We had a fabulous time but ask for the price of wine before you order as we were charged £29.00 per glass and when the bill came we thought we had been charged for the bottle
Brilliant as always. Staff great, food and drink gorgeous and very relaxed
Incredible service! Oysters, wine, and dessert were the main stars. The sides (Brussels sprouts) were under seasoned, while the fish was great!
Mum and I went before going to a show. All superb. Great presentation and ambience
Excellent apart from my bugbear of having wine poured as if it was a beer. Why do you need to pour white wine by the glass, even when we buy a bottle. It goes warm !
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our Savoy experience. The Christmas lunch was tiny, the cranberry sauce arrived just as we finished and the waiter came up with some story about the chef not being happy with the batch he had made, why didn’t they say they just forgot! We also had to ask for our wine to be poured, not very attentive at all. Also, when I made the booking, I clicked on the birthday option as a special occasion, not sure why, as nothing happened!!! We spent a lot of money and felt sad we did not have a good time.
All in all a great experience. Staff extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Ambience decadent. Was celebrating birthdays and we were reserved a table overlooking the Thames. The oysters were super. Haven’t had them before but if you’re going to have oysters for the first time - why not at The Savoy(?). This was followed by the Halibut which whilst succulent and tasty was overpriced. The meal was washed down by an excellent bottle of pinot noire - my dining companion had the lamb hence the red.
I would definitely dine here again as a treat as it was a delightful experience.
A good option for a London breakfast, however service was slow and coffees etc slow to arrive. Also, Claridges offer a far better breakfast experience for the same price point (in my opinion) I.e. choice of pastries and croissants and fruit included in the main breakfast choice. I wouldn’t rush back, but was nice to experience.
Overall we had an extremely pleasant evening - our guests were very impressed too.
The food was wonderful, not a single complaint.
A truly terrific night
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Kaspers. Excellent staff and ambience. We’ll be back.
The design of this gem is stunning, and perfectly in keeping with the style of the Savoy.
Service was very pleasant right from the start. I had a superb Ramos Fizz cocktail suggested by the waiter when nothing on the short menu selection struck my fancy. It was one of the best cocktails I have ever had and many have been from the Savoy.
The Christmas Turkey selection was very good but the turkey and the sausage were much too dry. This was disappointing. Everything else was excellent. Then dessert recommended by the staff was wonderful. A mix of fruit etc. I should have mentioned that the specialty lobster soup was also amazing.
The only last comment was that I ordered the Savoy Laphroaig scotch as an indulgence, but was shocked to have it delivered in a glass crammed with ice. Before I could say anything the server was gone and I had to make haste to get the ice out of the glass before the scotch was ruined. No way to treat a scotch at £50 a glass!
But despite these two shortcomings, it was a wonderful experience and will definitely be going again soon.
We have returned to Kaspar's many times for special occasions. Rosaria is an exceptional waitress, thank you.
I will just write a very short review. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the Christmas decorations are gorgeous. I felt excited from the moment I stepped in through the front door. The service and food were great, the table presentation was beautiful as you can see from my picture and most importantly I had the most amazing view of the river Thames from my table. I am looking forward to staying at the hotel in the river view suite for my 40th birthday and experiencing everything that the Savoy has to offer including butler and a chauffeured transfer in Rolls Royce Phantom courtesy of the hotel ha ha.
I could tell that the waiter was under pressure and he got my order wrong but I did not say anything. In general it was ok.
Service and attention to detail was outstanding
Just what I expected, service and food impeccable. The hotel was very festive also.
Great place to have lunch, food was wonderful as always, the staff are so friendly, the price is a little heavy, but would always go back
We enjoyed the set menu for my boyfriend's birthday. Delicious food - really good value. Service was also excellent. Our waitress was really sweet, and they provided my partner with a little birthday cake. Drinks menu is pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Would thoroughly recommend.
