Korova Restaurant
The food is contemporary European with a forever changing menu of seasonal produce from suppliers, breeders and growers who share our values and passion. Some items are produced locally, some from remote farms in France and Italy.
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant, with excellent food and service.
I was very optimistic about this lovely looking local place, however the food and drinks are very expensive for the venue. We spent £240 on 4 people! The steak main was the most disappointing as it was an entrecôte cut and very fatty and chewy. A pity. I won’t be going back for dinner.
A lovely family run restaurant where my family are always welcomed and made to feel like part of the family. The food is lovely too! Would recommend to anyone.
Simple but delicious menu and fantastic cocktails. The best martini I've had in a long time!
Excellent food , and great service. A real gem for the area, and worth travelling for.
Intimate service and super food, a real pleasure. Meaningful food served by people that care
Great food and fantastic service and lovely ambience.
A pleasant ambiance, good service and a low noise level, so it was all the more disappointing that the food did not match the environment. With four of us dining, only one of the main dishes was first rate. Well cooked fish needed a suitable garnish. And the expensive steak was over cooked, dried out and virtually uneatable. In any self-respecting restaurant, ambitious of excellence, it would never have left the kitchen.
A wonderful local restaurant in Tufnell Park. The food is excellent
Menu is small, but everything on it is really good. Service is very friendly and quick. The cocktails are very moreish!
The food tasted really good; however, the quality of the ingredients and last touches could have been better. Had the steak and the duck and the steak was over cooked and the duck skin was soggy. Overall the meal was very good, but I found the prices to be a little too high for the quality we received, especially for the wine they were offering. Most restaurants have a considerable markup on the wine, but don’t usually charge £33 for a £8 bottle. The wine was very good but that’s a little steep. Great place with a lot of potential, but just missing the mark
I've been to Korea once before and loved it so much that I knew it was the place to take my parents to when they visited. They are lovers of good food, wine, and cocktails, and Korova didn't disappoint them in the slightest. My mom said the tuna may have been the best tuna she's ever eaten. The menu is seasonal, so it's small, but everything is delicious. Price-wise, it's on the higher end of affordable.
Great service, really good food, nice ambience, was next to the front window on a sunny day and it was a nice view with a park across the street. When we walked in the chef and one waitress (manager?) were sitting chatting which was nice to see as it represented that the place feels like a small, personal place that takes its food seriously but is really relaxed and wants you to enjoy your time there.
Wonderful!
Really enjoyed my evening at Korova.
Food:
Wild garlic soup has inspired me to try and recreate my own.
Steak was perhaps not the highest quality meat, but for the price I can't complain and was cooked perfectly.
Triple cooked chips 10/10
Ambience:
Cute resturant, love the tiled walls and the candles gave a real sense of being lost in europe.
Service:
Very professional, alert and well versed on their food.
Local restaurant serving very high quality food. Pleasant service in a quiet, intimate room.
Lovely food - delicate and delicious flavours, seeved by charming and friendly staff. Scallops particularly good, duck beautifully cooked Good music. Nice ambience. Liked the tiled walls inside, and particularly the pale green ones in the porch.
It was Tuesday so only two other diners - felt a bit empty.
We shared one starter and one desert and each had a main course and a large glass of wine. Bill came to around £72 including service.
We’re intending to come back with friends for supper club when it restarts.
Fantastc restaurant, I’ve been twice, each time great food and service. Thoroughly recommend.
Great find. Food and atmosphere both perfect for my partner and I. The staff/owners were very welcoming and obviously cared about how the restaurant was run. I will definitely be going back.
Always a great choice for dinner! Really good seasonal food on a frequently changing menu. Tasty but not too pricey wine list. Been there a few times now - highly recommendable!
Just lovely!
Great local restaurant. Quality food and good cocktails
A local favourite. Good choices on set menu. Creme brûlée lovely but too much after steak and chips!!
Charming and delightful, with excellent food, wine and cocktails.
Top notch food; great service. Nice intimate local restaurant
Went to Korova for dinner with my husband and enjoyed 3 courses, a cocktail and wine. The restaurant is lovely - understated and relaxed whilst still managing to feel special. The food is excellent, we had scallops and french onion soup as starters, fresh pappardelle and pheasant as mains and shared a salted caramel and chocolate dessert. All of the food was very good - beautifully presented, decent sized portions and very well executed. Delicious! Very lucky to have this restaurant nearby.
This place is a brilliant neighbourhood gem, the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy and the food is absolutely delicious with interesting ingredients and divine flavours. And the people are lovely too!
A great place for beautifully cooked food.
The former diary isn't flashy in any way, but the food is the focus with great service and a very reasonable wine list. Cocktails are fun and imaginative. The proprietors are doing a wonderful job of running a lovely local restaurant with food a cut above most things in Central London. Well worth supporting and letting more of North London find this gem.
This is the local restaurant that you need for Tufnell Park. Good quality food, well chosen menu, reasonable prices, good choice of wine and drinks, nice, cosy environment.
This was our first time to Korova and we had such a lovely experience. The ambience was delightful, the staff were friendly and knowledgable and the food was delicious! Will definitely come back.
My boyfriend and I went for dinner at Korova for the first time last week. The restaurant is easy to find, the atmosphere is lovely. The service and food are outstanding. We love that place and we will definitely go back soon!
This is a great restaurant with fantastic food, cocktails and wine and excellent service. The rib eye steak, triple cooked chips and bernaise sauce leaves other restaurants in the shade. Definitely one we will be returning to. Thsnks for a great evening
One of our favourites! Delicious food and great atmosphere
Good food good place
Perfect for a date, to enjoy a dinner face to face
Very good food. Excellent chef. Real boon to have this restaurant in the neighbourhood. Very friendly staff.
We went for an evening meal the cocktails were great and the food was superb. We sat outside because it was cooler. The waiter was helpful friendly and well informed. We had a 3 course meal was a lovely evening. Will definitely be going back.
Was not rushed very relaxed.
What a brilliant experience. So much fun, great food and fast, friendly service. Really impressed and surprised and will be back!
The food is lovingly prepared and it has evidently been thought through thoroughly.
The food was amazing and the staff were really nice and happy to help with cocktail suggestions. Definitely worth a visit (or 5)!
Never less than exceptional bistro cooking, based on French classics with a European/British twist and delectable ingredients. Superb hosting and cocktails. Chef Steve goes out of his way to accommodate gluten-free/dietary requirements & always happy to talk over menu in advance on the telephone. Small, stylish, vintage late 50s /60s tiled ex-dairy/butchers. Perfect for date nights/friends who want an intimate space. Not yet found another London neighbourhood restaurant to rival it.
