This was our first meal out since lockdown. Despite the cold we sat outside and it was lovely- the food was superb as was the service😀
Great meal, excellent staff. It was a shame about the temperature at the outside table, but this was no reflection on the restaurant whatsoever.
Outstanding evening as always. No better meal I could hope for before the lockdown!!!
Amazing food. We had 6 course tasting menu and it was super delicious. Service was impeccable as well. Definitely recommend for a special night or celebration.
Excellent food and service. The Chicken Tikka Pie is an absolute must!
Extremely tasty ! I will definitely be coming back.
The puchkas were a treat. For the first time we had adequate numbers in any restaurant. It would help if we were provided with the pani separately as well as some of them became dry. The veg platter was a tad letdown but more than made up by great black daal, kadhai paneer and bhindi. The chilli cheese naan was perfect. The chocolate sphere was outstanding.
If there can be one criticism, the rose wine was quite sad. Great service and many thanks for the special cake...
A wonderful evening. Great and unusual cocktails . Fabulous Hungarian red and outstanding food. We had the vegetarian tasting menu and all the dishes were sublime. We would go again tomorrow
Amazing experience, great ambience. Would definitely recommend and will surely go back.
For a fine dining restaurant, it was incredibly laid back and lacked the attention befitting of an establishment of its perceived stature. The food was lovely and the waitress was incredibly kind but we weren’t impressed with the overall experience.
This is the second time we've eaten here. Food was excellent both times and so was the service. This time though our plates were cold, such a shame to put good quality food on cold plates. Hopefully it was just one off.
Delicious food and excellent service. We are big fans of all Atul’s restaurants!
Fabulous food, a great setting and incredible service! What more could you ask for? I’ll be back very soon!
Overpriced food for what it is. Better options elsewhere. The chicken Teaka pie starter was average. The berry compote was over done. The Lamb nihari sauce was too lemony. The scallops starter was the nicest. In summary there are Better places to eat Indian food in London at slightly below these prices and for similar ambiance.
Excellent tasting menu, delicious food and great staff. One of the best restaurants in London!
Great taster menu, service and staff were amazing!!
The food is amazing of course but safety procedures seem to have been abolished. No disinfectant on the tables anymore. And next to us were seated a group of six who were clearly not part of the same household(s) and were not wearing masks when they came in or moved around in the restaurant. I can’t understand why a restaurant of this standing thinks they can disregard government guidelines.
Taste taste taste. Massive flavours across all courses with the Black dal still a meal in it self. I went off piste and asked for custard which appeared speedily and tasted wonderful. Great attentive service and professionalism shown in all departments
My sons n my favourite eat out place in london... been there now few times lovely staff... if I’m with my son we alway go there is child friendly restaurant too...
Food was great but the service was very poor. We had to ask the staff for things serval times. Bill took ages to come as well.
It was our Anniversary lunch and loved each and every bit of it. Specially the cocktail - Run Punch.
Detailed and very well presented dishes. Tasty as well .
Although rather expensive, it was worth it as a one off treat. Lovely food and good portions with friendly and helpful staff.
Absolutely live this place. The food and presentation is great. Ambience is so nice and the staff are always welcoming. It has become one of my favourite places toneat when im in central.
Excellent food coupled with really good service makes Kanishka a must visit. They have great provisions in place to manage COVID and the team at Kanishka followed them throughout our visit. A really great eating experience, will definitely be going back.........
The food was delicious as were the cocktails!
We have been twice and the food is consistently good and the service is impeccable.
Our first visit was a Saturday night and it was buzzy with a great atmosphere. The second time was Monday evening for early dinner and it was a calmer vibe but friendly and welcoming.
Definitely recommend a visit!
Lovely food
Service was great
I would go back
The goat curry was fantastic
Good food n very welcoming thanks
Lovely décor and great food. Particular highlight was the monkfish, was absolutely incredible.
The food was fantastic, and there was plenty of it.
The staff were friendly, helpful and not in your face
The restaurant was clean, tidy, covid safe.
We had a lovely lovely evening
High quality food and service - had the three course set menu with carafe of white wine. Perfect for us and good food choice available at each course.

Have tried Atul’s food before but was very disappointing visiting Kanishka for the first time , papadums came raw and chicken was pink , lamb briyani was alright , had better ones , had to return and get replaced papadums and butter chicken . Chef did send his apologies but this isn’t expected from a Fine dining and especially from a Michelin star chef restaurant . Love and care for the food was massively missing at Kanishka . Serving Staff was great .
Won’t be coming back and sorry can’t recommend to anyone .
I would definitely come back here. There were so many dishes on the menu that I would like to try. The food was very well presented, good size portions and of very good quality. You could taste every different spice that was used and the flavours were amazing. Very good service too.

We had a lovely dinner there yesterday. The biryani and the butter chicken were both excellent and the soft shell cab starter extraordinary and delicious. Great service from Phoebe and a warm welcome from everyone. Do go!

Kanishka looks beautiful. Interior design is thoughtful, elegant and unique. Staff are friendly, though slightly disorganised and inconsistent - varying from no service - we sat for over 20 minutes with no one taking our drink orders- to too much service with servers approaching every few minutes to ask about drinks. The biggest, and most disappointing, let down is the food. The best, most inspiring dish was the initial amuse bouche. The duck and momo appetisers were passable due to hunger, but tasted as if they were made days previously and warmed through. The biryani main was in a word- awful. The rice tasted of chlorine (perhaps from the water?) and the meat was tender but with little flavour.
Really good Service! To the point the water was served at optimum temperature.
Food was of excellent standard and very tasty! The lunch menu was value for money and the ambience had a vibe was great! We sat for 3 hours without being rushed... great place for any occasion.
