The slow cooked lamb shoulder was delicious. However the most memorable feature was the quality of service. Our waitress was apparently a “first nighter” & I regarded her service & most helpful attitude to have been outstandingly good. Special mention also to the duty manager. A top night & we will be back!

Karoo & Co The Old School has a great choice of dishes on the menu. The friendly service and tasty dishes were enjoyed by all.

We love frequenting Karoo St Ives! The food is consistently excellent, the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Love this place!

The pizzas and substantial meals, eg lamb shoulder, are wonderful, as are the truffle fries. The interiors are gorgeous and it's great to have a decent restaurant in St Ives. However, there were a lot of mayo and beige colours in the starters (I made the mistake of ordering the mushrooms and the calamari together). The wine list could use a bit of attention as well.

Loved this restaurant. Food lovely. Maybe a bit pricey. Could do with a few more “non-pizza” options. Small issue with my husband’s order. Rectified immediately with no fuss. Made meal complimentary. Service staff very friendly and helpful adding fun to the evening’s conversations. Will definitely go back.

We are locals and regulars. We were there on Saturday night (27/2/21) and had another very enjoyable night. The food, as always, was great - we had Barramundi, Spaghetti Marinara, Lamb and Spaghetti ragout. All beautifully cooked and presented. We will be back.

Meal sent back as not nice. They refused to change it without charging more and then wouldn't take the meal off the bill. Owner then drove down from Wahroonga to argue with us. Awful.

Rather noisy but a nice meal overall. The service however is very average. I think a few tweaks and you will remedy this quickly. eg: Offer drinks while people wait for guests, explain specials if there are any, check in on the food, be more attentive and caring and coach staff to care more rather than just try to get the job done.

The restaurant ambience is very good - casual yet classy and comfortable. The staff are exceptional - it's clear that they enjoy working there! We are regulars at Karoo St Ives and feel so grateful to have such a fabulous eatery so close to home!

The waitress ignored us for a few mins and when got to us didn’t say anything, I had to say we had a booking. She said she couldn’t see a booking and then said I’ll have to go make up the table for you even though we booked a week in advance. She was unapologetic and unfriendly. The food was nice but a bit overpriced for what we had. Nice ambience and coffee.

Excellent food and service. All the girls were amazing!

From the minute we walked in we were extremely rushed. We were hovered over from the staff telling us we had limited time was expected to eat a3 course meal in an hour and a half we didn’t even manage to finish a pizza. We were told our time was up with food still in front of us and left eating our food out of a napkin. Extremely disappointing.

The pizzas were authentic and delicious, but the Pavlova was to die for!
