The Kinneuchar Inn is a 17th-century pub and restaurant which champions great food in an intimate setting. We recently were awarded Best Local Restaurant in Scotland 2023 by The Good Food Guide.

We serve a daily changing 'a la carte' menu, based on ingredients sourced from the Balcaskie Estate and a handful of carefully curated partners. Our menus are seasonal and produce-led, aiming to highlight the quality of the ingredients.

Helmed by James Ferguson (formerly of The Connaught and East London eatery Beagle) and partner Alethea Palmer.

    Well worth the trip from Edinburgh. Cosy pub and restaurant with really good food and beers. Staff were fantastic. We had a great time.

    We have visited this outstanding restaurant many many times. The experience is always first class and faultless. The service we receive and the food we eat is always consistently excellent - and we believe the combination of these last two words can not be matched We live in St Andrews and Kinneuchar Inn is the only place we eat out for these reasons!

    I our first visit and the restaurant & it felt like a hidden gem Our food was delicious, every dish we had was 100% Everything was freshly made to order The service was fabulous everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome We had amazing cocktails too we

    We had booked a table in the bar area. The room was lit with candle light and cozy and the atmosphere relaxed. The food was outstanding and so was the service. We had special dietary requirements and they were met gloriously. The bar was quiet in comparison to the buzzing restaurant. The food was mainly locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Good drinks menu. We'll definitely be back!

    A brilliant lunch - we had the chicken and pig cheek pie (a sharing dish for two) and it was delicious! We will be back!

    A lovely unrushed relaxing meal with delicious food and drink. The service was warm and caring and thoughtful but subtle and not in your face. The food was all fresh and full of flavour. My particular favourites were the goats cheese with muscat grapes and the madeleines.
