In spite of the difficult environment in which restaurants must operate, Karma made us feel welcome and but for the sparse patronage, one would be hard pressed to identify anything about the service or food that was otherwise compromised.

Karma continues to consistently deliver delicious food. Hands down the best Indian food in town!

We decided to visit during winter restaurant week. They definitely made sure guests felt safe, we were seated across the room from the only other occupied table and then as other diners arrived they too were strategically seated to allow for social distancing. As this was our first time, the hostess/waitress and the owner Sashi, were very attentive. The owner actually visited each table to ensure they were enjoying their dining experience. The young lady that waiting on us checked on us often, made recommendations of wine and entrees. We opted for the restaurant week meal, which I found to be filling and satisfying, I ordered the grilled branzino...my companion, though his meal was flavorful, did find the 3 small and unfortunately they were rather tiny lamb chops to be more of an appetizer than an entree. Would definitely visit again.

Karma Modern is a hidden gem with a spacious dining room, great staff, and delicious food. If you like it spicy, I would recommend going for a birthday celebration, date night, or even for a family dinner. I definitely plan to go back!!!!

Five of us celebrated New Year’s Eve at Karma. They have a very comfortable outdoor space that is covered but not enclosed. Plenty of heaters keep the space warm enough to dine without wearing a jacket, but still you feel safe and with proper social distancing. The food, as always, was flavorful and delicious!

I love Karma. Every time I go I try something different and have yet to be disappointed. The food is full of flavor, the ambiance is luxurious, the service is great, and the presentation of each dish is impressive.

Outstanding food as always. The Lamb is delicious as is the Butter Chicken. The Chicken Tikka is a staple and my go to every time I go there. Highly recommend.

Food was great. The cocktails were great as well. The bartender definitely made the drinks really strong. Service was fantastic. The main dining room is a little sterile. Looks like a high end diner. But then the private dining room by the side is just great. That is the room in the pictures online.

Probably the best Modern Indian Food in the US. The Paneer Lajawab, The Edamame Tikki and the Mushroom Biriyani was excellent. Can't recommend it enough.

Great personalized service! Food was delicious. Recommend the butter chicken with garlic naan. Cardamom ice cream was a pleasant surprise for dessert.

Lovely birthday celebration. We sat outside, so the noise level was low. Servers were very attentive. Food was delicious, with a nice presentation. We had the branzino, butter chicken and priyani chicken. And rose ice cream for dessert. It is expensive, but a nice experience!

Excellent food and service! We ate outside and it was relatively quiet and we lucked out with gorgeous weather. Everything was superb and the mushroom and truffle naan was perfection!

Outstanding food! I can't say it enough. We had the Lamb Roganjosh and Butter Chicken and both were outstanding. The spices are spot on. We also had desserts that were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. Please give this place a try...you will not be disappointed.

Everything was great. I don't even like Indian food but went here because my visiting friend loves it. I was surprised that I really enjoyed the food and the service and ambiance were great too..

Solid food, great drinks, AMAZING service. Definitely on the pricey side but if you're looking for a special night, I would highly recommend.

We "discovered" Karma Modern because of the pandemic (a walk through Chinatown) heat well moderated; excellent Naan - light & a little crispy on some edges. The Dal was seasoned & simmered to perfection. I know cauliflower doesn't usually evoke excitement - but try the grilled appetizer - the tender texture, smoky char & rich tomato based sauce are surprisingly different, and of course good. Very inventive cocktails & mocktails made with fresh squeezed juices & herbs - try anything with the blood orange. This was our second trip to bring the family in from Virginia for some real Indian food. Excellent, attentive service and knowledgeable staff. Treat yourself, if you are ready for authentic Indian - with a definite haute modern flair.
