For years, Thai food in London Has been dumbed-down and dull. Typically rich and sweet, and served out of chain restaurants and supermarket aisles, like boring and bland Pad Thai or Green Chicken Curry.
It's everything we stand against.
Our flavours come from Northern Thailand - Chiang Mai - which are entirely different, punchier and much more complex, with international notes from neighbouring countries Laos, Myanmar (Burma) and China.
Excellent food. Quite cramped and loud, but very nice for a quick meal.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Small menu with authentic dishes, flavours and presentation. Friendly staff and happy atmosphere to enjoy a delicious meal.
super cozy & sweet intimate place with delicious range of food for a deeeecent price. 10/10 - also staff are v warm, friendly & welcoming! - i don't even review places, so this was worth it!
Had such an amazing meal here - absolutely delicious food with authentic, interesting flavours with a kick. Loved it - and only wish we lived closer so could come more often.
Delicious Thai food. Very reasonably priced. Cute and cozy environment. Extremely accommodating for gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant people. They called on the day of our booking to advise me on what was gluten and dairy free along with amending the buttermilk fried chicken to dairy free fried chicken - which was still tasty AF!!! 100% recommend and we’ll will be back there very soon.
Lovely staff, briliant food and amazing service
Nice small pop up with a different menu offering a small but good selection of options. The service was very good and I liked the ambience, particularly the lovely incense. Although the food was very tasty I can't say I wasn't disappointed with the small portion sizes. When the mains were placed down in front of us I thought there had been a mix up and they were starters but this was not the case. On top of this I do think £4.50 for a small can of beer is quite steep, I was expecting a glass bottle for this price and although the cocktail was again very tasty, the glass it came in was very small and filled with ice which meant it was gone in a few meagre sips. Having said all of this, what we did get was delicious, I just personally can't get on board with places that dish out small portions and would have loved MORE of everything!
We absolutely loved KraPow - I can't wait to go back again. Everything we ordered was delicious- super fresh, fragrant, spicy, but never over-done. Some of the most delicious Thai food I have ever had. Dishes that were at once familiar and very different from the standard fare on offer in London. So.So.Good.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A really nice casual atmosphere that manages to be both chilled and buzzy at once. Love it.
Absolutely delicious Thai food - a welcome change from the usual Anglo-Thai fare. Friendly and informal.
Love this place and I'm v lucky that its so local to me. The food is not like your normal Thai as not sweet which i hate, but sour, spicy and salty.. depending on what you have. The fried chicken is divine as is their signature Krapow moo which is a must. They have started to do specials too do do order from the specials. There was only one dish we ordered from the special that i personally found a bit too salty . We had ordered the fried chicken.. the spicy pork mince..if that's on the specials board please order, a pork curry which i personally found too salty, fried rice with chicken
The house cocktail is delicious and exotic.
Total bill for 2 with drinks and service was £55 which is not bad considering the quality of the food.
The atmosphere is cosy and the staff engaging.
I hope they become a permanent fixture in Chatsworth road.
Give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed
Short menu which allowed kitchen to ensure ingredients were fresh while still offering the necessary variation and originality. Flavours were authentic and all dishes well executed. Highly recommended.
One of the best thai in London. Nice punchy and authentic flavours in all dishes we had! Never thought brown rice could be so good! Definitely will rave to this to anyone I know :)
Really warm welcome, relaxed and friendly ambience. I can recommend a Thai cocktail to get you started. Really exciting food, very fresh and good value. I hope this can become a permanent fixture in E5.
Lovely local restaurant. Highly recommend. Particularly enjoyed the prawn starter and beef curry.
Literally the best Thai I’ve had. Very fresh ingredients and very tasty. The fried chicken is insane. Really nice friendly owners.
Delicious food, good value, nice atmosphere and friendly staff
Authentic and delicious food, I enjoyed every single bite. The attentive staff were friendly and eager to tell us all about the food. The wine was great and the atmosphere was so cosy. Would thoroughly recommend dining there.
Lovely food in a local restaurant, good to have a little gem like this on Chatsworth Road.
Good value food and reasonable sized portions for what we ordered. Bottle of house red was reasonably priced, but at 14.5% abv it was a little stronger than expected for a house wine!
I’m becoming a regular and it’s gettinv awkward but I love this place, and each time I go my palette is hit with new flavours from a dish I haven’t tried and I’m never disappointed. I think I’ve worked myself through most of the menu now. There are no duds. Go. But don’t tell anyone else because I don’t want to be unable to get a reservation here...
Excellent a real culinary experience not to be missed. Would highly recommend your taste buds will thank you.
Just is one of my favourite places. Period. Hope it gets a permanent spot.
Really disappointed with our experience here.
I had the white turmeric salad to start which was about 60% white raw onion chunks. Really unpleasant.
The menu is also divided into 'small' and 'large' bowls, when in reality these two portion sizes are exactly the same as they come out in exactly the same size bowl - which are both small.
I genuinely don't think I have ever been served such a small main course before. It wouldn't bother me if the quality of the food was outstanding, but in this case it wasn't.
Service was really scatty, food took a really long time to come out, we were charged for extra food on our bill.
We both left feeling extremely frustrated by our experience and essentially ripped off.
Would not recommend to a friend and would not go back.
A great restaurant with a local and friendly vibe while still managing to turn out extraordinary Thai food made with passion and a true love for Thailand!
Great Thai food and incredibly cheap, especially for quality and London!
Disappointing! Expensive tiny portions of nice, but not excellent, food and super slow service.
The restaurant and concept is awesome as well as the staff. However was a little disappointed with the food. Portions were quite small nothing compared to proper Thai street food. The Panang curry was nice and creamy but the shrimp started was tiny and nothing crazy.
It was still a nice place to see, but there may be improvements.
Second time - brought a bunch of friends this time. Everyone loved it. Every dish was outstanding ... and we had a few. The staff put up with us well too! Will be back if they have me.
Love this place, I feel some Thai food is under-rated but this northern Thai restaurant really hits the spot and shows you how great Thai food really is. Hoping to go back here at some as all the dishes were amazing and can't wait to eat their food again!!
Excellent food. Will definitely be returning soon.
Price/Quality is amazing.
I'm vegetarian and although options were limited, the soup with tofu was splendid!
Tofu is not something exciting at all but this was one was very succulent, good quality but nost of all super tasty.
Would definitely recommend
Fabulous food and a great ambience. Thai Fried Chicken and Khao Soi (Tofu) were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!
Excellent Thai food that is very different from the normal fare. There are a couple of delicious vegan options on the menu, especially the noodle curry which I had for mains and dessert! Service is great too, we tried extra dishes that were coming up on the next seasons menu, on the house.
Fantastic food and service as always, certainly some of the best Thai food i have had for a long time. very authentic...
Cosy restaurant perfect for dates or groups.
Very good service /Nice people
Me and my girlfriend had a really great time here on our anniversary.
The two lads who run the show looked after us lots of lovely free cocktails and dessert.
Oh and the food was amazing too!!!
We will be going back soon
Fantastic food, great service. Lovely feel and vibe to the restaurant.
Everything was great, the staff and food were excellent!
Deserves 6 stars. Intriguing menu, very affordable (£20/head for a handful of starters & mains til we were stuffed), cheerful & prompt service and most importantly food to die for. Scrap that, to KILL FOR. Just go. (Not this Friday, pls, cos we’re going back).
Really welcome addition to the area. We hope it stays!
Delicious food and great service.
Gorgeous Thai food, friendly staff and reasonable prices, highly recommend