I absolutely love eating in Kaspars. The service is excellent with waiting staff going out of their way to make an event special for you. The food is very tasty and is just the right amount. I like the attention to detail in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It is lovely to find a restaurant which plays tasteful music which doesn't encroach on your conversation. The facilities and it's staff are also excellent. I always recommend Kaspers to anyone who wants to have an excellent dining experience. I just regret that I don't live nearer to London and can only eat at Kaspars occasionally. Thank you for giving my husband a very happy birthday treat.
Lovely lunch as always!
Great night out.
This was the first visit for my Mum and her friend and our waiter really looked after us; bringing a birthday champagne treat and was very helpful and charming. As someone who has dined there on a handful of occasions as a treat, my one real disappointment was that they changed the menu from the one advertised; which meant a limited choice and it was far more expensive!
A fantastic meal with fantastic service.
Absolutely stunning interior, beautiful live music throughout, extremely friendly and personable service, one of the best 3 course lunch sets my family had and for a super reasonable price. Value for $$ is astounding. Katie is the sweetest, friendliest waitress and she really made the whole experience for us. Will definitely recommend.
Great service for a decent expensive breakfast within really nice surroundings
A excellent restaurant and lovely to go to the Savoy, with a good selection of food even from the set lunch menu which was good value. We even had a table overlooking the river which was an unexpected bonus. Definitely will be returning.
An absolutely memorable visit to Savoy dining, an experience that’ll always be remembered.
The food was beautiful and perfectly cooked.
The waiting staff were so friendly as were all other members of staff who we met at the Savoy very attentive, so polite but down to earth, a great quality to have.
All in all we had a wonderful time, I’ll definitely be a regular diner at the Savoy Hotel in the future.
Thank you for a beautiful experience.
A really wonderful experience but seriously expensive.
The food is worth it but cocktails STARTS at £20 and then steeply upwards.
My partner and I visited last Saturday evening. We selected from the set menu - excellent value and something for everyone. We had 2 glasses of fizz to start and an excellent bottle of wine - fabulous evening. We sat at the counter which was comfortable and great for people watching. All the staff were attentive and engaging. We will certainly visit again.
We had a wonderful meal on Saturday evening at the Savoy. It was my son's 30th birthday and I couldn't have wished for a better experience to round off the day. Great food, great wines and exceptional service. Thank you.
Excellent evening, food was exquisite.
Wonderful ambiance. Staff where amazing especially the Italian young lady.
Our visit to Kaspars was a real treat. We were given a window table overlooking the river, which was lovely. The food was delicious, service friendly and helpful. great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Beautiful restaurant at heart of Savoy Hotel. Was not busy night we dined there. The fish we had was cooked to perfection and we were treated like royalty. What more could you want?
Visiting the Savoy is something everyone should do at least once. For me the occasion was spent with my mum and was made all the more wonderful by the staff as well as the setting. The food was of course fabulous and the whole experience was made complete with the accompaniment of the gifted pianist. Everyone had a part to play and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
Stayed at the hotel, had breakfast and lunch a few times, excellence was a common theme! The octopus
All seemed like a wonderful dream. You made a lovely fuss of my 88 year old Mum. Made her feel very special, indeed. Thank you.
Kaspar's at The Savoy justs better and better. No where else in the West End beats Jaspar's for a special lunch.
One person in our group ordered an appetizer while everyone else only ordered entrees. The appetizer arrived with everyone else's entrees, which shouldn't have happened. As a result, everyone else had finished their meal by the time the final entree arrived. This made the meal less enjoyable and not what would you would expect of the Savoy.
Superb food and wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Be sure to ask for the Sunday lunch menu which was not volunteered but which will save you a lot of money! My ONLY slight reservation was that our desserts and coffee were served with rather undue haste which meant we definitely felt rather hustled out.
However, that is a small point when measured against the absolutely outstanding food, and the wine suggested was an excellent match. We will be back.
