We (party of 4) were disappointed with the overall experience. seats are very close together, a window pane separating us from the other table. We ordered a bottled of wine and was charged £3 service charge (to drink it)? and £17 was added on to the bill for a tip. Food was OK and service was quick. Was asked to pay cash when settling bill.
Super food, really enjoyed ourselves, and great place to sit outside on a sunny day!
There were three of us at Kilikya’s. We all tried different dishes and it was delicious. We can’t wait to return. I highly recommend!
We were 4 of us who went after work to this lovely looking place. Great menu and lovely location. But I think they are catering to tourists and not repeat custom. The service was quite slow and we felt ignored. The staff didn’t bother to ask how our meal was or if we wanted anything while we were sat. They came twice to the table once to give the menus and then to take the orders. The potions were very small which they should have mentioned and probably encouraged us to order more. We didn’t stay for desserts and didn’t think they deserved the discretionary 12.5% service charge- to which no one protested. We were more hungry leaving the place than we arrived. Overall a disappointing evening
The food is not good is not cooking very good is still to much oil
Came to this restaurant due to the marina. Although I didn't expect much as I had read the reviews saying it was a very quaint Turkish restaurant on the waterfront. However I do expect at least a smile when greeted at the door or when my food is served. Neither was present
Amazing experience. Went there for New Years Eve and they sure know how to set a good atmosphere. They were super friendly and offered us prosecco. They seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was lovely, definitely recommend and definitely will go again.
Having a non traditional Christmas Dinner at Kilikya was outstanding. Very friendly staff and excellent Turkish food. Most highly recommended.
I was surprised by the size of the place, it was tiny. When we walked in me and my friend were not welcomed, actually when a worker did manage to appear from the dark they complete disregarded us and lead the group behind us to a seat. The group behind us, said to the waiter that we were actually in fact before them and had actually RESERVED a place. His response was shocking, just ignored and even told my friend to move back away from the tables ( that were empty). This was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Then as we were finally sat down and ordered, the waiter told us it was no good ordering a starter, main seperatly as the "restaurant is busy so we don't have time to keep coming back" to be frank I've had better customer service at Chicken Cottage! Just rude and unthoughtful.
Then when things couldn't get worse the waiter came back after 40mins! To tell us that we will still need to order again because he didn't get our order. Meanwhile another group of friends that arrived a good 30mins after us were well tucking into their mains.
What a disaster. We should have left. It continues..
Then my friend left to go to the cash machine to get some cash out. I didn't have a problem with that but I didn't see anyone else told the same thing ( probably though we were maybe dining and dashing because that was strange).
When the food finally arrived, I was beyond hungry to even taste the food, or the lack of it. We ordered Chicken shish and another Chicken dish with vegetables and yogurt.
As we left, we both agreed we had an upset stomach, due to the food. Maybe not but it could be as we both said at the same time, that we felt sick after eating that food.
Do not visit here. There are plenty of places to visit nearby.
Kilikya fix up.
A unhappy customer
Lovely staff. Lovely food. Lovely everything! 2nd time we’ve been now and would come back here in a breath! Iskander mix kebab is a must! Absolutely delicious 🤓👍
Lacking any atmosphere. Staff disinterested in serving and sat either on their phones, smoking outside or eating. Bland food, lacking any finesse. Waited a long time even though we were the only dinners in the restaurant for our meals to arrive, had to ask where the food was and interrupt the server from sitting down with their phone. Left at the end of the meal with no servers in the restaurant, plates left on the table we put our coats on and stood by the door. The server had to interrupt her cigarette to allow us to pay our bill and leave. Comes as no surprise we were the only customers In the restaurant.
Great experience staff very helpful and quick and friendly
The food was quite tasteless and the minced beef did not seem to be of a high quality. The interior of the restaurant felt more like being in someone’s conservatory rather than a restaurant, with aged furniture and ripped children’s drawings celotaped to the walls. It was definitely overpriced as I have had a higher quality meal in nicer settings in all other restaurants in St Kathrines docks although this was somehow the highest priced.
Not a good experience. Food not very tasty and service terrible. Inside the music was so loud we had to move outside to a corner outside in courtyard that was not very attractive. No one was eating inside. Saturday night. Wonder why?
