This was my second visit to kitch. We were a group of 5 who wanted somewhere to celebrate the introduction of marriage equality to NI with a few drinks without breaking the bank. The BYOB option you have mondays to wednesday delivered this in a nice welcoming atmosphere where we could also hear each others conversation. We had a nice window seat giving us our own little section without feeling like we were forgotten about in a corner or out of the restaurants atmosphere.
The food was exceptional, we had the 2 courses for £15 early bird menu which offered great value. The starters were very generous for this type of menu and you managed to surprise me with your haddock and chips. An obvious staple I thought I knew what to expect but it was way above average especially the nice hand cut chips.
Staff were all lovely, got us what we needed and regularly checked in to see if we were ready for more of our drinks they were keeping in the fridge for us.
Thanks for facilitating such an important and lovely occasion for us!
Gorgeous food, brilliant friendly service and super value!!!
A very pleasant evening here and the food wasn’t too expensive, yet was very high quality. I’ll be back.
It was a most enjoyable evening in every way ☺️. The food was delicious and excellent service
Food excellent. We were seated a little too close to the toilets. But all the guests raved about the food. One of the male urinals needs attention as the waste did not flow away. Value for money good and the wine was wonderful. I'll be back
Although the menu states that vegan options are available I wouldn’t recommend asking for the vegetarian burger to be veganized. Bun was replaced with sliced sourdough (not even toasted) and no sauces in the burger at all. Very dry and unexceptional. First and last visit.
Good service and the food was good for the price, our waiter was happy to recommend bars to continue our night too
First time at Kitch and simply put, it won't be our last, loved the food, very reasonably price and the service was excellent.
Goat cheese fritters, mushroom fritters and chickpea burger were fantastic
Great menu. We had the Early Bird - everything was excellent. Compliments to the chef. Service was great too. I noticed an elderly English lady coming in alone - don't know what she said, but loved the way she was treated by the waiter. Having travelled alone myself, that's why I particularly liked how she was treated as a valued customer. Thank you for everything. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. Staff very friendly and professional.
Great to find somewhere serving imaginative vegetarian, fish and meat-based food in an area where fried, grilled and chips seems dominant.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be back.
Really enjoyed our experience in kitch. We were having a family celebration and it was just perfect. Thanks you.
This is a friendly and welcoming restaurant that specialises in preparing dishes sourced from local farmers. I had the shepherds pie and an eton mess and both were very tasty.
Menu avec peu de choix
On nous a facturé 4 £ 5 tranches de pain sans beurre. Cela représente le prix de 5 baguettes soit 50 tranche de pain en France.
The food was 10/10 soooo tasty - as it always is. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. Will definitely be back.
There was a lot to love about our dinner at Kitch, but the most outstanding thing was the service. Not fussy, but incredibly attentive, and tremendously helpful and friendly. The food could have been simply decent (which it not, it was much better than that) and I would recommend this place, simply based on the overall experience.
There was a mistake with my main dish, and they bent over backwards to make it right. As a former restaurant manager, I have ideas about how that sort of thing should be handled, and the folks at Kitch exceeded what I would expect.
Everything was tasty, with the pasta standing out as perfectly cooked, in a perfectly seasoned sauce, and just the right mix of sauce/pasta. Fresh, local ingredients make it that much better. Even my picky child thought the fries were great, some of the best in the UK, according to him.
Also of note was a completely separate vegetarian menu, which made my two vegetarians very happy.
Cocktail selection good, with many Kitch specials. My drink was tasty, strong enough, and arrived very promptly.
Also really enjoyed the eclectic playlist, at just the right volume to be able to hear the music but also hear each other without shouting.
If I’m ever in Belfast again, I will make sure to have a meal at Kitch.
Great food, welcoming and hospitable staff, very enjoyable, highly recommended, would definitely return.
Sorry I never took any photos I was too busy eating, the starter of honey chilli chicken was great, and the better halfs salt and chilli squid was tasty too, the portion sizes for a starter were large but they were a little more expensive than we'd be used to but not by a lot, the mains of lamb Shepard's pie and the chicken salad were also very nice but the portion size on the Shepard's was a little small and seemed to be more potatoes than anything but after the size of the starter I didn't mind. Neither of us needed a dessert but after how good the meal was we couldn't at least try them, one lemon meringue pie and an Eton mess later we left the place thoroughly stuffed. We had 2 pints and 2 gin& lemonade and it came to £75, which was good for the quality of the meal. I'd like to go back if I was that way again and I think I'd probably order 3 or 4 starters and a couple sides to have tapas style between us. The wife says any who massive attack on the ambient music is good in her book, the atmosphere was great.
