Chef Razdan and his wife Shweta opened their first restaurant in New Delhi in 1999 and the second in Singapore in 2007 with later having 2 more branches. It’s always been their dream to open a restaurant in London, so in 2016 that dream became a reality. Both are from Kashmir and are passionate about the region, it’s culture and cuisine. They firmly believe in the adage “Atithi Devo Bhava” which means “Guest is God” and look forward to welcoming you.

A great place, with a awesome service. The food tasted amazing. I felt the real Indian flavours, spicy and full of flavour.

We had a Saturday lunch at Kashmir and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We started with a traditional Kashmiri hand washing at the table, which was a nice touch and added to the experience. Chef Razdan was welcoming and helped us with all our questions. There is a mix of traditional Kashmiri dishes and other Indian dishes you would find in more generic Indian restaurants. We had the fish masala and the Rista (Kashmiri meatballs in gravy). Both were very well prepared and tasty, as were all the other accompaniments (naan, rice, vegetable curry) - definitely a cut above the standard Indian food you find in other restaurants. The papad basket was better quality and more varied than most poppadoms you get in other restaurants. The seating and design of the restaurant were also good. A drawback for some perhaps was that we were the only people in the restaurant at lunchtime, so it had a quiet ambience, but that didn't bother us at all. But it was the friendliness of Razdan and the waiters that most impressed us. Kashmir is a good addition to the dining scene in Putney. We shall return again.

Have been here a number of times. Food is excellent, each dish has its own taste and food is full of flavours. Recommend; Baigan Ka Bhartha, Chicken Tikka Masala, Bhuna Gosht, Murg Tikka Labbabdar, Kashmiri Pulao.

Service is fantastic. We will revisit again soon

This hidden gem just off the hustle and bustle of Putney High Street was a real eye opener. The decor was lovely, seating comfortable and little extras like washing your hands at the table in the traditional way and pop out hand towel were a nice surprise.

This was an impromptu visit, we fancied a curry and we got a lot more. The chef popped over and took our order and added in depth view to the ingredients and cooking. We loved the sound of the Kashmiri dishes on offer and decided why not, try them for our starter, mains and dessert.

The portions were just right and I don't usually make it to dessert, but this was just right.

The poppadoms were of two types and very tasty when mixed with the fresh made mint and delicious Tamarind sauce.

Our starters and mains were super tasty and full of spice and flavour, nice touch with the Chicken Rogan Josh using the thighs.

We can't wait to go back and hope that the standards can remain high.

Only slight negative was the waiter on that evening who must have had a bad day at the office, as he had no personality. Luckily the Chef more than made up for that.

Best Indian food in Putney and has full potential to be among the top 20 indian restaurants in london. Some really new curries never heard of before. Very warm and attentive staff, excellent food at reasonable prices. Worth a visit. We will be back.