Booked for birthday. Very attentive staff, good food & thougoughly enjoyed
Came here for dinner with a couple of friends. A small and cosy restaurant located in St Katherine’s docks, so it was lovely to eat by the water, great on a nice evening.
Staff were friendly and helpful and food was tasty. Would recommend if you’re in the area.
Very disappointed we turned up at 8.30 pm thinking that we could have the 3 course evening meal for £16.95 as advertised, but unfortunately this did not exist as I was told it finished at 5 pm my understanding is that that is the end of the afternoon ,so we ordered from the a la Carter menu the starter was ok the the main mixed kebab was very disappointing a small amount of meat cut very thin and placed on top of soggy pitta no salad I was not very happy with that for nearly £19.
Very nice restaurant 👌, friendly staff, nice food 🥘 🙂
We had a great team dinner here. Would recommend
Cheerful staff, lovely vibes! Food was a little mediocre but we did go in expecting it to be amazing (so that may have skewed our opinion!) but everything else was so lovely, I'd do again just for the happy staff!
We had breakfast here. Food, service, ambiance all perfect for what we wanted.. cozy place.
Left almost as soon as we arrived - it's basically just a canteen with tables packed as close to each other as possible. No space to move, no soft furnishings so terribly noisy.... Sorry, we just felt it was unpleasant and certainly not what we were looking for. Note - ratings for food and service are only entered "poor" because it's necessary to enter something. There needs to be a "NA" field.
friendly stuff, very authentic turkish food. very nice portions. A tiny hick-up in the order got corrected without any fuzz. nice view of St. Katherine's dock, kids liked it too. enjoyed it and was quite full.
Had lunch here with friends - the cold meze sharing platter was delicious. Main courses also very nice. Good service too and they had kindly reserved a table next to the window for us with a good view out over the dock. The restaurant was smaller than expected but with a cosy cheerful atmosphere - I'd go back again.
great food, service is a bit slow, but nothing horrible; Once you hint, the waiter will come over.
The restaurant was very nice, the food was nice just wish there were more authentic Turkish dishes to enjoy.
Excellent service by friendly waiters, felt very relaxed and comfortable. Food was cooked extremely well and was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys Turkish cuisine.
hated it.. came for new years.. not good! food wasn’t great, service okay, small table
The service was friendly and attentive. Everyone packed in but it works for casual dining. Meze was exceptional and we returned a couple of days later for a meze lunch. The outside tables have a great view of the docks.
Great as usual!
Excellent service in a really great setting alongside St.Katherine's Dock. Great food and really friendly service all set in a nautical decor. What's not to love! I will definitely be back and the prawn main course was sensational!
Friendly staff, they were good with our kids, lovely food and amazing baklavas for pudding. Not cheap but well worth it
This is a little late but brilliant service. Great people and lovely place for a restaurant to be based. My waiter exchanged instagrams with me and my partner and was so friendly. God bless you guys. Çok teśekuker x
Gem of a restaurant. Pick a sunny day and the location in St Katherine's dock is fantastic. Staff were great and the food perfect.
My favourite restaurant on St Katharines Dock. I go maybe twice or three times a month. The food is good Turkish, and the service is with a smile. Sat outside on sunny day, you could on the Bosphorus.highly recommended.
Lamb chops die for. Was well accommodated due to the strict diet.
Really disappointed with this restaurant. Not only was the service bad, the food was terrible too. The starter had a piece of hair in it, the bread was stone cold, sauces came 20mins after bread, we repeatedly asked for sauce for the second time, again it came as we finished (well we couldn't eat anymore) the meal. More than half our food was left over as it was pretty bland. I absolutely love Turkish food, and this place doesn't represent authentic Turkish food!!! The price is extortionate for the food that was served!!! 100% would NOT recommend...!!!
Made a reservation but no table reserved when we got there at 5:30. At 7 o'clock we were asked if we could leave by 7:30 as the table was booked from then. So we ordered coffee and desert at 7:05 this did not turn up till 7:25. The food was good apart from the stuffed aubergine, it was just like cooked mince dumped on top with no flavour. Apart from that we had about eight different dishes and all were fine . Nice to see Angora and Yakut wine on the list which brought back fond memories from Turkey
Had a lovely time - celebrating my aunt's 75th birthday. Wonderful service - they even brought a cake with a candle and sang! Excellent food - very happy. Thank you.
I was really pleased with full experience, bit pricy but really good food
