Our menu is shaped by the seasons, creative plates that combine the very best produce with a splash of imagination to give familiar dishes a playful twist.
Our South African roots inspire our food - whether that's slow cooking in a potjie pot over hot coals, or baking our delicious Kudu bread. Sourced as much as possible from local suppliers, we celebrate hunters & foragers and gather what we can from our own herb garden and vegetable plot.
Kudu is a couple team- Amy Corbin & Patrick Williams - brought together by our love of good food and a closely held dream to create a special place where we can share our favourite dishes with friends, family and neighbours.
Come say hi!
Food was excellent super tasty!! The service was excellent and they could not do enough.
Amazing food! Onglet is to die for. Quite pricey given the small portion sizes however but definitely still going back.
5 stars all round. The food was absolutely beautiful.
On a cold winter’s night it was rather exciting to draw the entrance curtains ... and enter the hubbub! The food and service were good to very good - up there with 5 or 6 other places in Peckham - but the atmosphere was a massive treat.
Such a great restaurant, I love it. The staff are great the food is fantastic the service is prompt and an all round brilliant experience.
I love the way the staff are attentive but also don’t bother you with constant questions but let you enjoy yourself
Cannot recommend this place enough. Lovely cosy evening atmosphere. Great food. Simple delicate extremely tasty.
Thank you I had a lovely time. Brunch menu was a delight. Eggs were well cooked. My avocado mash was nicely seasoned. All is well in the world if your Sunday kicks off to a start like mine at Kudo.
A lovely, cozy spot in Peckham - I can't wait for my next visit! The service in particular was great. And the 'Dutch baby' dessert was absolutely delicious.
Delicious food and a warm welcome. Given a better table than we had booked which was appreciated.
will definitely go back again
Another faultless dinner. Don’t pass on the counter seats!
Delicious food, excellent service. So glad to have this as a local.
Excellent food and experience: my guests loved it for Sunday lunch. A great new addition to the Peckham dining scene.
Delicious and interesting food in a lovely setting and super knowledgeable waiters
So good, 3rd time here, always hits the spot. Peckhams star,
We sat on the high table (2-seats) of which there were 3. Not suitable for people with short legs as seats & table fixed at height. We took the middle so away from noise of main restaurant which was positively buzzing. There is seating along the bar area also. Our waitress from Poland was very knowledgable and very pleasant which always makes eating-out enjoyable. Food was close to Michelin standard- highest praise I can think of. We ate more than we should as we couldn’t decide what to ‘not say no to’! We were very very full as each dish is supposedly for sharing so we had the kudu bread with seafood dip (meant for two sharing) + Parmesan churros (cause we were greedy) salmon plate & mussels plate, then the onglet (beef) which was for two sharing plus a bottle of Prosecco which complemented all of the dishes. With 12 ½% service charge added bill came to £111 & change - worth every penny. Still salivating 2 days later. Yum
The staff are always friendly, the food is always delicious.. what more could you want!
Great food, great service, great experience. Particularly enjoyed the Parmesan Churros and Duck
Kudu has delicious food that is inventive and excellently presented. We visited on a Sunday and the staff were incredibly helpful yet relaxed. Planning to go back again and again.
I love this place ....the food is amazing and the staff are exceptional.. chefs are masters ...do your selves a favour and go
Once again, we had an incredible experience at Kudu. This time it was brunch time and we were served in the best possible way! Keep going guys
Great find !All the food was delicious! Four of us shared lots of different dishes and all of them were excellent and really interesting. It was absolutely packed so a bit on the noisy side. Have already recommended to work colleagues.
Really exquisite food. Great flavours, textures and combinations. I only wish I could have tried everything on the menu. The pollock was outstanding! The staff are friendly, fun and informative. Lovely ambience - it is somehow sophisticated, yet personal and chilled.
A real treat to walk off the street in Peckham to this little oasis of South African cool. Really low key style that is so relaxing. Great service without being overbearing and the food is sensational. We weren’t going to have the bread until the waitress suggested it, and what a mistake that would of been to ignore. The whole experience was delightful and refreshing!
Beautiful, thoughtful and most importantly delicious outstanding food! Service was brilliant, friendly, confident staff and just the right amount of communication between courses! Highly recommend for those with a taste for the finer things in life!
Very enjoyable supper had with partner, excellent service and delicious menu that had us trying new things.
Brilliant. I will be back
The food was outstanding and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
Kudu is a fantastic find few minutes walk away from my home. Inspiring menus, great tasting food, fab ambiance and truly friendly staff makes this place worth visiting again and again. Could not recommend this place more!
Enthusiastic staff that are passionate for the food produced and warmly welcoming. The service was fantastic and the food was just insane for the price you pay! I’ll 100% reccomend this absolute gem of a restaurant to friends & family and i’ll Be returning in the next few weeks myself for a second round. Big up the kudu crew you certainly know how to cook up some splendid grub!
We weren't given a physical bill at the end, just bought the card machine.
The food was delicious, slightly larger portions would have been good, large plates, definitely weren't large (Braai Squash, was a tiny cut of squash and the dessert was one scoop of ice cream). We left slightly hungry, but the quality of the food was brilliant, we loved the atmosphere and the staff were great. Would recommend.
Really high quality, interesting food and wine, served by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Delicious food and excellent staff who were very understanding when one of our group had to leave due to illness (totally unrelated to kudu!!)
Thank you, will be back in full force
Fantastic hidden gem in the heart of Queens Road Peckham, perfect for any occasion.
One of the best dinners I've had in a while, the cocktails and the food were outstanding, as was our waiter!
This is a brilliant little restaurant in the heart of newly cool Peckham. Serves a mixure of African influenced dishes. Lots on offer but the plates are very small so make sure you order loads! Great buzzing atmosphere with an open grill in the background. Yummy cocktails too! We'll be back!
On one of the bitterest days of January, we walked through the curtains at Kudu and felt immediately warmed by the slightly mysterious, chocolatey interior. Our waitress was great and ensured that our small table was never over-crowded by the exotic sharing plates that kept arriving from the open kitchen. There is nothing predictable about the menu and ordering was a bit of an adventure in itself; peri peri ducks hearts in dukkah, beet dauphinoise and brai onion squash with dandelion to name just a few of the dishes we tasted for the first time. The food was unapologetically bold and rich - definitely not a ' healthy new years resolution' destination. Luckily we were more 'try-anuary' than 'dry-anuary' and enjoyed the quirkily named 'Goats do Roam', South African red wine , a bit too much - very smooth and a great match with the dishes. The next day we all agreed we would have to eat lettuce leaves for a week to make amends.
Delighted to finally discover this neighbourhood gem - can't believe I can have such fine dining a short cycle from my house. Creative dishes, friendly service, low-key atmosphere... looking forward to returning throughout the seasons to see how their menu responds.
A superb little restaurant with wonderful inventive food. My companion said that it wassome of the tatiest food that she had ever had.
Great inventive food in a jewel box restaurant A rare retreat from the hustle and bustle of Peckham!
