Kudu is a friendly neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Peckham.
Our menu is shaped by the seasons, creative plates that combine the very best produce with a splash of imagination to give familiar dishes a playful twist.
Our South African roots inspire our food - whether that's slow cooking in a potjie pot over hot coals, or baking our delicious Kudu bread. Sourced as much as possible from local suppliers, we celebrate hunters & foragers and gather what we can from our own herb garden and vegetable plot.
Kudu is a couple team- Amy Corbin & Patrick Williams - brought together by our love of good food and a closely held dream to create a special place where we can share our favourite dishes with friends, family and neighbours.
Come say hi!

Great little spot on Queens rd! The vibe, the service, the decor and most importantly the food is amazing. Eat the bread even if you don’t eat bread!

Amazing food! Onglet is to die for. Quite pricey given the small portion sizes however but definitely still going back.

On a cold winter’s night it was rather exciting to draw the entrance curtains ... and enter the hubbub! The food and service were good to very good - up there with 5 or 6 other places in Peckham - but the atmosphere was a massive treat.

Thank you I had a lovely time. Brunch menu was a delight. Eggs were well cooked. My avocado mash was nicely seasoned. All is well in the world if your Sunday kicks off to a start like mine at Kudo.

A lovely, cozy spot in Peckham - I can't wait for my next visit! The service in particular was great. And the 'Dutch baby' dessert was absolutely delicious.

We sat on the high table (2-seats) of which there were 3. Not suitable for people with short legs as seats & table fixed at height. We took the middle so away from noise of main restaurant which was positively buzzing. There is seating along the bar area also. Our waitress from Poland was very knowledgable and very pleasant which always makes eating-out enjoyable. Food was close to Michelin standard- highest praise I can think of. We ate more than we should as we couldn’t decide what to ‘not say no to’! We were very very full as each dish is supposedly for sharing so we had the kudu bread with seafood dip (meant for two sharing) + Parmesan churros (cause we were greedy) salmon plate & mussels plate, then the onglet (beef) which was for two sharing plus a bottle of Prosecco which complemented all of the dishes. With 12 ½% service charge added bill came to £111 & change - worth every penny. Still salivating 2 days later. Yum

A real treat to walk off the street in Peckham to this little oasis of South African cool. Really low key style that is so relaxing. Great service without being overbearing and the food is sensational. We weren’t going to have the bread until the waitress suggested it, and what a mistake that would of been to ignore. The whole experience was delightful and refreshing!

The food was delicious, slightly larger portions would have been good, large plates, definitely weren't large (Braai Squash, was a tiny cut of squash and the dessert was one scoop of ice cream). We left slightly hungry, but the quality of the food was brilliant, we loved the atmosphere and the staff were great. Would recommend.

This is a brilliant little restaurant in the heart of newly cool Peckham. Serves a mixure of African influenced dishes. Lots on offer but the plates are very small so make sure you order loads! Great buzzing atmosphere with an open grill in the background. Yummy cocktails too! We'll be back!

On one of the bitterest days of January, we walked through the curtains at Kudu and felt immediately warmed by the slightly mysterious, chocolatey interior. Our waitress was great and ensured that our small table was never over-crowded by the exotic sharing plates that kept arriving from the open kitchen. There is nothing predictable about the menu and ordering was a bit of an adventure in itself; peri peri ducks hearts in dukkah, beet dauphinoise and brai onion squash with dandelion to name just a few of the dishes we tasted for the first time. The food was unapologetically bold and rich - definitely not a ' healthy new years resolution' destination. Luckily we were more 'try-anuary' than 'dry-anuary' and enjoyed the quirkily named 'Goats do Roam', South African red wine , a bit too much - very smooth and a great match with the dishes. The next day we all agreed we would have to eat lettuce leaves for a week to make amends.