I’ve been here many times but always in the daytime so I was keen to see how the place fared at night. As expected I was not disappointed the evening I went. Great food as always. Service was excellent. James on the front desk was as entertaining as always and Gorka, our waiter, was terrific. Top marks to all concerned.
As we arrived early we noticed the restaurant filled quickly. Service was prompt and efficient. The meals were hearty and full of flavour.
Was disappointed. First time there, took a friend visiting from USA. Checked the menu on line before booking as I’m vegan. Servers were very nice and obviously new to the place as they couldn’t answer most of our questions but I repeat they were lovely, helpful and respectful. We were all disappointed with our meals so it wasn’t just one of us. As a vegan I was very disappointed with what choices I had and the meal I ordered. Wouldn’t go back.
excellent food quality, steak was just right prepared; very gentle service lady; something of the best I had in Belfast
Great find! We had the early bird menu and everything was delicious!
After reading other reviews on this restaurant I was really looking forward to it but I have to say our experience was very average. Service was extremely slow- it was not busy by any means so really no excuse for this. Plus our starters were brought out at different times- my friend was finished eating by the time mine arrived. The starters were ok but the mains were fairly disappointing. The steak was tasty and well cooked but the chips were soggy and the chickpea burger was overly salty and very cloying with the brioche bun- they did not work well together as both were very dry- could have done with some sauce of some sort. We did not stay for dessert. Overall it was a disappointing dining experience. Maybe we just got them on a bad night as most other reviews seem good.
We were seated straightaway and our order for food and drink was taken. Food took quite a while to arrive considering how quiet the restaurant was. We shared a starter that was really nice and very tasty. Our main courses took a while to be served and the croutons were missing from the chicken salad but were delivered to the table once they were asked for. The dessert was delicious and overall it was a nice evening and good value.
Lovely, quirky restaurant with great early bird and gluten free choices. Food was delicious and great value for money. Cocktails were fab as well. The lovely charming service from our waiters was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend and will be back!
Food was delicious , full of flavor and very good value for the two course early bird. The guy serving us was super friendly , made you feel like he knew you and that you were a regular . I will definitely go back when visiting Belfast .
Great location, fantastic menu and a reasonable wine list.
Lovely place, good selection of food (for allergy sufferers) and service was decent as well. Would definitely go again and try dinner menu as food was delicious.
The food was good and the right portions for tapas. Staff overall were attentive but seemed to disappear after we finished eating. We had to chase to get the bill and then they were in a rush to get us out as it was almost closing time.
Had a lovely Father’s Day meal here and we both really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were wonderful - very attentive without being overbearing, friendly and professional. The food was lovely but the portions sizes were small, I would have expected a bit for for the price.
Excellent veggie, vegan and gluten free options with an entire vegetarian menu.
Overall a good experience and I would definitely return.
Excellent food snd friendly service!! Bonus the have an entire vegetarian menu in addition to the regular menu! Good wine list and tasty desserts!!
We were a party of 5 out for a catch up lunch. I choose Kitch primarily because of the vegetarian options. Two of the party had the Mushroom Risotto and it was well received by both diners. A further two opted for the tempura battered hake and chips. The batter was light and crispy and the hake was perfectly cooked. The final choice was the BLT which was rated highly also.
Will definitely be back to try the flatbread which looked absolutely delicious.
We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend to others. Really enjoyed the Wee Plates, and the Orzo Pasta and Shepherd’s Pie were delicious. Friendly and efficient service. Keep up the good work!
One of the best meals and desserts I've ever eaten. Everything is made to order, it was a quiet and calm atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. A must visit in Belfast.
Went here before a show & chose from the pre-theatre menu. Absolutely fantastic food, I can't remember the last time I had such a tasty meal. Fabulous staff & owner came out to chat to us for a few minutes. If only I lived in Belfast! However I will certainly be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommended.
Great service, great atmosphere and fab food. A bit more costly than expected but the food is worth the cost
We booked a table online and after a slight wait were shown to a great table by the window. Staff were excellent and our meals were superb. It was our first time at Kitch but wont be our last.
