Spring supergreens, tuna, yellowtail, albacore, salmon
Truffle oil, sea salt, caviar
The Toro with caviar and truffle oil is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Splurge worthy but eat it last!
Everything was delicious. This is a restaurant we come to often and always have a great experience.
What a fantastic evening- truly amazing service, food, ambiance. Only small (SMALL) extremely minor thing is that they need a better wine program. But otherwise it is my new favorite restaurant. <3 Highly highly recommend.
We had to wait 20 minutes for a table, even though we had booked and arrived on time. Apparently this is a regular complaint.
We were really looking forward to this restaurant, and although the food was good, the music was way too upbeat and electronic for a relaxing evening, jangling our nerves.
The price of the food was astronomical given the tiny portions.
We shared a tiny tuna tartare starter ($38), I had the 4-5oz miso cod ($39), we shared a small seaweed salad and my husband had one roll. The bill after tax and service charge was nearly $200.
Also, the dessert choices suddenly went into unimaginative American "stodge" like cheesecake, chocolate cake and brownies which was very disappointing as I know there are some really light, interesting Japanese desserts they have offered.
We went home, relaxed and had fresh berries for desert.
Very disappointing, as we were so keen to know there might a top-notch sushi place in our local town.
The food was amazing , ambiance great , service was a bit slow - could be related to Covid staffing issues. Great place would come back and highly recommend.
Very disappointed! After dinner at this restaurant ，I had acute gastroenteritis in the middle of the night last night！
Possibly the best quality sushi I have ever eaten. It’s a little pricey but you definitely get value for the dollar paid. The service was impeccable and the hostess and server were extremely attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back. Try the blue fin sushi for sure.
The Best Sushi in LA County! We enjoy the atmosphere and creativity of the sushi presentation !
So frickin’ good!! Specialty menu did not disappoint!!
really bad service, asked for hot tea got warm/cold tea, asked for sugar for my tea never got it, bf got his food 30mins before me so i had to watch him eat his food. my food tasted like sliced hamburger meat. not worth the money or time spent.
Great food and great service. Love as much a Nobu!
I was referred here by Mr. Ali Taheripour and I couldn't be more happier. We had someone visiting America for the first time and this was the first place we took her, it's safe to say it was amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere was 20/20. Thank you for the great food and we will definitely be returning soon.
Beautiful dark loungy decor. The food presentation was original and the theatrics with dry carbon mist and flame on certain dishes and drinks added a wow factor. Quality of fish was excellent. Regrettably 3 of the items on the menu we requested were unavailable. Overall, a delightful experience!
Absolutely stunning interior. I eat sushi at least once a week. The Sushi was very tasty but a little pricey for what you get. Small portions but
Service was terrible, yet we were forced to pay a gratuity even though the service sucked.
Don’t make your customers wait 15 minutes before taking orders. If I am spending $500 on dinner, my water cup shouldn’t be empty. Lastly, I can’t believe after repeatedly advising the host that it’s my girlfriends birthday, you guys didn’t even help us celebrate.
very romantic place. we had the best time ever , and we will back again
just so so
This place has totally shocked my palette. Unbelievable taste with an ambiance that’s simply the best! If you have not been here you absolutely must go! There is no better place. Whomever the Chef is he or she is superior to all other sushi bars.
I think this was a poor choice for us. We just wanted to try a new, fun place after a very tough year. This place is very sleek and no doubt fun after a few drinks. I'm probably just too old for this place. But we really wanted some good sushi and this place ain't it. Because of the high prices, I assumed the food would be good... it really wasn't. Sushi was either flavorless or overdressed. Why would anyone enjoy thick, spicy slices of Serrano atop yellowtail? (If you do, you have the right of course and will love this place). I'm just glad we didn't order more food before trying first. Also we were reminded a couple of times that we have 90 minutes to finish the meal because they were overbooked... Meanwhile the two immediate tables (less than 6 feet) were seated while the rest of the restaurant was empty. They needn't remind us about the timed eating again. If you like dark restaurants where they set your sushi on fire, this is the place for you. If you just want good sushi, try across the street. The staff was great. And yes, it's a horrible time for the restaurant businesses, so I hope they do well for the staff sake.
Waiters and staff were amazing. Food was really good especially the Toro shashimi with caviar on top. Great atmosphere
More expensive then expected.
This place is too dark and for the price they charge, it lack of service.
I have come here 4 times. The fish is always fresh and service is great. My main complaint is; in the 3 out of the 4 times I have been here, they did not have the coconut mango roll. I have gone early and late and it seems to make no difference. They also run out of appetizers and desserts as well. So coming here is always a gamble because there a high chance they will not have somthing. Other than that issue, the service is fantastic and the staff is amazing.
The emerald city drink was delicious. The food was good but super expensive. i eat at sushi bars all over Los Angeles and this was the most expensive of any other. you actually can't eat at a sushi bar. $11 for sunomono is crazy, it's a few slices of cucumber in vinegar!!!
I wouldn't go back unless I was desperate and someone else was paying. not fun either.
I absolutely love this place! Food is amazing, staff is friendly and attentive.
The restaurant was quite and elegant with wonderful service. The food was average. The taco were great, baked mussels were average end the sushi and rolls was not better the Whole Foods but three times the prices. The restaurant needs to work on raising the quality.
Delicious high quality and fresh! Great ambiance!
our waiter was excellent.. food and drinks! 👌🏻this is for sure right now my new favorite place for sushi 🍣
We celebrated my best friend’s birthday at Kaviar and it was awesome! The food and drinks were amazing, the toro sushi is to die for.
Thank you Samantha for the wonderful service!
Amazing place, food superior, service excellent!! Returning again & again ...
Food is amazing. Service is top notch. Lounge type vibe or very intimate atmosphere.
The food was so good. Service was also good and the place, the atmosphere, the music, everything was excellent.
Sushi was fresh and tasty! Lots of different types of fish you don't get at other regular sushi restaurants. Wagyu was also delicious. Staff and service was great. Recommend this restaurant!
Food was delicious, the service great!
Good experience overall.
Had a beautiful evening with delicious food + drinks and great service! Definitely coming back for round 2 and on! Thank you so much to our waitress Samantha you are amazing!
No outdoor seating even though I requested it on my reservation. All the tables were set outside but they would not seat us outside. The dining room was only one quarter full but they made us wait 10 minutes outside before seating us even though we had a reservation. After ordering an assortment of food and drink, we were told they could not bring us our salad because they ran out of the greens fir the salad. They could not serve us the lobster rolls we ordered because they ran out of lobster or the Japanese uni sushi. How do you run out of essentials during the early dinner hour? The waiter kept disappearing for what seemed like eternity multiple times. As we got to the end of the meal, the volume of the music went way up like night club level. It killed what little ambiance there was left. We could hardly hear ourselves. Kaviar used to be a nice place. We won’t be dining there again.
Very classy and the food was amazing
Portions are very Small.
Excellent ambiance, dinner and service. 5 stars all around. Will be looking to visit again when I am in Pasadena next
Very good customer service !! Great food ! Everything is good !! So great
