Kanishka

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Kanishka. This time we tried the tasting menu which was amazing. We already look forward to our next time at Kanishka:-)

Top notch, innovative Indian food, friendly and professional service. This meal re-ignited my love of Indian food! We had the tasting menu, layered, beautifully spiced and varied courses, delicious.

Probably one of the best Indian taste experiences I have had in a while. Whatever you order make sure the chicken tikka pie is on the list. It’s amazing!

Great deal on hot dinners - had the set menu which had a good range of dishes. The lamb biryani was on of the best perfectly spiced and not greasy at all!
I didn’t understand what they were going for with the decor but the food and service were so good I didn’t really care.

This restaurant is truly amazing! It has an amazing vibe and the staff are very attentive and always make you feel special. The food is top quality and cooked perfectly every time! The mixed grill and mutton curry are to die for .. The cocktails are tasty and well presented - my personal favourite is the Cosmopolitan .. I’ve tried the local equivalents in the area such as, Tamarind and Benares and while they are good too, I can honestly say that Kanishka is the best. If you’re thinking about going, don’t hesitate!

Ordered lamb which was overcooked and service is just ok feels like I sat in an old school hall and someone tried to bring it into 21st century

I had a coconut curry seafood dish that was really nice. The portion size was just right and Garlic Naan bread was quite good.

Fantastic restaurant and amazing food. The tasting menu is definatley the one to go for. Everything has such a high depth of flavour. The service is second to none also. Only slight - and I mean slight - thing is that the other courses were served as small tasting portions and then the last savoury dish - the goat curry - was quite large compared to the rest and we were a little full. It also tasted great but not with a wow factor.
But that is a really really slight point - this is a truly amazing place.

We enjoyed a lovely meal taking up the hot dinners offer. The food was really good especially the dessert which was wow. Great service.

We also ordered the chicken tikka pie which is not part of the offer

Music at club level on the ground floor. Tepid starters. Main courses good. Service very poor, we sat for 20 mins before any water or drinks were offered. The staff insisted on topping up water glasses and as 2 out of 3 of us were drinking sparkling water, they repeatedly poured fizzy into the still drinker's glass and then brought another fresh glass for her. 3 different members of staff did this more than once each as if they had no more memory than a goldfish.

Delicious food, a great way to start an evening before a concert at the Palladium.

From the moment we walked through the door the service was impeccable! Food was absolutely beautiful, my husband and I enjoyed every moment of our evening! Thanks to all the staff for their high standard of service.

We were on a lunch offer which was good value for the food we were served by attentive staff in a very relaxed atmosphere.

A little late with the feedback, but a month on I still have vivid memories of the sheer pleasure of the evening, the flavours, yup the falvours, exquisite, memorable.

Amazing food, top service, lovely ambiance

Excellent flavours, beautifully married together. And the 6 course sharing menu was a bargain. Delightful food in decadent interiors (and the loveliest bathroom interiors!)

Absolutely outstanding

Food was underwhelming, service was subpar.. I was expecting to be wowed given that the chef has a Michelin star and the menu is pretty pricey. Don’t think we’d return given much better options in London

The tasting menu was quite simply extraordinary, with some of the very best food I've ever tasted. I'd recommend Kanishka wholeheartedly – a wonderfully friendly and relaxed atmosphere too.

The team made us feel welcome and special from the moment we walked in. The tikka pie is a must as are the scallops. Dads butter chicken was delicious. Food was flavoursome and portions judged about right. We had a great evening although did feel the prices were on the high side but worth it given the overall experience,

Great food and atmosphere.

Food was great and very good value for money with the set menu offer. Have been to Benares and found the Indian fusion food there quite disappointing, however at Kanishka the food is much more like the type of food Atul Kochar does on TV. Portions for the set-menu were generous too, we shared and were stuffed! Very good service too. Shall be returning soon.

I had bit more higher expectation from Kanishka being a A Kochhar restaurant- it was all good, but no wow factor. Had better Indian food than this in couple of places.

Very expensive. Not much choice for vegetarians. Overall not a good experience.

Having dined at many Indian Michelin star restaurants, I selected this restaurant having very high expectations of the Food and Chef, but was unfortunately left largely disappointed.
For starters we ordered Jackfruit, Beetroot Dhokla and Chicken Tikke pie.
The Jackfruit was great, packed full of flavour and the only dish we thoroughly enjoyed from starters and mains.
Dhokla is my most favourite Gujarati savoury dish, and I was very excited to try this- I assumed this to be infused with beetroot puree to give it the distinct pink colour, however we received 1 piece with a huge side salad of beetroot chunks. The only thing that made this dish stand out was the beetroot caviar.
Chicken Tikka Pie was served with an overwhelming amount of berry compote, something different but again was too much to handle and it took away the taste of the chicken tikka in the pie. I found it very hard to get away from the berry compote as the pie was placed on a bed of the sauce as well as a large amount to the side.
Paneer curry was also very disappointing, tasted very much of Heinz tomato soup with the addition of a few spices.
Dissatisfied with my experience at Kanishka.

We have been fortunate enough to dine at Kanishka many times since it opened its doors. During our last visit my wife’s octopus starter and venison main were both very good, I chose the chicken tikka pie followed by the goat curry, which is a great plate of food. The service throughout the evening was friendly and efficient.
