they offer top quality. Felt a bit uncomfortable with the service, the venue is extremely small and the staff was therefore standing at our table watching us. Drinks we ordered never came but they provided water as soon as we were seated which was very kind.
As always, dinner was delicious. If you are looking to try some delicious ramen at an affordable price, look no further!
Best ramen I've ever had in London. Our group loved the whole experience - we will definitely come back soon!
Straight fire. Don't go elsewhere this is the spot for Ramen.
Best Ramen in town and the karaage fried chicken is amazing. Can't get enough.
Visited during a recent trip to London. This is a special place!
They ran out of the three best tonkotsu, disappointing.
Enjoyed the tonkatsu x, which is meant to be unique to London. Enjoyed the broth. Not to gamey taste.Next time I need to remember to add egg to the order for a more complete and wholesome taste. Would have enjoyed it with more pieces of meat but still enjoyed the ramen.
I really enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. There was not much choice, just ramen, but it was very good and good value for money! A gem tucked away in Picadilly!
This is one of the best places I have been to for ramen outside of Japan. They stay true to the basics.
Best Ramen in town! Love the soup, took my colleagues there the first time and they loving it!
We are happy that we could reserve a table at this restaurant because there was a long queue outside. The noodles are indeed excellent with a very delicious soup base. Noodles are reasonably priced. Fried chicken has a strong garlic taste so not recommended if you don't like garlic. Noodle top-up costs 4 euros, so good for those with a bigger apetit.
What has happened to this place?! Our ramen was served luke warm and our waitress was extremely rude who dropped a few edemame beans while serving us and proceeded to picking them up from our table and eating them around the corner. Ergh
Had a lovely pre-theatre meal with friends and this was super tasty without weighing us down in our seats for the performance. There isn't a vast menu but there doesn't need to be - they concentrate on Ramen dishes and the spicy Gekikara I had was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the Karaage and the Chashu Don rice - so much flavour packed into it. Looking forward to heading back soon...
Fantastic range of devine Tonkotsu's. very pleasent members of staff.
It's my favourite Ramen place in London. Spicy Yuzu Ramen goes well together with Hanzuku egg.
Dead nice Ramen in a relaxed setting. Fast service and good options.
We dine here a few times a year and weekends during the summer tourist season the quality of the food and prep there of REALLY suffers!
They have overloaded their kitchen badly.
The rest of the year the food is much better
Great staff great food would come again
Good restaurant and good food. I think I didn't made the best choice but is a personal thing. Everyone loved their food.
The food and service were outstanding however the experience was marred by the tiny and cramped seating space and the sweltering heat. It's unfortunate it's the only of the two spots that take reservations. I will not return.
Great meal, very ramen even if all the chefs are Italian, but boy the got the cooking right. Will go again, shocked that it has taken me so long to discover it...
Small restaurant but excellent quality food.
The ramen, sake and all was really great, its a bit expensive though.
Don't be put off by the small menu! If you're looking for a tasty bite before the theatre or just want a nice relaxed lunch with friends then this is the place! We had ramen but we were liked the look of the rice balls on the next table :)
The best ramen I have ever had.
Excellent service staff, good arrived prompt and was absolutely delicious! The Ramen is pretty authentic especially the broth and egg, chicken karage was seasoned beautifully though the chicken was really dry.
The ramen was amazing - my boyfriend and I got the TonkatsuX and the Truffle ramen. Really wish they had the green-tea soft serve though! Was looking forward to trying that but the machine was broken.
Great ramen! Served at a fast pace, but dining didn't feel rushed. The matcha ice cream was a perfect finish to the meal!
The place is super simple but ramen is amazing if you are the modern-ramen kind of guy.
Great ramen, one of the best meals we had. Even though we had a reservation, they only allowed us to sit when the entire party was here. As there were 6 of us in the party, some obviously came later and so we weren't able to sit until much later. Fortunately, it wasn't much later as they said, if the party arrives too late, they wont be able to hold our reservation... booo.... But on a bright side, I told them in advance that it was my friend's birthday and they kindly celebrated his birthday! That was pretty neat.
Great food with good ambience. Definitely worth a wait.
Went here for the veg ramen - the soy milk porcini broth was amazing. My non-veg husband loved his truffle pork ramen too. Really good beer and sake too. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Food was good but the portion was slightly on the small side. Pork was delicious in the ramen.
First impression was not good as we were made to wait until all members of our group had arrived before getting a table, and nowhere to wait except on a busy noisy street! However luckily everyone arrived within 5 minutes (most unusual!). Food was excellent, service very good and all had a splendid meal (birthday treat before theatre round the corner).
Delicious ramen! We had the Tonkotsu X, a mixture of pork and chicken broth that was super tasty. Unfortunately the regular Tonkotsu wasn't available which is a shame as it's the restaurant's signature dish. The truffle salt edamame were a treat. Service was quick and efficient. It's a shame the place was roastingly hot - the air con was switched on eventually but we were sweltering.
Thank you for a wonderful meal. Complete newbie to ramen but now having a go at home too! Fantastic tasty food with friendly and informative service. Go-ramen!
This location accepts reservations, the one in St. Giles street does not. As we were the last table of the night - I saw the staff turn away many hopeful customers without reservations to ensure that there was enough ramen left for our party. By the time I arrived at the restaurant (shortly after 8pm) 3 types of Ramen had already sold/run out that night. So eat and/or arrive early is key! The Tonkatsu X ramen was very tasty - very rich and fatty. My friends had the Geikara ramen, which they were both very happy with. We shared some edamame with truffle salt which was a great snack! Service was attentive, friendly, and quick.
Really great and simple. Not fussy - one of the best ramens I have eaten.
